I Have An "LV" Episode/Character Question *NO Spoilers* P2

That's what I was thinking. Sara was helping Catherine on swing shift, and so it would be afternoon when she starts.

Except that Catherine only knows she's getting Sara AFTER Grissom says "I have a shift to start" so it isn't as if Sara's called in early.

This is one of those episodes that really makes you go "Wow, the writers really did just throw stuff together sometimes" because there's just about no way to rationalise it. Trust me. I've tried!

Well, considering they work grave and about 98% of the time it's day out :shifty:, should tell you something. :)

About the fact that 98% of the time it's day.....I've been thinking about it for a long time but the CSI's are many times out there at daytime because someone gets killed in daytime so they go to investigate.Being at night shift may meens that the CSI's have their office work at nights.:)

But the lab has a day shift and a swing shift, so if a murder happened during the day, the day shift would handle it, not the graveyard shift. The only time I could see them working in the day is if they were called to a crime scene before their shift ended and they have to stay to process it.

I knew I shouldn't have brought this question up...it deals with the infamous question, "When do shifts start?"

I really wish CSI writers could just give the fans a bone and just tell us once and for all when shifts start. But no, if they did that then they would have to follow that for the rest of the seasons and everyone knows how much CSI writers hate continuity.

Thanks for trying to help me figure it out everyone. I'm still a little confuzzled about it but I have a feeling I'll always be.:(

Or they're on call and get called in because those other shifts are already swamped - which, I THINK is what happens in Early Rollout and is sort of what happens in Iced.

From what I've gathered on the show, here's how I think the shifts go. Based on a typice 8-hour shift: Day is 8 am-4 pm, swing is 4 pm-midnight, and grave is midnight-8 am.

Yup, there's that too ;)

Except....in Grave Danger Nick was "taken around 11" per Warrick, and so they must have started the shift around 10 or 10:30. Which would make sense if they were close to the end of their shift since they were on Swing at the time, but they seemed to just be starting their shift.

But really....I think with every episode and every writer it's going to be different. We know how bad they are with continuity.

I was watching Lover's Lanes again and in the last scene Greg shows up after looking for his high school bowling ball/bag. Does anyone know the name of the high school that Greg attended? I think it was printed on the bowling ball bag(Alliteration much, AFIS?) but I'm not really sure.

A picture for you

:)

Wow, I got Smokey to fire up her DVR and a picture. Today was a good day.

But, on a different note, thanks for the answer and picture. I didn't think anyone would know what I was talking about.

Another quick question. Does anyone know Catherine's stripper name or even if it was revealed at all? I thought that it was Weeping Willows but that's the name of an episode so that can't be right. Thanks in advance if you know. :)

I don't think that it has ever been mentioned.

This isn't really a episode/character question but still deals with the show so...I figured, "Why not put it in this thread?" so here goes nothing.:)

I've been noticing that Billy has been producer/executive producer on the show since season one but does that mean Billy's still part of the show? Or is that just a title that he got for being one of the show's frontrunners?

From the news on our files sometime back his title is only an hononary title, & a monetary one, but according to his site, he still does have input on what goes on and keeps his feelers out, and he's in touch with every aspect of the show and how it's running~But gossip still prevails that he might possibly do a guest spot in S/11~
