Yay! The thread's been resurrected... finally. Thanks again Michelle!

I'm not sure if I want them to be canon or not. Cause sometimes the writers really mess things up for the fans.

Yeah, TPTB mess up a good thing sometimes. I think they should stick with the bantering... for now at least. I would like to see it progress into a friendship though. I hope there's more Wedges next season too. *crosses fingers*
 
I'm sensing more tension and banter this season between the two. Being a spoiler reader, I've read some interesting theories and possibilities. Not going to mention it here seeing there are those few that still try to be spoiler free. I just hope the writers don't ruin it. If there's uncertainties, then I hope they leave well enough alone.

Last season was definitely a good season for the ship and I too hope for more in the upcoming one. I like the idea about one or the other learning something surprising with the other....but only if it doesn't effect their "relationship" in a negative manner. I bet that could be fun seeing the way the two are with each other.

I definitely agree. Nothing worse than either one finding out something negative about the other. Leave things alone if that's what their going to do.

I think if it would've been a full season last year, we could've seen more between them. Crosses her fingers and toes that this year will be a banner year for Wedges.

I agree, if there had been a more complete season then who knows what could've happened. They definately have the thing to do something with, they just have to actually let it go through. Its a much different thing. I think they could work if they were just allowed. Hopefully they'll get more scenes together in season 9 :)
 
The one thing that bothers me though is how the writers tend to leave things incomplete or change things around. I've seen this with this ship not to mention with many other scenes and situations with the show over the past eight years. So if they plan to develop this "relationship" between the two, I hope the writers have some sore of plan in mind to follow along with.

I was never super big on CSI sporting different ships because I thought it interfered with the real story of the show, but subtle hints were never bad because it didn't take away from the show, it was usually done tastefully (minus GSR in the end...sorry), and it gave us a slight insight in the human side of all our favorite characters. What I really like about this 'Wedges' ship is that it's more believable, more or less the typical relationship. Both Wendy and Hodges are interacting with each other like normal human beings would, with the personalities they have. If not in the pre-intimate relationship stage at least like good friends.

Oh no, definitely not... I was thinking more like an embarrasing childhood incident or something like that. I think Wedy would think of it as cute though. She'd probably try to imagine Hodges as a kid... *shakes head* Okay, that's a scary thought!

I totally love that picture!! He does look like a man in love. He also looks like a man conflicted. Kind of like he almost doesn't know if he deserves her or not.

I'm probably not making much sense here, but I kinda see uncertainty on his part. Not as much on hers. He's kinda like that guy in high school that had a crush on the girl, but is sure that she could never feel the same.

Mushy, I know, but I love them as a couple!! Hehe....

Hodges does remind me of that... he is a self-proclaimed geek and I'm not so sure he would approach Wendy on his own initiative. He is awkward around her at times and I want to hug him because of it! But I think that they would be great friends... and of course, that means more bantering!

Yes!! You totally understand where I am coming from. Even though he is a geek, I feel that he wants to be more. A part of me feels like he wants to change for her, but doesn't quite know how to.

I think she likes that "geeky" part of him. It's part of what attracts her to him. Some of the best loves, start out as friendships.

That being said however, I have to say this. Sometimes I think that more of an implied relationship(i.e. romantic relationship) might be better sometimes. I've seen it happen too many times before on other tv shows that I watch. There's a big buildup to a relationship and then Bam! It happens and suddenly the way the writers handle it is God awful. I would hate to see that happen with them. They are too cute and loveable.

Hi I love these two as a pairing but I have never been in this thread is there suppose to be somthing happening between them this season? I can easily see the chemistry :D

Well I don't know if it's super official that the producers and writers are going to go anywhere with it, but from what we've seen over the past two seasons...from Labrats onward, there is definitely something going on. How far it'll be explored or if it will actually be picked up again, I don't know, but from several different interviews I've read with Wally Langham, the question keeps getting asked and he keeps saying "they've been exploring the possibility" or "he'd like to see something happen". In one interview: Q:
 "Do you see him having a girlfriend soon?" WL:"The writers are developing a relationship between Hodges and Wendy Simms (Liz Vassey)."

I know that isn't really anything solid to go on seeing it's only word of mouth and things can suddenly change without reason, but it does help when the actors are game for a storyline.

No problem... I guess that being a Psych major pays off! But seriously, you're right about Hodges wanting to be something more... I think that's why he acts the way he does. I think he just wants a chance to shed his geeky persona. I don't think he has to worry about that though. Being a geek is only part of what he is and I think Wendy likes that because she sees what he can be despite everyone categorizing him in one category. Did that make any sense?

It is great, but again it's only word of mouth and even though it's from Wally himself, we know all to well how things on this show can change. And yes there is a plethora of possibilities for these two. I've got about a dozen going through my head just at this moment...lol! But if the writers aren't prepared to fully explore this ship yet, I hope they leave well enough along...leaving it at the friendly lab banter between the two. Nothing worse then doing something stupid and ruining it.

In several fanfics I've written for the WEDGES relationship and a couple of RP-ing sites I've been on, I've had Wendy's view on Hodges as a personal challenge sort of speak...if that makes any sense. His whole personality and make up is too intriguing for her to pass up. And as several different web-sites have stated...it's like a battle of supremousy between them. I think Wendy likes the geekiness in him. It's what makes him cute and irresistable. Almost like a little boy in an odd way...
 
I also think that she likes the fact that he speaks his mind. No matter how awkward it might be. Sometimes, when it comes to her, he speaks first and thinks later. It's fun to watch and sometimes you can't help but wondering what he will say next.

Oh and if anyone's interested, I wrote a Wedges fic. It's over on the Fan Fiction board....
