Mac #6: Unbuttoned...

Well hello kids, been awhile! howzit? *waves to perplexed people disturbed from eyeing MacCandy*
(heya Sens, Nats, MacsL, MB, and any who might recall me from days looooong past)
Good to see the gutterball tradition is alive and splish-splashing well, and all the pics too :lol: You lot have certainly been wracking up your frequent flyer miles. Or long detained going thru various customs extensively. Best to be thorough really.
Nice pics. Always the eyes that seem to come thru. Can never tell what colour they are. Green more often than not, but with hint enough of grey & blue at times to be all the more interesting.
Interesting chat about Mac's character too, with women. I get the impression he is self-aware, not quite so oblvious. Private yes, but more wry than shy when someone's clearly interested in his personal space. That's just my take, but the writers have more hinted and alluded to things of that nature than devoted a lotta airtime to it.
Rumours of another shot at a romance this season sometime? Guess we'll see how they play that evolution, given the arc they've given him since season one (Claire, flirting with Jane Parsons, Encounters Over Oatmeal, Rollerdating er I mean Rollerderby dating, traffic cops who want to uh impound his vehicle, Peyton, Rose, and moments I've surely forgotten to include).

I like how we've been given a peek into his relationships with people who are not from the lab. I would, however, like to see what he does out of it. I'm really curious. I mean we've seen Danny & Flack hanging out together to watch hoops. Wonder what he does to chill? (Gasp! But does he even *know* the word? )

Yeah, Jordan and Quinn too. Quinn was who I was trying to think of. I hope we do get to see a bit more of his relationships outside the labs too. I quite liked the snippets of the Diner, him having a soda with Reed, out at the opera, Sid extending an invitation for Thanksgiving, even out at the WTC site in S1. We've seen him out jogging, but that's about the only indication of anything that could be considered a hobby.
He apparently never sleeps, but he must leave the lab sometimes. It would be fun to see him hang out and chill. Stella's dragged him out to Sullivans's, and also invited him out to a drink "at the old stomping grounds" to use his very own words, when she first thought Reed was following her, so there's indication he really does know the meaning of the concept.
Or maybe he just needs friendly welcoming feminine company to really relax. Who's to say. I say Hmmmm.

Sit next to Mac on a plane? I think I'll pass. The responsibility! J/K, of course! Yeah, I'd want to sit next to him, too. He was so *calm* when the plane hit pockets of air. The kind of guy I'd probably hug reeeeeal tight in that kind of situation. Hell, I'd hit him for any reason :lol:

hmmmm..this got me thinking,i really really hope the writers are gonna put in another club scene where mac would play again,the first one was really cool,i loved stells expression when will dailey sang the song with the lines " i will be there when u rise.."
having mac as a seatmate on the plane would be daunting i guess,he doesnt look like a person who would encourage conversation!LOL.but that doesnt mean im not gonna try!:devil:but if i had to chose between a shower scene and a club scene,i would go for the shower scene,hands down(tptb,you owe us one!!) what say you girls?

Re: seeing Mac out and about more, I really like that they've shown him a couple times now playing bass at the bar. I think they could do that about once a month or every couple of months, if only for continuity's sake (of course I have my own prurient interests in mind, too!) After all, that's Mac's hobby, and a way of his letting his hair down (err, so to speak :lol: ) and relaxing outside the job. I think they could make a running thing of it, even just a teensy 10-second ending clip once in awhile, and that would make for some nice character development and continuity (of course, this is coming from a major Mac!Ho, so I might be ever so slightly biased...)
It would be nice to see him "hanging out" before or after work once in awhile with friends, too. I can see him being good buddies in particular with Hawkes, and even Sid. Both men are more or less on Mac's same level work-wise, so it wouldn't be odd for them to have friendships outside the lab. I wouldn't mind seeing Mac/Hawkes just emerging all overheated and sweaty from the racquetball court, or perhaps from a hardcore kickboxing session then they get the call that they're needed at the lab. Yeah, I can definitely handle that. C'mon writers, throw us a bone! :shifty:

I agree that Mac certainly seems to attract the ladies, there have been a lot, considering he's not the type of guy who chases women (the women chase him instead).
I do love how his eyes can be different colours. They're usually green, but like Elwood said, there's enough blue and gray in there to make it interesting. Very hot, IMO.
I would love to see Mac outside the lab. I'd like to see him interacting outside the lab with some of the others in the team, not Stella (we already know they meet up/go out outside the lab). I love your idea, MB, of him hanging out with Hawkes or Sid. Like you say, the 3 are on a similar level work wise, and Hawkes and Mac are similar in that they both seem to work more than socialize, and we've not seen much of what Hawkes and Sid get up to outside the lab, just like with Mac. It would be totally hot to see Mac and Hawkes leaving the gym to go to a crime scenedrool::drool::drool or see Mac drop by Sid's place at Thanksgiving. It would be very nice to see that Mac has friends outside of the lab, see him meeting an old Marine buddy for a drink (*coughGibbscough*) - he did talk to a guy he knew from the Marines re a case in the second Second Life episode. I want more scenes with him and Reed too. I would love to see his apartment , we've seen Danny's and Stella's, so we should see Mac's too.
I also hope that if Mac gets a new love interest, she will be strong and able to give him a run for his money. Mac goes for strong, professional women who also have compassion, he needs a decent love interest who won't take any crap off him, but equally who won't dump him via letter when she decides to stay in England after she begged him to go on holiday there.
But it would be nice to see the development of platonic relationships and friendships. While a woman in Mac's life does offer the opportunity for some deveopment, and some shirtlessness and maybe a shower/bed scene, there are other ways to develop a character, like through showing their friendships/relationships outside the lab.
I'd love to see more bass playing scenes too, and I really want to learn about Mac's childhood and family. He almost never refers to them, and it seems the only family he has now is Reed and his team, which makes his past very intriguing, especially when you consider what he said in 'Tanglewood' about knowing what it's like to 'need to belong'. I'd also like to learn more about his marriage to Claire, she is such an important part of his life and who he is.

T'ankies. Abs rocks. A personal dream to see her and Adam hit a concert or a club for drink or a few gallons of Caf-Pow and a cupcake in the green room.
He loves Pez, she has Burt the Hippo. I'm sure they'd get along beautiferously.Yeah, Mac playing bass in a bar band is always fun to see, and on paper you'd never have guessed it woulda fit. But it does. The character has come a long way since S1. They could easily revisit the musical side of him from time to time. All the same, I'd also be happy with a few minutes devoted to him shopping before shift for a few black tees or something. Gotta make sure they fit and all. Very complex garments.
I thought it was interesting when they took the show to Chicago briefly last season. For sure they could dig a little deeper into his younger days there, and onto enlisting in the corps and all that, how he got some of those many commendations they display so prominently in his office. Still waters run deep but a little skinnydipping never hurt. Much.
There was also reference to his father passing away from a rather heinous form of cancer at one point wasn't there. Was talking to Hawkes I believe. I actually also really like that he's had moments of confiding in Stella, Flack, moments of more personal conversation with Sheldon and Sid. Would love to see a few more minutes devoted to that sort of thing, stuff that shows they're a tight knit bunch outside the labs too. Like that photo Mac had of him and Aiden on his desk too. Stuff we don't get to see much of. More, do please give us a wee bit mo'.

I have noticed that since the new season's started there has been many old faces coming out of the woodwork!
It's pretty sweet to get the Mac Fan-base back on track...the guy is one hunk o' spunk lol
his "almost shower scene" was pretty bloody amazing, Although I was dissapointed that we didn't actually get to see him naked at least we got a bit of MacBelly!
