"I.. I.." Danny couldn't get his words out for some reason. "I didn't say yes.. I said we'd talk about it later," he finally replied.

"I'm not worried.. I was just.. wondering," Flack lied. He hadn't been in many competitions so he was a little edgy. He watched the first couple for a moment, running over in his mind his own moves.

Jess turned to him, knowing that he was lying. "You're gonna do fine, it's just a small little thing that they do every other day. The prize is a picture of the winners put in a frame, it's no big deal." she told him

"Yeah.. but now I'm actually bein' graded, which is gettin' to me," Flack replied, looking to the floor at his feet before up to her. "Sounds funny, coming from me don't it?"

"I'm just wondering.. did you actually mean it? Or.." Danny trailed off, seeing the hospital come into view.

Jess was totally oblivious to the second pair of dancers now on the floor as she turned to Flack. "Yeah, it does sound kind of funny coming from you." she said with a chuckle. "Face it baby, I have rank over you."

Lindsay thought back. "I mostly did..I guess thats a surprise. It's just what happened.." she trailed off.

"I know.." Flack groaned a bit. "Well, if I screw up, blame it on my nerves, ah?" he then said, smiling weakly.

Danny was a bit shocked. "Really?.. Wow.."

Jess smiled and nodded. "You're not going to screw up Flack, just follow my lead and you'll do fine." she was startled a bit as their names were called. "Alright, we're up, let's go." she said as she dragged him out by his hand.

Flack's hand hand tensed a bit under hers, following her out. He took a deep breath before he took his position. Thusfar, his nerves were relaxing, letting his mind slip away. He pictured just the two having fun at any dance, and this not being a competition. It may not have been that serious, but he was still jittery.

"N-Nothing.." Danny replied before parking the car in the hospital parking lot.

Jess smiled as the song started. She did her moves perfectly, leading Flack so that he could follow. So far, they were doing really good. After about a minute, it came time for their little move. "Alright Flack, are you ready? NOW!" she said as she twirled to him and hoped that he remembered to pick her up.

Flack had followed her lead perfectly, letting himself loosen up a bit. When she gave the order, Flack followed through with what she had said, pulling it off quite well for a first time. When he set her back down, he was fighting a huge grin.

Jess did her split while she was up in the air. And heard some people relax their breaths when she came back down. "Great job honey." she said as she finished off her last few moves with energy and accuracy.

"I can't find the words to express it" he replied. "That's how beautfil you are" he answered. The closeness was making his heart pound.
