Horatio & Alexx-Two Peas in a Pod

Well, she wants them to find out the answer. She is like the mother. Enjoying watching her "Children" succeed. And Horatio worries about the others, like a father figure. Put them together and you get your typical couple who's relationship is basically built on care and love.
I can see them growing old together. Like the old couple who after all these years still brings each other roses and hallmark cards. Ah, but I'm just a sap :p

Ah, and now I can't stop thinking of when I was watching whatever comes before Miami on CBS and this elderly man pointed to something and his wife looked behind her. And while she was still looking, he dropped a rose on her plate.
For some reason, I always seen Horatio doing that to Alexx. :D
 
So, how 'bout those two peas in a pod?

I think they are both very empathetic, much more so than being sympathetic. Instead of just feeling really bad for the other person they feel compelled(sp?) to do more.

& that's my 2 cents for bumping this thread.

I agree with you Palm! I definitely see them as mother and father to the rest of the team. There's a lot of tenderness and empathy for everyone with those two, just as midnight said.
 
Well, they care. That's quite rare these days unless it's for a selfish need (K, not for everybody, but it seems to be so in Miami a lot...).
It's basically about raw emotion about them. Alexx isn't afraid to let people know when she's upset. She cries, gets angry, laughs. She's a real person with real emotions. And she cares deeply about everyone on the team.
Just as Horatio does because their basically his only family left now. And they trust and look up to them so he probably will try everything to protect his team. As well, he always tries to do his best to help a person, reassure them that they'll be fine. The best example I can think of is the girl who's parents were killed in the MIA/NY Nonstop. He promised he'd catch her killer and he did. It's the kinda thing he'd do.

Their similar in that fashion about love and humanity.
 
Very true. Both of them are just such caring individuals, and they aren't afraid to show how they feel. Horatio is more reserved than Alexx with some emotions, but I think it's because he's always trying to show a brave face as the leader of the team.

One of my favorite episodes featuring Alexx was the one where one of her best friends was murdered, and his wife came under suspicion. (Can't think of the title right now, of course.) I REALLY loved her in that episode. It's one that I feel might have lead to some off-scene comforting from Horatio.
 
Ummm... I think that was "Freaks and Tweeks".
I was actually suprised during that episode. Alexx really knows how to hold herself. I mean, when Horatio did come in to see what happened to his case's corpse, Alexx was very reserved and acted so naturally, like she didn't want Horatio to know how upset she had been earlier. She's very strong, that's for sure.

I still place 'Dead Woman Walking' as my favourite H/A moment. When he grabbed her hand when he figured out the dead guy was covered in radiation, my heart leaped. And then after you saw Alexx wringing out her hair and H's hair all messy and wet. That just made me grin, real big. :lol:
 
I think you're right about the episode. I always separate those two plotlines for some reason. Maybe because I really love Horatio when he starts freaking out over issues with his brother. I tend to forget that the two go together!

Oh, that is definitely one of my absolute favorite H/A moments! He seemed very calm by the time the clean-up crew got there, but you could tell just by the way he pulled her away that he was really scared for her safety. And the way she kind of clung to him at that same moment was really great, too. ::sigh:: I just love those two.
 
Haha, yeah. I enjoyed that when he freaks out. It makes my day worthwhile :D

I forgot that she clung to him. I think I'm going to have to watch that episode again.
Anyhoo, flipping back farther through the episode list, another one that really got me was during 'Broken', when Alexx was so sad and emotional when she was going over that girl in the bathroom stall while Horatio watched on sadly. It was obvious he was upset (upset? Ha, full-blown mad more like it...) but I do suspect he must have felt something for Alexx. I mean, she was upset as well but she maintained a professional air while she was working on the girl and I bet H just realized how strong of a woman she was.
And then they departed and I became sad again.
