hard times...

Catherine got home after picking up Lindsay. She thought for a moment and dialed Sara's number. "Hello Sara? Its Catherine, I just wanted to make sure you guys got back okay, and was wondering if you need anything?"
 
She nodded and kissed him "I, or should I say we, understand, Nicky. Listen, if it'll help, I'll call Cath." She waved and walked in, dialing Cath's number.
 
Caths phone rang before she could dial Sara's number and she looked at the caller id, it read Sara Sidle. Catherine picked up with a smile on her face "Hello Sara what can I do for you?" She asked politely of her friend
 
Sara smiled, hearing the lift in Cath's voice. "Hey, Cath. Listen, Nick left to back Grave, and it's kinda empty here. Are you and Linds up for a Girls' night?"
 
"let me just ask she said into the reciever one moment!" Catherine was so excited it had been a long time since just her Linds and Sara had had a gurls night. She practically ran into Lindsays door in the excitment. She opened it shocking Linds and the aske "hey huney want to go for a gurls night at Sara's?" Linds looked at her mom and a smile creped onto her face "Ya mama that would be fun" she smile and Cath walked back to the phone picking it up she said "we'll be there in ten" Hanging up she grabed some stuff she would need got Linds ready adn they were out the door.
 
Sara smiled. Cath had seemed relly excited about the idea. She was happy she'd have some company. The house really did seem empty without Nick.
 
Catherine and Lindsay hoped in the Tahoe, and were off, they stopped quickly to get some munchies, ice cream and stuff like that. And as promised they were at the Sara's house in ten minutes. She knocked on the door, and Sara answered.
 
Catherine smiled, sure ... she signaled to lindsay to follow and they walked into the house. Sara folded out a fold out couch, they put in a movie and cuddled in together to watch the movie....
 
Catherine gave Sara a small hug and smiled at her, "for what its worth I think you'll make a great mother!" She smiled again ad returned her attention to the moive, Lindsay had fallen asleep on Catherines stomach, and she snuggled closer to her mommy.
 
Sara smiled again. She'd never thought of herself as the motherly type. Lord knows she hadn't had the best role model. Cath's words gave her strength, though. "Cath, she's kicking," she whispered excitedly.
 
Catherine placed her hand on Sara's tummy and giggled slightly, wow, I can't believe it Sara... I am so happy for you! Some tears of joy leaked from her eyes, and Lindsay gave a little snort snuggleing closer yet again to her mom.
 
Nick ran inside the house. "sorry!" he said. "there's been an accident!" he said grabbing somthing from off the table and running into the living room. "Gill, he's..." *breaths deeply. "he's been in an accident!" he said awaiking Lindsay. He looked at Sara.
