It was quite ironic after the way the two related in previous episodes. That was probably what the writers were going for ~*~ Oh, I was told that Eric was mesisng with something and it flung back hit Ryan in the eye and he was totally p-sed at Eric for a while but w/e lol.

He was looking for divine inspiration/forgiveness maybe? Which would be very hypocritical considering he was about to embark on a revenge mission. Personally, I found it all rather pointless and over the top. We could have had a shot of the Christ The Redeemer statue without H in it at all, just to show off the stunning backdrop. I would have been happier with that, but oh well, this is Miami afterall.
