hard times...

"no, we're going home... now!" he said. "you are not going to work for... at least one week." he smiled. "its ok, i can work, im not the pregnant one here!"

Nick shook his head. "NO!" he took her hand. "you said you would do as i say, and this is somthing i am..." he sighed. "but what if somthing happened at a crime scene, and i wasnt there to be with you?" he shook his head again. "Nope. Not doing it!" he said agian. "Cath, help me out here! tell her she cant do anything and that what im saying is for her own good!" he looked at sara.

Cath smiled at them both, "No nicky I don't need a ride I brought my Tahoe, thaankyou anyway though." She turned to Sara, "I think nicky's right honey, you need at least a weeks rest." She patted her on the back, and went to leave.

Nick walked up to cath, "hey cath, do you mind having a talk with Sara, women to women." he looked at Sara. "sara doesnt really have a mother to tell her what to expect or anything like that, i thought you could be a big help." he looked back at Cath. "do you mind?"

"No I don't mind, I would love to be of help, and I will help her with anything she needs through out the whole pregnancy." Catherine gave Nick a reassureing smile and walked over to Sara, "Hey gurl, what to talk?"

"I know thats not you, but you need to think about the two of you now." She said as she glanced to Sara's belly. "If for any reason at any time of night you need to talk or need my opinion, feel free to call me." She smiled reassureingly.

She smiled and put a hand on her belly. "Thanks, Cath. I'm gonna need all the help I can get. I don'r have the foggiest about this whole motherhood thing." She laughrd a little.

Catherine gave her a hug "I have to be going now, I have to pic up lindsay, you take care of yourself you hear?" She gave Sara another hug and walked to her SUV. She gave a small wave, threw the vechile in reverse and was gone in a second to get her daughter.

catherine sped off to get Lindsay from her friends, where she had spent the night, she was already half a hour late, but the friends mom would be alright with it and Lindsay would understand. She was excited for nick and Sara, she smiled to herself.

Sara was happy Cath had been there for them. She'd always thought of her as a mom figure even when they hadn't gotten along that well. Maybe she was right. Maybe a week's rest would do her good.

Nick drove to the house and helped Sara get in the door. "listen, i know i said i would stay with you and all, but i HAVE to work, somones gotta pay the bills." he said kisssing Sara on the cheek. "i promise i'll make it up to you" he said smiling. He waited for sara to reply.
