I knew it would happen but of course I'm sad to see Catherine leave.. but for Marg I guess it's good for her to provide her amazing talents somewhere else..

I go away for a few days and I come back to hear that Marg is leaving CSI. :eek: Honestly I also knew it was coming. She had said a while back that she wanted to do something else. I honestly think since they gave Catherine her boyfriend, that's why Marg stayed. Not like I'm complaining.. :lol:

Second, I'm really not thrilled about her leaving to take over the casino. To me, that's the cheap way out. Yea, it keeps Catherine 'in Vegas' so if Alex Carter stays on the show, we can assume that his character and Catherine are still together. Again not like I'd mind that but I think Catherine needs more than just 'going off to run one of my dad's casinos' as an exit storyline.

I'd love to see Marg do a comedy. She has a wicked sense of humor and would pull off it off really well.

Thanks for the transcript,Eric.My internet today is so slow that I gave up.

What she said is so true.Marg has made Catherine very real.She is complex but I can relate to her .We have CSI reruns over and over in my country and I watched "Weeping Willows" yesterday.I could understand why she was so lonely at the time that kissed somebody like Novak.But what I love the most is that she is not ashamed of anything.I am going to miss her.:(:(

Edit: Thanks to JAA for telling me about it...tonight's Informania had a segment about cliched female cops, and Catherine was one of the examples. Kie's other favorite, Olivia Benson was also in it. It was quite hilarious. :lol: You can watch the video here:

According to this article by TV Guide, Marg is the third highest paid actor (along with David Caruso and Mark Harmon) in TV drama. It also confirms the paycut, though. While she makes 375,000 per episode now, she reportedly made 390,000 in season 10. I believe that Chris and Mariska also took a cut...

If they want to keep her on for a little while longer the pay cut might be one of the deal brakers.
