hard times...

The doc came to them then. "Sidle, right?"
Sara nodded.
"Well, it appears you have an ulcer. Basically, you have a hole in your dtomach lining which is letting the stomach acid seep through. That's why you're in such pain."

Nick's eyes practily popped out of his head, "what?" he said. "well, will it hurt the baby?" he asked looking very concerned. He began rubbing sara's tummy with one hand, and squeezing her hand with another.

The doc smiled and shook his head. "There are some medications we can use that won't harm the baby. We can even check the baby over if you'd like."

Sara nodded, squeezing his hand.
The doc grabbnd the wand. "The baby's fine. She's coming along right on schedule. Heart that? That's her heartbeat."
Sara sighed in relief.

The doc smiled and nodded. "Everything should even out soon. She's nice and strong,"
Sara rubbed her stomach and smiled, relief washing over her.

Catherine walked to the ER reception desk and rang the little bell, waiting for the nurse to help her. "yes, my'dear?" "Yes I would like to know how my friend is, can you tell me anything or can I see her?" "and what is her name?" "It's Sara sidle" "One moment please."

Sara heard Cath outside.
The doc nodded, reading her thoughts.
Sara eased down from the bed and stepped out with Nick in tow. "Hey, Cath."

"Thank god, I was starting to worry so much about you, and I hadn't herd anything... whats going on?" Catherine was worried and Sara could tell by the tone of her voice, and the look in her eyes.

Sara took her hands. "It's nothing too serious. I have an ulcer, but the doc says the baby's strong as ever." She smiled. "The meds they'll give me won't hurt her."
