I said that too a while back. But you already see it in the current episodes that sometimes for instance you don't see Ryan a lot but the next couple of weeks it's all about Ryan & less about the others etc.. Imo Frank shouldn't have been made a regular character, yes I love him BUT he could've stayed a recurring character.. Regular = they will be developed more. I haven't seen any development on his side to be honest.. but hey maybe they just needed another detective than Y to be around all the time. I liked it better when there were different detectives sometimes like in S1. Like Adele & that black guy etc.. Now it's like the only detective that ever works with CSI is Frank..

I want Yelina back as a regular BUT I don't want it all to be about H/Y. She needs to be developed or have her do more interesting stuff as a detective.. SM is a great actress and she deserves more than just being DC's love interest on the show. That's why I absolutely LOVE the idea of her new career .. it's different and it's developement. Let's just hope it isn't all part of "H needs to protect her" story.. I want to see the strong independent Yelina again.. Did you notice that Yelina near the end of Burned? She didn't just gave in to H' wishes.. Ooooh and she understands why he's so worried <3

They start shooting end July right? I can't wait for spoilers

You have been doing your homework drgnldy! It's great to be reminded of what we referred to in previous threads. It will be very interesting to see how the writers plan to involve Yelina next season. I also rather like the idea of her being a PI as it is independent and may lead to various niggly scenes with H. As we know, he's not comfortable with it due to being concerned for her safety. I just hope any potential interesting plot developments regarding this angle are dealt with effectively, rather than swept aside. Making her a PI was a good idea in terms of how this could play out. Here's to hoping.

hum speaking for too many characters on Miami this days, i don`t think it will be too difficult for some more screen time for Yelina. (or at last i wish so ) for me in S 1-3 H/Y relationship was developed through 2-3 epis without been to much on focus, but still interesting and curious. in S4 we have too much H drama almost every epi and most of the fans just become sick and tired of this. but somehow for me H/Y story line never was this way. for me if only TPTB want Yelina character (not regular in S1, but still do great job in this tv show) they again can find the right formula to theirs success. i agree that in S6 we need continuation and progress with this two guys and if this monsters want to make again interesting CSI Miami now is the right time H need to be happy - wow we never see this - why not S6 to be in this direction...

SM is a great actress and she deserves more than just being DC's love interest on the show.

I feel this way, too. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see more wriggly H and sweet looks and maybe more. But if TPTB are done with that, I don't want them to be done with Y as well. I love her character, and think she enhances the show, with or without H.

Pusher, I just love it every time you say 'monster!' That is really a good way of describing what we have here. Altho', its not a very smart monster - sometimes seems to bite itself in its own butt.

You know we are all pretty delusional about this. After all this time, (and I've been reading the last five years worth of posts very quickly!) we still speak in terms of story and/or character development, and whether certain senarios would 'make sense'. Haven't we learned by now that these things aren't priorities for TPTB? They don't seem to have much real interest in good story telling. And yet we keep on begging for that bone. We're like Y hoping for H to one day really be telling the truth!

^ hehe TPTB from 2 years are my monsters in the closet. coz of them when i start to like some new/other tv-show i expect every moment someone to screws up the fun. yep, they really make me become mistrustful long time ago for TPTB we here use and this nickname - Those who must be ashamed ( re The Village movie - Those We Don't Speak Of)

we still speak in terms of story and/or character development, and whether certain senarios would 'make sense'. Haven't we learned by now that these things aren't priorities for TPTB? They don't seem to have much real interest in good story telling. And yet we keep on begging for that bone.

what else can we do ?! till now we prove that H/Y shippers are resistance loyal fans. we always hope for the best, till expect the worse. this is ours nature - to not give up. (try to convince my slef ). for me when i like/support something till the end i`ll try and wait for happy ending. as silly to sound every time when i watch Nickelback song 'If Everyone Cared' in the end one quote always me me think for this thread and the peoples in it:

maybe coz i`m in a good mood today .... well, some times the trick is to think positive - u never know what life can bring in - yep we are hittee by the TPTB (not only once) but we do hit the jackpot re meet a lot interesting and great persons in this forum

Tati you like spoke my mind. I totally agree with you. We need more character development for Y. And I'm not too worried about too many people in the cast, LV has more I think. Actually even if SM is not a regular, she can still have great scenes and character development, as long as she's around often enough. Hopefully more than the woeful two episodes in s5.

Yup us H/Y fans are a tough bunch to get down and we'll keep the flag flying high all the time.

For some reason thread #6 flew by for me and seems to be coming to it's end real fast. I guess mainly cos of 'Burned'. It's a good thing. But soon we all gota start thinking of a new thread name for #7. We are almost at post #900. But we've got some ways to go before reaching 1000.

Yes, sadly, most of us certainly have learnt this by now. We are just resilient, cautiously optimisitic and maybe a little blinded by loyalty! *sigh* We live in hope that TPTB will get their act together. Whether we feel this will actually materialize is a different matter entirely!

Exactly! Many of us have almost given up on the show completely, but we're still hanging in there. We hope that there is some light at the end of the H/Y tunnel and that tptb will ultimately do their storyarc justice.

Very perceptive of you MD. That's the kind of inspirational writing Miami is crying out for, but alas, we can dream right? One advantage of having no great expectations of what might happen is that the potential disappointments become less significant. So, if things do go well next season, we will be pleasantly surprised.

Yup I agree to having no expectations. Or maybe very low expectations. The only thing we should expect is that SM will return as Y next season. I think it's the very least tptb can do.

There is this article in CSI Files from the Daily Telegraph about how DC says connecting with his viewers is importnat to him. My question then is how did that Marisol fiasco come about? *smacks hand on forehead*.

Well if he really wants to connect with us he should realise how we fans really feel about H and H/Y.

After I read this article re Daily Telegraph I start to ask myself did we the fans blinded by loyalty need meds or the one who is blind by glory need them more?! Thanks God this time DC forgot to mention Aerosol name. Well if I take 200 000 $ per epi, me too will say that I search for connection with CSI Miami viewers. But most probably is all this negative energy/thoughts re S 4-5 to reach DC and fix him, then he to understand us.

Anyway, maybe the good news is that ours approach to be cautiously optimisitic work and give us satisfaction after epis like 'Rio' and 'Burned'. After all the second Yelina epi in S5 was very nice surprise for me, surprise that TPTB still leave some light in the H/Y tunnel - even to be from burn out candle.

My personal note to DC is one Captain Jack Sparrow quote: 'Do us a favor... I know it's difficult for you... but please, stay here, and try not to do anything... stupid.'

Me commenting on tptb and S6 wouldn’t really be right, me being total newbie. I mean, I’ve skipped a few years and jumped in just now. There’s still so much I need to catch up on.

Five years is a long time, you all are tired of waiting and hoping for tptb come to finally come to its senses, and yet you still believe, you still stand strong and loyal. That is amazing, I’m honored meeting people like you. You have my biggest respect.


Very fitting Pusher :lol: I think, it would apply to Ann Donahue too. As I understand S4/S5 was mutual crime of those two.
