Yeah, I thought the same thing too. Did you see them in Golden Parachute? When she gets out of the hummer and Speed is talking to her...he keeps looking her up and down. It was so obvious..made me wonder about them.

Also, later in the episode, Delko makes a comment about Megan and Speed comes to her defense. Delko says, "I didn't know." And Speed says, "Yeah? Well, there's a lot you don't know." That line just sticks out every time.

Yeah, I always wondered if there was more to it but the writers never pursued it. I don't remember them saying where Megan went when she left but it was not in Florida. I think they should have had her take another CSI job in another city and instead of killing Speed off in "Lost Son", they should have had Megan come back for that episode, tell him how much she missed him. Maybe go more in depth about when Speed told Delko there was a lot he didn't know and have her offer him a job with her.

That's what I think would have been a great way to send off Speed instead of killing him.

Since Rory doesn't want to do TV, having his character still alive doesn't mean he has to come back someday. I don't think he'll ever be seen on a TV show again but that's just my opinion. :) :)

I guess the writers wanted to make sure there was no chance of his return since he was so hell bent on leaving.
 
i reckon that she was a hired assassin for the FBI and that way if she happens to come back and Stetler's turned into a crooked cop, she could shoot him and not get done for it.
 
If I'm not mistaken, I think in her letter to Horatio she stated that she was going back to her family but I'd have to watch that eppy again. I think it was Camp Fear.

I read an article about how she and David Caruso didn't have the right chemistry, and that David didn't like her and was making things hard for her on set so they decided it was nt going to work and wrote her out of it. Shame really her character could have been good, but although what I've seen Kim Delaney, she seems like a good actress but in Miami she always seem on edge and anxious. Like, jittery. I dunno if they meant that due to her loosing her husband but it seemed a little out of place.

Anxious, upset, impatient sometimes, seriouse, fast speaking pace...That's what I saw on her face and how she handled her cases...That might be what she should act according to the character...But she did do it excellently!








 
Yeah obviously after loosing her husband she wouldn't be totally feeling great, but the anxiousness just didn't seem right, it seemed like as an actress she wasn't comfortable with the part. Like i siad though it' a real shame she went, I actually liked the idea of having Delaney on Miami, but for some reason it obviously didn't bode well for the writers. She should have a had a better exit though, so she went out with a bang, the ending they gave her was crap really, and didn't do her justice.
