Horatio & Alexx-Two Peas in a Pod

HEY, I like this one... They work together very well and seem to have a long lasting friendship... Por ejemplo: Slow Burn and Lost Son... So yeah I ship them as like 'friend'ship ship... I dunno about the whole ship ship shipping...
 
Horatio called Alexx 'Sweetheart' in 'Slow Burn'. That was a lovely moment. The only other person he's called that is Jennifer in Season 4's 'Under Suspicion', I think.

I wouldn't ever seriously 'ship' these two, but I love their friendship. :)
According to an upcoming spoiler I read, she is (getting divorced). Of course this isn't confirmed 100 percent. So don't go all crazy on me.

Also, during "Nothing to Lose" he was very sweet to her when she was looking at that guy's burned body. Helping her up, leading her down the grass. He always seems genuinely concerned about her and she reflects the same thoughts, like in Lost Son, when she was worrying about how he was holding up...

That's one of my theories, too. I mean, they're the same age, and of all the pairings, I really think they have the most in common, just because of their ages. They've seen a lot of the same things in the world, and they can relate on a level that I don't think the younger team members can understand.

Not to discount any other ships, of course, since I also ship Horatio/Speed, but Horatio and Alexx are definitely my second choice together.

Okay. I think I will survive. And I don't really like that news. It seems odd, since I 'ship Horatio and Alexx, but... I can't see canon putting her through a divorce. And... how would they even fit that into the show? I mean, I know that they talk about character's personal lives a lot, but I can't see them devoting a lot of time to that, and I think I would be annoyed if they just sort of tossed it in like some kind of afterthought.

Ah, let's face it. I'm annoyed that they would even go there in the first place. Alexx and divorce belong in the AU fanfic realm! :: puts foot down ::
 
Well, if it made any point. I really loved Horatio's concern for Alexx in 'Slow Burn'. I could only see them as close friends though. :p

I think you're right, Kiane. They're kindred spirits.

Casper, I always kind of saw that moment in "Slow Burn" as a dual scene. Sometimes (when I'm in Horatio/Speed mode), it's just a very tender scene between two dear friends. But other times, I see it as a total "shipper moment" for me.
 
Yeah, Slow burn when he gave her those eyedrops I thought was so sweet and how she was so scared, holding his arm. It made me melt.
But I still really with he hugged her in Nothing to Lose. I mean, he was very concerned about her kidnapping and I was so convinced he was going to hug her... *sigh*
 
I thought he was going to hug her, too. It kinda left a bad taste in my mouth when he didn't, because you could tell she really needed it.
 
I thought the same thing about that scene in "Nothing to Lose"! And it would have made totally good sense for him to hug her at that moment. It's not like Horatio's never hugged anyone before in the show, and she definitely needed it! It didn't even have to have romantic connotations if the writers didn't want to lean that way, you know? Just something that a good friend would do. :(
 
Yeah, it still bothers me. I mean, it's not like the world would burst on fire if he gave her a hug. He cares for her. That's obvious. And yeah, she did need it. She was scared.
Ah, but I still have my other moments. I really seem to enjoy it when Horatio's observing when she's examining the bodies in the upper deck. Like he's always watching over her. I always enjoy that :D
