Grissom & Sara #29: The Only Person He Ever Loved

They filmed "BTK' last August at the MGM Grand, and downtown, I was there, looking for them for hrs., but they give out bogus schedules, for instance, in our paper, they said they'd be at the MGM on Monday, when in fact they were downtown, I saw no one, and the security guard told me, that they come in through the back dock, in a limo, and whisk them in, they film and then rush them back out, because of the large fan base, they also filmed "Killer" here, and I also looked for them one security guard saw Jorja, from a distance, but the security if so tight, and they film like 5 am he said, when the population is light so I live her, and can't see them, so on a fan visiting, HMMMM, I don't think so impossible, a cash cage girl saw Marg and her hubby on Sunday, strolling through the casino! so yes, they're only here a few times throughout the season!

 

i like the icons you got there desertwind . and what a frusterating story. so close to Jorja and couldn't get any closer. shucks!

 

That's awsome. My dad would have been like "What the hell are you smoking" *sigh* Oh well, I suppose that's what I get for being the only one in the family thats GSR nutcase.

They better not kill Sara off. If they do I am going to write my own script where she dosen't die then hold the writers hostage and make them use it. My friend said that she would help. Now all we need is a script..... :lol:

Spoiler: Season 8 anxiety

Ok folks, here is my Team SO belief: I think there's going to be a GSR wedding. Seriously. There is no other three episode end to this story arc other than death, and I refuse to believe that they are going to kill her off. (Truth be told, though, I would almost rather her character die so I don't have to suffer through the break up.) Also, breaking them up does not end the storyline - TPTB would have to at least deal with the drama of the break up, and they can't very well do that and tone down the GSR screen time. I have maintained it from the beginning: there is a ring in that damned cocoon, and they are getting married. "Smartly." I interpret this to mean that there will be a low key GSR wedding next year. There won't be any grand gala with the team, just a quiet service we may or may not see. Then, GSR is so canon it won't be interesting to talk about it anymore. This saddens me a little since the angst will be over, but at least my fictional geeks will be happy! There is nothing anyone can say to talk me out of this!!!

Sorry for the rant, but I hope it offers a different interpretation of recent statements. We all know TPTB are trying to fool us!!

Now it's reported that their looking for a new CSI girl cop, who's young [so much for LH, Cath and Sofia], to replace Jorja [S/8 spoiler thread] I'm so confused and wonder what TPTB really have in mind, if they kill off this character Sara, I'm done with this whole show.. and then I remember David Rambo's e-mail, and he was so close to saying "everything is OK" that I just don't know what to believe or not belive

 

I agree with Laurie that if you just want science dont watch CSI
watch the discovery channel
CSI is not 100% accurate anyway
they have to make it fit with each character
and speed it up for TV

I for one thought that cases in Season 7 were good
so were the characters

although i missed Griss and Sare working a case together like they did in the early years

CSI has always been about mixing cases with the personal
otherwise so many people would not love Grave Danger

That episode is only great if you know every character inside and out
there is so much going for all of them in that episode
and yes GSR in the "trigger scene"

It is Season 8 time for the characters to breathe and have journeys
while doing great cases

other cop shows have character development
NCIS Without A Trace
now is the time for CSI and the writers to step up to the plate
and prove that they know what they are doing
with the science and the characters
they need to prove everyone wrong that they cant do characters

If they follow there plan which was to make the characters unfold before our eyes layer by layer each season
they designed it to be like a book that gets more complex and revealing as it goes along
plus if they did not have it planned why is there so much evidence
that they did
look at all the complex Sara scenes
even back to "Sex Lies and Larvae"
look at the moment after Brass pulls the suspect out of her face
you can see all the complex anger and fear on Sara's face
beautiful acting

i have faith
and CSI has the two best actors on TV to lead the charge to the Emmy's next year

OK so I have failed miserably at going spoiler free! hey if it concerns GSR I wanna know!

Spoiler: reply to desertwind and my own musing on GSR in s/8

only just looking now? surely if they were looking for a replacement lead-role character this would have been done, like, ages ago? not once filming had already started? that's not really the sort of thing you leave to the last minute to sort out! and also, just because they *might* be introducing a new character, doesn't mean that they're going to replace an old one, we've had the introduction of loads of characters over the seasons and they've not replaced anyone. I still stick by how I interpreted what Jorja said in the ET interview, she wants to stay and protect her character and as far as she is aware Sara is going to live.and going back to the rumor of them ending the GSR arc, again this is open to interpretation, it could mean that they split (or of course, she dies! lol but that aint gonna happen!)- but I can't see that happening because there would be episodes where they would be having to deal with their feelings and this wouldn't be letting the characters "breathe" - also I don't see them splitting, it's taken them 7 years to get where they are now- they obviously didn't rush into anything, splitting over something like this doesn't seem in their characters. but it could just mean that there aren't going to be any more episodes this season where there is a focus on the relationship, it's just going to plod along in the background as it has done since s5/6, ending the "GSR arc" doesn't mean ending GSR!

SPOILER-FREE[/u] speculation that i prefer to put into a box, just in case it will happen. Based on the latests news-feed title]ok. so they are killing her off then. now i'm certain. well, it was fun while it lasted but at the moment i'm 99% positive that she is going to die/resign/transfer/vanish from the show in some other way. yup. ya know, i'm having a battle in my head whether canon GSR was a good thing if she's going to die now. i mean, i'm definitely a Grissom shipper, and i don't want him to break. i don't really see him working as if nothing happened now. On the other hand, S7 was a blast for us, and we can't complain. i'm more worried about how is everything going to look like in S8 though, and i'm not entirely sure TPTB will be able to pull it off realistically AND keep the procedural nature of the show. besides, we don't really know how many episodes did Billy sign his contract for. he will be back, but for how long? so to summarize it all - seeking a new female character is the most obvious sign that it's Sara's last moments on CSI. yes everyone, i'm a pessimist. i prefer to be positively surprised, than dissapointed, but ready for the worse to happen. ETA: but if this whole thing is BS, i totally bought it, and i'm gonna feel so ashamed in September. End of ETA

ok so they're looking for a new female character... i don't know how to take that (i've not read into it so i'm just speculating here) - i wouldn't be surprised, even if Sara does survive that her character doesn't take a break, I mean after an ordeal like that wouldn't you want to get away from it all for a while? i think it would be a wrong move to replace Sara, and especially with a young female - talk about rubbing salt in the wound! I guess it depends on what spoilers you want to believe... the few out seem so contradictory at the moment, i mean going from "ending the GSR arc in a clever way" to "killing off and replacing Sara" - those are different ends of the spectrum! Killing Sara isn't ending the GSR arc in a clever way!! i doubt they'd let out something massive like this easily, which is why I am not sure if i believe it or not. I still find it a bit odd that if they are indeed intending on replacing Sara (alive or dead), that they've left it until now to start looking for a replacement? - but i do like your train of thought of assume the worst and you can only be pleasantly surprised come september! but i still think she'll live - but that's just IMHO edit to add: just thought I'd say, if the decision to get rid of Sara (either dead or alive) is through Jorja's own decision not to continue then i think i'll find that easier to accept than TPTB just deciding to kill her off, coz I really don't think they would gain anything by losing or replacing Sara, and the speculation over if Billy will be in most of s8 - WTF?! CSI without Grissom is like 'everybody loves Raymond' without Raymond! could they really continue with 2 of the lead character not in it anymore?? how much of their fanbase would they lose by losing these characters? (be it perminantly or temporaily)

I don't see how a 20 something year old would be a replacment for Sara, shes way to young for Griss. I think everything coming from TPTB has been quite ambiguous & they're just trying to jerk us around & build raitings. I think the GSR arc ending means that there is going to be a wedding or something & then GSR will just be an accepted background thing until they use it to write Billy & Jorja out at the end of the year. Why would they be filming in SF if Sara was dead?

 

Spoiler: About Jorja Fox's leaving in 8th season.

Carol said, If Fox does leave. She didn't said, Fox is leaving, she said if she does leave. Carol is not telling us the truth the whole thing, she just gave Michael Ausiello a little bit of a spoiler. If she does leave and why would they do in San Francisco?

 

Spoiler: what i think about season8

i think she is DEF going to live! she has to. Grissom declaires his love for her and she just dies?? ya, that is not going to happen. bad writing if it does. i think they will get married and then the show will be all forensic, i think that is what they mean by letting the characters breathe. but on the replacing girl, that is retarded. i honestly wouldnt be surprised if the show ended completely after this season. i mean if Jorja and Billy really dont want to do it then the show is going to be pointless without them...
