Horatio VS Grissom

Well, I just saw "The Accused is Entitled".

If it was in Miami, Horatio would kick that bitch's ass back to hell.
And that cocky old guy as well.

er....i thnk grissom does care for his victims like that baby being killed by accident he nearly cried and in homebodies when he was in the cupboard of the old lady-mummy he choked..and looked upset... :D SO THERE!- :eek:
 
Let's focus on who Grissom is, not who he was. The writers
screwed him up. He was fine in the first season, maybe a
little bit in the second, but now he just pisses me off.
 
:eek: *GASP* ...he pisses you off?? HELLLLOOOOO..dont horatio pisses you off with his constant glasses taking off/on..and his poxy hip thing...he does it all the time even when hes talking to the victims..AND he is WAY too emotional!!! yes.. :rolleyes:. so i think ...
that grissom wins hand downs...we love his quirky lines...

not horatio. he pisses me off all the time..hes too much of a superman he hasnt made a mistake yet!...and his ginger ...not going to say another word.. :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Grissom is such a wuss. Horatio could beat Grissom up, and
Grissom would like, run away. lol Horatio would catch a
bullet for soemone. Grissom would use you as a sheild. lol

I don't base my opinion of H on the color of his hair... That being said, Grissom was great the 1st season but afterwards the writers turned him into a computer who's only purpose was to seemingly make smarmy comments and upstage everyone he's around.

H on the other hand - and I completely understand the whole hands-on-hips, sunglasses hate - seems to actually care (and yes sometimes too much) for the victims and their families. He has a sense of humor and stands up for his friends. He only wants Yelina's happiness and to help Suzie raise Madison. All in all, he's a nice guy.

Hopefully the Vegas writers will make Gris more "human" this coming season. And hopefully he'll make up for his idiot comments to Sara in Playing with Fire and admit he cares for her TO HER FACE.

He was caring for Sara in play with fire after the explosion, this is what happens:
GRISSOM: (quietly) Are you okay?

(It takes her a moment, but SARA turns and looks at GRISSOM. She has a gash on
her forehead and another across her cheek. She's also holding her left hand
gingerly in her lap.)

SARA: (dazed) Uh-huh.

(GRISSOM looks down at her hand. He picks her hand up and sees the large
bloodied gash on her palm.)

GRISSOM: Honey, this doesn't look good.

SARA: (shakes her head) It's fine.

(SARA looks at GRISSOM.)

SARA: Cleanup's going to be something. We should get started.

(GRISSOM looks down at her hand.)

GRISSOM: You need to get stitches.

(SARA shakes her head again.)

SARA: I'm okay.

(She moves to stand up.)

GRISSOM: (shouts) Would you take care of her hand, please?

And what about when this happens:
DIRECTOR ROBERT COVALLO: Okay. It's not your job to protect your people. It's
to protect the integrity of this lab.

GRISSOM: Without the people, there is no lab.

Why would he say this if he didn't care?

Horatio shows it more. He would clean up the blood himself, and stitch her up (same way he helped out Cal when she had leeches sucking on her leg), and he could kick his directors ass for saying anything remotely negative about his team.

Yes he got her stitched up, but other than that he didn't even bother to help her out anymore. He rejected her flatout at the end of the episode and showed that he was really rather callous (at least to me) of her feelings.

And with the Director, H would have got into a yelling match with him and taken the blame for the accident. Just see this season's Miami finale for proof.

So what does it matter if H does all that stuff, That doesn't mean Grissom doesn't care (like i keep saying). H just cares more than Grissom. Maybe it's cause H has just lost his brother and wants to make sure that he doesn't lose anyone else as well.
 
I agree, Grissom is just Grissom, but I yearn for the Season 1 days when he actually had a sense of humor and was more human.

In that ep did he ever do anything other then escort greg to the ambulance, i mean i remember catherine being at the hospital while he was a sleep to tell him what happened, but i don't remember grissom ever going there, correct me if i am wrong please.

As to Horatio lets remember in the hurricane ep he stayed with they dying man they found in the back yard, he held his Bloodied hand (minus gloves) and talked to him, or when eric came in with the bruises (from the car theft ring) he stood there letting him decide if he wanted to talk about it at all.

Again there are differences between the two guys, and thats a fact, Grissom cares at a distance, his emotions are tucked inside so that he doesn't get hurt so much (imo) and horatio's cares at close range, his emotions are shown and though he may get hurt by those emotions they are still there to be seen.

Either way IMO both men do a terrific job protraying characters with the material they are given at the time, i am sure there are parts they would love to go back and change, should have said it like this, or did that, hindsight.

Hey. You're right. Horatio does take shots for the team. He's always putting himself on the line (blaming himself for incidents), just to see his team get the job done or stay out of harms way.

Not like Grissom. He's always like "I'll just supervise", and crawl under a rock or something until things melow down.
