"Meet Market" Discussion *Spoilers*

OOC is out of character.

*did like that beginning scene with the umbrella, even with the ew factor*

oh...i really can't see grissom, who is a logical, non emotional person to suddenly feel the urge to write a love letter. It was really cheesy, and pointless. This whole relationship is just really awkward and force, just like that scene. I don't see myself continuing to watch the show if they keep this up.

Can someone explain to me why so many people (not just this forum) think the scene of Grissom writing that letter was a flashback? I know originally they were going to have one, but I didn't see any indication that the scene as shown was supposed to have occured in the past. Usually, they make the scene look dreamy or at least have a character's POV shown prior to switching to the flashback.

it was my impression that grissom was going to put that letter in the box with his gift, but decided not to...because sara did look at his gift when they flashed to that scene.

Sara bidding on the stripper with her ID made the episode for me.

I loved that part. Perfect Sara moment and a nice little nod to some of Jorja's previous work.

Shamefully, I know very little about Jorja's previous work (aside from Memento, which is one of my top ten fav movies evar). Which work would you be referring to?

Hmm...ok. Thank you for answering my question. I will rewatch it tonight. I didn't see any flashing! I do remember Sara looking at the plant, but I thought it was a regular seque to another scene at a different location.

Jorja has portrayed a gay character at least twice (ER and Ellen). I know that's a sensitive topic on some boards...not sure about here. I just thought it was cute in the episode.

Ok so... I liked it!

OMG! Why postpone his trial thing?!? Two main reasons:

-They wanted to wait for Grissom to be back
-They wanted to push it so that it would be in later episodes so they could do whatever they are plnning on doing after all this current drama dies down and things go back to normal..

Omg.. I know a lot of people don't want anything else for Greg, but man am I excited. And really, everyone has had something lately except for Warrick. (Sara's is coming up apparently) so... yeah. It seems like this finale will ROCK.
Which means it will be even more torturous.

After the last finale, I was pissed and wasn't in the mood for any CSI for a while, so that made the wait easier. Might not be the case this time.

The rest of the epi:
Delightful. There was plenty of everyone (not oodles of Greg, but more than usual) and even Griss, who I miss quite a bit. And it wasn't overflowing with Cath. So I liked that.

And the case was cool too.

So, I'm happy as of now. :)

That's what i thought as well, xfcanadian. I had a feeling he wanted to send that letter along with the stick thing :)lol:) but then he "chickened out" at the last minute. A flash of vulnerability and actual emotion, then he just stops and reverts. *insert a confused look and sigh here.*

I guess I'm in the minority when I say that I too like Keppler. :) He's very mysterious and withdrawn, it reminds me of Grissom but in a completely different way that's almost refreshing... did that make sense?
Anyway, the episode was alright. I didn't expect Nick and Keppler to get along so well.
And is it just me, or did anyone else think (even for the briefest of moments) back to Grave Danger when Nick was examining that Jewish coffin?
No one? Just me? Alright. :D So, yeah. Pretty good episode overall.

well if he wanted to put the letter into a box why would he write an address on the envelope? why would he even put it into the envelope and not just put the letter itself into a box? i think those two things, the cocoon and the letter were separate, and yesterday's scene wasn't a flashback.

I have to agree with Adzix, Why would Grissom want to sent the letter to Sara if he going to put it in the box? I do that all the time when I sent a gift to my friend out west, I put the card in the box instead mail it separate. It a lot cheaper then sent it to the mail separate.

My Wife and I have been married for 16 years, and have never watched prime time tv. Nor had a tv in the bedroom. Last year she started having some health issues, so I put a tv in the bedroom so she could watch more comfortably. (Turned out to be a great excuse to buy a Plasma! :D) Anyway, she discovered CSI, and now we are both hooked.

I think it will be a big mistake if Grissom leaves the show. I think the chemistry will suffer.

I think the kid killed his Mom out of a reaction. If he could have gotten past that initial reaction of rage, he wouldn't have done it. He was overcome emotionally, and just reacted. Crazy, but that's my theory.

I don't know about Keppler. Next week's preview looked really good, and should shed some light on him. He seems to have some secrets.

As for the other characters. I like them all. I think the chemistry and continuity between them is much greater than the Miami CSI team. They are very good at their parts. I've really grown to like Nick. He can goof around, but still be a no bullshit kind of guy. Can get very intense when necessary. I like that.

Is next week the last episode of the year?

ITA with you. He obviously had issues anyway, and the whole situation between them was just more than he could deal with so quickly.

Sweet Jane seemed to drag on at a numbing pace, but the last 2 eps have been OK. I sort of like Keppler's dark character and it should be cool to see him interact with Grissom. At least he brought a new element into play during Grissom's absence.

I'm with you, eszmanda_luver! I can't wait to see how Greg's storyline regarding Demetrius' brother and the civil lawsuit!

Didn't I read somewhere that Wendy and Keppler were supposed to have had a conversation over dinner or something like that? I guess that scene was cut for time. It would have been interesting to see them interact in other than a work setting.
