I wonder why they did that, I mean, like Eric said in the commentary, it was the first season that he started as a full fledged CSI, you'd think he'd be on the cover, he is part of the team, he's on the back cover though, and on one of the dvd's inside, but still, he should have been on the cover.

I've noticed that, without Greg on the cover, Grissom and Cath's pics are wider. I've compared the pic here to the pic in my head from the DVD box set from Wal-Mart where they're selling S6 already and have noticed that. It makes me mad to know that.
I think that I will type an email tomorrow. I have a way of getting the point across. I mean, Brass was on the cover of the box set of S1 and then we never saw him on another box cover again. He's on a DVD, yeah, but that's it. Greg's been a CSI for almost a year, two years now and they still haven't thought of him enough to put him on a box cover. Louise Lombard has been with the show for two years (since S5) and she just now got in the opening credits. Robert David Hall got in at the same time as Eric and yet, no box cover for him. And he helps them figure out whatdunnit. Sometimes he brings the big break in the case! Wallace Langham has been with CSI: long than Louise Lombard and yet, no opening credits for him. (Although he is the special guest star mentioned at the beginning. He's getting there.) My friend on the phone (whom is still on the phone, we're not talking because I'm typing this over again) said that it is total b.s. that Greg gets a DVD pic but not a box cover pic. And she said the same about Brass. Complaints ahoy. This isn't right. This is just a bunch of b.s. and the people who are making the box covers are saying, "Oh, they aren't CSIs, so they can't have a picture!" Well, OPEN UP YOUR DAGGUM EYES, STUPIDHEADS, BECAUSE GREG'S A CSI!!
Hehe, I got all of this done and maybe I can copy it in case it says "we can not proceed" again.
And I apologize for my slight off-topic-ness about Brass and Robert David Hall and Louise Lombard and Wallace Langham and my all-caps near the end. I was just expressing some pent-up anger and I accidentally hit the caps lock button when I coughed. (Yeah. Mistakes happen. But it looks good that way. I may even copy & paste this post into my body of the email to the Alliance peeps...)

Wojo, I replied to your post. I don't understand it, either. It's sooo stupid. It's absolutly rediculous. I already sent an email about it, before the DVD was released.

Yeah that just pissed me off completely. I mean, I know we're mad but just imagine how Eric feels. It might not be a big deal to him or anything, but I know that if that happened to me, I'd be thouroughly pissed. It's possible that there are some things we don't know about. Maybe some wierd agreements that make it good for Eric, but if there isn't then that's just horrible.
Either way I would have liked to have seen him on the cover, and like you said, if they had not originally had him on there, it wouldn't have been as bad. But that just seems wrong.

Thank you for letting us know about this very serious omission, Wojo. I intend to send an e-mail too. It just doesn't make any sense to omit Greg from the DVD cover. He's been on the show from day one so I agree that it is insulting to Eric Szmanda to leave his beautiful face off of the DVD cover.

The pic on the dvd is the one from a few seasons ago, the one when he has the darker grey shirt he's sitting on the floor. I just remember that look on his face, so I recognized it. They packaged it differently too, usually each dvd got it's own sleeve, this time, there was one on both sides of the sleeve (Greg's is on the other side of Nick's) and the intro music for the menu is different as well. But that doesn't explain the editing of the pic..It looks like they took him off and spread out the others more..I mean, why would they do that?? He is a member of the team, unless it does mean something, but that's me reading too much into it, really, I understand they want to put the originals on there, but Greg (Eric) has been on since the first episode too. He is in the group shot in the back, but still, I was a little disappointed when I got them when they came out a few weeks ago.

I told my mom what they did and she said, "Well, maybe they're about to take him off." I got a bit P.O'd at her for this, maybe that's why I'm like I am right now. :lol: But I told her, "Mama, if they were going to take Greggo off, then why is he in the seventh season credits?" I swear she's such a ditz sometimes!!
I think what we all need to do is write to the PRODUCERS and ask them, because they send out the orders for who to be on the covers. Maybe they'll have some answers to our questions. speakerset, I also noticed how much wider the faces were, i.e. Grissom and Catherine's. I wrote a story post before last. (That is, the post before my last one.) I don't like how distorted Gris and Cath's faces are. They look weird. But otherwise I explained all of my thoughts in my extremely long post.

I have the box set, and it looks so photoshopped, I mean, Greg is a CSI, the first full season he's been a full fledged one from the first episode on..he should be on the cover even if he's at the end of the line after Sara, I mean, I would totally understand that, but to leave him off..it just sort of makes you scratch your head.

At least they were actually considerate enough to put him on the game cover boxes (board and computer- cept for the first computer game). I was surpised at that. I thought for sure he would be on this season's box set.
