    Here's a great book about Las Vegas-called
    'WE ALL LIVE IN VEGAS"
Whe internationally renowned French photojournalkist Francois Paolini saw Las Vegas for the first time in 1999 on his way east from Los Angeles, he didn't quite know what to make of it. Paolini drove up the Strip, snapped a couple of pictures of casinos, and then continued on his trip. One thing was certain in his mind though. He had to come back. As an artist, as a journalist, he had to come back to Las Vegas. Paolini DID come back and spent several years photographing Vegas in it's many moods and nuances. The results "WE ALL LIVE IN VEGAS" no only shows Las Vegas as a city of bright lights and spectacular architecture, it also shows Paolini's notion that Las Vegas exists as both an idea and model for the future. There's 320 unique photos-beautuful documents of the Centennial of 2005-a unique perspective on the outrageously modern, materalistic and magical place called Sin City-Essays both in French and English- a must for your coffee table

My parents recently visited Vegas while I had to stay at home and sit through a grueling week with my aunt. Well, I guess not all bad came out of it. I played so much Yahtzee with her I'm pretty sure I'm a pro. Picture time!

I can see how you would only go when family or guests come. I visited Las Vegas when I was little, but I don't remember much so I really wanted to go this time. Unfortunatly, I'm not the queen of the world so I couldn't get my way. BUT, what I do remember is that it was one of the most amazing cities I had ever been to. I also remember visiting the Grand Canyon. Even though it was in Arizona, it still showed that there's a quiet side to the Nevada aswell.

I'd like to visit Las Vegas another time before I die, it's amazing!

    "YOUNG LAS VEGAS"

Long before there was a glittering Strip-before Hoover Dam was built to tame the Colorado River, Las Vegas was a hot-dusty-remote railroad town, populated by some of the heartiest souls in the American West.Residents made their own swamp coolers and their own entertainment and sometimes their own whiskey. Las Vegas Review Journal writer Joan Whitely talked to numerous old-time Las Vegans to capture their momories for "YOUNG LAS VEGAS" a coffee table book-featuring more than 600 photos

U2-topped the BILLBOARD as the years top-grossing concert. which filled the MGM Grand Gardan Arena in November. A total of 3 million fans populated 90 U2 concerts all of which were sellouts in 2005. The Grand Garden also hosted the year's #6 touring act Paul McCartney. and the Rolling Stones, who also appeared athe the MGM Grand in November are still on tour and so far aren't on the list -yet
