Mac/Stella #9: Her Greekness Is His Weakness

My mom would say, "You dad will always come first in my heart because he was." (I lost my dad four years ago)

I guess that's the same with Mac. And yes, Stella probably knew Claire herself and was witness to how close Mac and Claire were.

Mmmm, okay yeah if you look at it that way, that makes sense Cate...(that's sweet of your mom by the way, I like that :D )

Yeah I think the 3 of them were all good friends...and I don't know if it was in one of your fics Cate or someone elses or just something that feels like a fic, but I could see Claire joking with Mac and telling him that if anything ever happened to her he should let Stella take care of him and he should take care of her...

I'm laughing at my fanfic knowledge but It was Semper Fidelis by Remote Control Princess

haha  I spend too much time reading that stuff :)

Yeah I agree with all the Mac Clare comments-Too lazy to expand on anything zzzz

Cate: Cute comment from your Mum!

Marti you rock! Yay, that's exactly which one it was! You so rock, I love that you knew that from my vague description...sweet deal! Good times, that was a fab ficcie...

And because I'm too tired to expand on much else...Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, KISS!

Haha! Join the club. It's 6.20 here and i have frickin exams tomorrow :( MUST STUDY instead of talkcsi! *slaps self*

Marti you rock!

Like Lindsay  Yeah I was reading it the other day :) So it's still fresh in my mind

Actually I was reading on the csi ny books (can't rememeber it) and to be 100% honest the only line I remember is one from Jane Parsons pov-Might not be in exact words

"Was there more to Mac and Stella than just friendship?" Hehe sniggered there

Viva la SMacked!

Lol, yeah good luck with the studying, these boards are addictively seductive...the suck you in and don't let you go!

Lol, I always knew that Jane Parsons was a smart woman ;) And uh...yeah it's called...L-O-V-E!! :D

^^ Seems you guys have been bussy on my day off city, great! As somebody else has point out, you have been talkin/typing about so many interesting topics, and I'm with you 100%.

About the Claire-Mac-Stella thing, I have to say that I think the conection Mac has with his late wife is one of the reassons of why Stella loves (you think "love" is such a strong word? Change it by "apreciates")him so much. I mean, it's not like she's going to let him call her Claire or anything, it's just... remember that episode, I think it was The Closer, where Stella asks Mac "why you still have your wedding ring?", and he is "Beacuse I don't want to", and then Stella adds, "Alright". And I think that's where everything rely on, Stella is alright with Claire.

About Stella-Mac-Claire. I personally think that Stella and Claire haven't been like bff, but still quite close. I think Stel was casual with Mac being married to her, but there might be one or another situation where Mac had to suffer from Claire's jealousy. Not like she generally would have suspected him to have an affair with Stella, rather him spending so much time in the office and so subsequently with her, so she felt she sometimes came second.

I think as well that Mac was always fond of Stel and maybe even had a little let say crush on her, but never showed it, not even to Stella. Stella on the other hand will have played out more obvious her affection for him like she does these days... touching him and being sometimes a bit bolder than the rest of the team, e.g. waiting in his office chair without asking him if this is okay.

Also, I think she never actually got his little affection for her til now. I don't think she really believes him being attracted to her (I mean in another way than any man must be attracted to her except when they're blind or dead!). Maybe that's the reason she is so reluctant these days to push things more forwards...

As for today, I think Mac doesn't compare Stella and Claire. I think that he can't judge who comes first and second. I rather see him realizing now that his deepest grief lays behind him, what an amazing woman Stella, not just as a friend. Like someone cool posted... Claire is his past, Stella is his future - not to compare at all. And Stella always accepting Claire as a big part of Mac might support this newest realization.

As for them having hit the sheets in the past... nah! WAY to much unresolved sexual tension still ongoing. Hello?! The eye sex they both have every week tells me they still wish to undress each other and haven't come to that point yet! ;) No, it just seems unlikely, cause they are both strong characters who pull themselves together even in tough situations. I didn't expect both to put a one nighter over their deep friendship. *sigh*

To this day, I wonder waht the lingering impact is over Reed Garrett's mistaking of Stella as Mac's wife has had on them ever since. I mean, I wonder what Stella was like when she learned of Reed.

I could just as well imagine a distant future CSI fic with Dylan Taylor (Fanfiction charachter) as head with his 90 year old father Mac, 80 year old Stella, and four children.

Now for a burning gutter half:

I know he's like "We take of each other" from the outside. Deep inside though, Mac's probably booming out Nine Inch Nails "Closer" in his head with the bass all the way up with the "I Wanna $*#% you like an animal!!" being amplified.

*Flames shoot up from the gutter driving Peyton Manning...DOH!...I meant's Peyton Man....Driscoll away into the night and into the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean*

^You were absolutely right Bona, that's why I'm agree with every single word you've said.

But now, I think it's time to introduce an important topic for this week. It is, "Buzzkill".
Remember the Stella-Drew scene? I was just wondering if there would be any SMacked moment derived from that. I mean, for the past two weeks we just had tiny Stella/Mac's hints, so I think it's being time for a little bit more of tension, isn't it?

Anyway. This all came up to my mind this morning during the most boring class of the week. I don't know how it all started but, all of a sudden I found myself writting on a piece of paper "Buzzkill, buzzkill, Buzzkill..." and then I couldn't help it but annoying my bff by asking her questions like, "do you think she is going to accept his invitation?, "don't you think this Drew is kind of weird? "don't you think...."

So guys, what are you expecting from Buzzkill?

Yeah, it was. Hahaha....

Marti -- I remember the last part of the 1st CSI:NY book, Jane and Mac were having lunch together or something and Jane asked or hinted something similar to that haha! It's always the British women who see it first. LOL.

OMG, that was such a moment. And when he explained why "I just have to do it", Stella teared up right then and there. He was explaining how he was powerless to save his wife. And based on how Stella reacted, she understood the pain. Or maybe she saw the pain he went through.

After he said he didn't want to take it off, she didn't prod anymore. The look Mac gave her after she said "Alright" was sooooo appreciative and warm!

LOL, very much like Elliot-Olivia from Law and Order SVU. Elliot's wife is CONSTANTLY jealous of Olivia because he spends more time with her than at home.

I think jealously ran through both women. Claire, yeah because Mac is a workaholic and work included Stella (as hinted by Peyton as well as my fic lol). And Stella, because Mac had someone in his life to share it with and love... (and it's not her). *awwwww...*

I think as well that Mac was always fond of Stel and maybe even had a little let say crush on her, but never showed it, not even to Stella.
Stella has always been a special person to Mac. Even more so after 9/11. As for a 'crush'. Maybe it is but he's in denial for the longest time haha.

I think the reason why they haven't been "together" together yet is either of them is scared of that it may do to their friendship. What they have is already beyond the best-est and strongest of friendship and everything's fine and dandy. Why "ruin" it with a little tumble in the hay? Of course, we may never know what can come out of it. *cough*"November"*cough*

I agree, she'll always have that special place to him and she'll always be that special person in his life. He knows her, he can trust her, and she knows him.

It's one of the million reasons why I feel for this ship. :)

haha, Cate. I think sometimes they do worry if they'd mess it up if they did something, but I think they could be strong enough to conquer it.

mind if i pop in before i drown myself in my exam stuff? ;)

Bona I completely agree with all of these things! Yeah I think Mac has always had a small crush on her (at least! ;) ) but first he was married and it wasn't real and then when it became more real he was so used to being just her friend and hiding it that he didn't know how to change that. Which makes sense as to why Stella doesn't believe he is attracted to her...he has gotten so good at hiding it that she cannot tell! Claire is the past he will always remember with fond love, and Stella is the future of his life that he will cherish forever!

Mmmmmm, tomorrow should be very interesting for us indeed!
