Well, Rahkira finally someone who feels as strongly about H's jerkiness as I do! Nice to meet you! I quit liking H a long time ago, and hold tgtb responsible for his decline. I suspect they're indulging a star who wants to have control over what happens to his character. ( I also suspect that star is working out his own private issues through this character.) The combination (for me) leads to an unsavory and unsatisfying character. Y deserves much better (and so, by the way, does Sofia), and her continual support of H makes me wonder whether she is really a needy person herself. I agree that we need lots of information about what's going on with Y in this interum period. I hate that it's all about him, so that her character literally doesn't exhist outside her relationship with him.

(I hope ya'll didn't think you were rid of the cynical rantings of the drgnldy for good!)

RE new ME, best csi news I heard in a while. But now I need some Yelina news aswell, yes Im greedy..

Tomorrow I leave for home .. bye bye Miami :(

Hope you had a good time in Miami Tati!

I've got spoilers about the season premiere from CSIFiles.

H is shot for real. Although it seems he's back in action quickly so he can't be hurt that bad, despite that huge blood pool in 'Going Ballistic'. No mention of Yelina. Doesn't look like she'll be in the season premiere. :scream: How can he be shot for real and Y not know about it or at least show some concern??! Of course, H doesn't die but still..... this sucks big time.

I'm really pissed.... On a side note, I'm not that disappointed as I thought I would be, guess I've moved on to another ship that doesn't disappoint. The rest of the season premiere sounds real exciting though especially if you're an E/C fan think there might be something there.

Anyway the link to the whole article is here:
'Resurrection' spoilers

^Well that's just great...it seems they've managed to do the impossible again:rolleyes:....another opportunity goes flying out the window, but I agree with you, I'm not as disappointed. I guess I tried not to get my hopes up too much, so I wouldn't be that disappointed.....guess we'll just have to wait a little longer to see some H/Y, but as long as we get to see them together, I can wait.

As you indicated, we're so used to the sad lack of imagination on the writers' part, we don't expect much of the ship. I guess they're just waiting us out...
Watched Rio again (twice, because regular and HD channels have the same epis three hours apart). I'd forgotten H's classic line to a sad-loking Y, when she felt she hadn't been able to keep Ray out of trouble: "It's not your fault." You bet. H should have continued, "It's mine because I sent you here." What a missed opportunity: more great H angst and guilt. Yeah, H, let me see, you wanted to get Ray away from those nasty Latin American drug cartels with which he was undercover and that had helped him become an addict, so where do you choose to send the family to escape? Uh, Latin America! Maybe H is a little short on geography skills and thinks that because they speak Portuguese, Brazil doesn't count as Latin America.

 That had me laughing out loud.

Sofia did mention she'll be in more episodes of Miami, I wonder when that ever will be..... I mean the season premiere seems like the perfect opportunity, and she's been in the last two.... Maybe there's too much going on in the season premiere to have her in. But in a sense that's good, I don't want another like one minute of her on-screen like in 'Ambush'. I'd rather not have her on the epy if there's no good material for her.

I'm glad you enjoyed the comment, Hrockz. After I posted, I was worried people would think I don't like H. It's just that I'm disappointed and frustrated that DC has allowed the writers to make his character become a joke. I saw a photo sequence on MSN's website and they named DC's Horatio (and Vincent D'Onofrio's Goren) something like the most comical to watch (I don't remember, exactly, the title). DC has a lot of power as the star and I just can't believe he buys into all that H has become. Those of us who contribute to this thread know that spending more time with Y could fix all (well, most) of H's problems...

It's ok to voice your opinions on this forum, nobody will fault you for that. It might generate some fierce discussion that's all. No harm done.

H isn't a joke. S6 has just begun airing where I am and some people who haven't watched it on youtube like I did ;) or download it like I did still find H very cool with his one-liners and whipping out his gun etc. Mainly guys actually  But I find him still cool too (and I'm a female, as opposed to my male friends who watch Miami soley for it's action/entertainment value), and quite hot still.

Yes we all know but unfortunately tptb don't.....

I do like H, but I also find his signature moves to be somewhat funny because they’re so predictable. As soon as someone makes a particular type of comment, you know, a split second before he does it, exactly what physical reaction H is going to have, like the hands on hips, or the glare, or, afterwards, the sunglass removal and the stare into space. Sometimes I can’t help but laugh at the most inappropriate times because it is so predictable. Just once I’d like to see him do some Goren-esque thing, like sit next to the suspect, act all empathetic, telling some sad (but false) personal experience just to get a confession, or even jump on the table, just to surprise us. Okay, the last would be too over-the-top for H, but could you imagine Y’s reaction, and everyone else, for that matter
Change of subject, but I was wondering, when CSI Magazine includes someone (like SM’s question and answer thing in the latest issue), is that a pretty good indicator that the actor is still considered part of the franchise, or does it have no relationship to the coming season?

^I think the magazine is a good indicator they still consider her part of the Miami show and she;ll be back. Yay! I was happy when I read that she was interviewed in the mag.

Anyone has the contents of the interview with her?

God, I love you, Rahkira! ;) You think like I do about all the foolishness going on with H. You will definitely not offend anyone here --- if I haven't done it yet, it's not possible. ;) And I just have to feel sorry for poor Hrockz ;) 'cause she always defends him. Hrockz, I think you have a serious case of the hots for H! (You know I love you, right?)

Hey drgnldy, I may be disappointed in H and his lack of taste in women, but that’s nothing compared to how UNenamored I have become of WP/Grissom on Las Vegas. I have to wonder if DC and WP, who both have a lot of say on their respective shows, are each using their characters to justify their real-life situations: each is married to/involved with a MUCH younger woman. Male actors seem to be so much more insecure in their personal lives than their female counterparts. I expected the ego of DC after his much-publicized departure from NYPD Blue, but didn’t have enough info on WP to have any expectations. The characters of H and Y are closer in age and, PC as it sounds, more age appropriate for one another. I’m so liberal, I never thought I would think that way, but all I could ever say about H/M or GSR was “What? Yuck!!!”
(Have I crossed a line here. Will I be getting a nastygram from Lucy? I couldn’t quite tell from reading the rules.)
See you’re from Texas, drgnldy. Spent a bit of time in San Antonio, but loved the two weeks I spent in Austin. I have friends from Charleston, South Carolina who say their state has two parts, Charleston and the rest of the state. I think Texas also has two parts, Austin and the rest of the state. Attitudes are so unique in those two SC and TX cities.

So I won't be completely OT, I will tell you that I never saw the M debacle - absolutely had no stomach for it. And judging from the shared opinion of most people in this thread, it was a disaster. The only other woman I have ever thought H had any chemistry with (besides Y) was Rebecca, and how could I like her when he really BELONGS WITH YELINA! But I have truly given up. I admire those who can hold out hope in the face of the obvious disinterest of tgtb, not to mention DC.

I am IN San Antonio actually, and I agree with you about Austin. It's definitely the most progressive city in the state, except for its TRAFFIC!

 yeah I got the hots for H but not as much as for another David (Boreanaz) from Bones. *points to banner*

I mean H's still cool to me but not as hot as the other, younger David IMO. Ok sorry OT.

And as you can tell I've jumped ships. See what tptb had done to me. If there was some hope that Y would be in the season premiere, I'd still be hanging on, but now I'm more looking forward to the season premiere of Bones than CSI:Miami. Although I'd still like H as he way he was written or evolved to be, and I'm still itching to find out who shot him. Not sure if I'm making sense here.

H/Y will always have a special place for me, and I maintain I think tptb will get H/Y together someday but it's a little too late for me. My new ship is a whole lot more satifying for me now.

I noticed on here somebody mentioned that article on Sofia in the new magazine...I read it yesterday and it's a nice article. Unfortunately, she doesn't mention anything about H/Y, but she did talk about how 'Miami' and 'Borders' differ as far as filming. She talked about how David liked to film early, knows what he wants and she seemed to like that. The way she talked, that made it pretty easy for her cause she knows exactly what should happen in the scenes with her character and she got done around 11 a.m. She's also in the magazine a few other times too, including a section where they're talking about different important episodes and they mention the first time we see Yelina and how there's hints that something more than just a brother in law, sister in law relationship is going on between H & Y.
