Re: It's Called Cancer
Flack laughed and moved away with her push. He grabbed his coat, keys and wallet before slipping on his shoes. "Okay, be back in a few," he said, giving her one last kiss before slipping out and going to his car. Flack went over in his mind of where he had to go as he pulled into the street, deciding to go to a local jeweler's store first.
When Flack found the store he wanted, he spent a good half an hour, or forty-five minutes looking around for a ring. When he found the one he wanted, he pointed to it and asked to buy it.
"You must really love the woman, don't you?" the jeweler asked.
Flack just grinned ear-to-ear and nodded, giving up his debit card and paying for the ring. When he left the store, he slipped the small, dark blue, velvet box into his pocket. He soon headed out to his friends place to pick up that tenor. Flack was running off a business card, trying to find Arbutus Music, that taking about twenty minutes to actually find the place. When Flack wandered inside the music store, he took a look around at the different instruments on display and amps, tempted to go look at a few guitars, but he pushed that aside.
"Zack! Where's the sax you promised me?" Flack called with a laugh, seeing a man with light, sandy hair coming from the back with a large case in hand.
"Right here. Need you to sign here and here and then fork over two C notes," Zack replied with a grin. In all honesty, it was a damn good deal.
Flack was almost glad he'd saved up some money for a little while, today finding it come in use. Flack signed the papers, paid for the sax along with a box of reeds and cork grease. It was just soon after that he was on his way home again. All in all, it was only a couple hours. About two and a half to go out and get back in total.
