Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

of course i don't question those little GSR moments that we were having. they're certainly there, but they are also minor and in the background.

i may be asking for too much but i just want GSR to come out of the shade. i want somebody to say something about it, and for a moment to stop implying. i want CONCRETS. for now, they're relationship is pretty much only strongly IMPLIED, it hasn't been 100% proven. of course most movies, shows and CSI in particular are not documentaries, they imply more than really show but still, this is what i'm thirsting for. a statement of fact or an action. either a word, a kiss or another kind of interaction. and again, i know it may be something that not every CSI fan will enjoy, but it's just what i personaly feel and want.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Oh, gosh, Adz, I think almost everyone in here wants some on-screen affection! I guess I just get frustrated when people want lots of love and affection every week. I'm grateful we get anything at all, because our ship is canon. If nothing else, he has a nightstand at her house. That's huge! And that was as of WTG which was months ago, now!

I'd love a kiss. I'd love a hug. I'd LOVE an, "I love you." I just try to keep my expectations low because while we love GSR, there is still an incredibly vocal anti group out there who hate it. So, I treasure every bit TPTB give us.

And, come on, who ISN'T hoping for a goodbye kiss? Or even a welcome back kiss? YUMMY!

I know. It is so weird to think that GSR only became canon six months ago. I just realized that this Saturday is the 6 month anniversary of WTG! Although I might want more on screen stuff (I would love another at-home scene), I'm just gonna be happy with what we're given because seriously? Grissom and Sara have without a doubt the most developed relationship of any CSI and I love that.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Random Catherine finding out idea:

OK, so, we've seen the pics, and it looks like Catherine is in the room when Grissom is reading his letterhead from Williams. If I remember correctly, this is the episode where, originally, there was no indication of Sara. So, we might be looking at a Sara-less episode. How do you work GSR into a Sara-less episode? Simple... What if Gris explains what the paper is about, and Catherine simply asks what Sara will think about it. Simple as that. That throws Gris COMPLETELY, and I think it'd be a fun reveal for Cath to be in on it... I really want her to find out first, mostly because she's such a great friend to Gris, and she and Sara have come such a long way in their relationship.

Tmra needs to come faster so we have some fresh, non-spoiler meat to dig into. :)

yeah, i know. that's what i wrote earlier, despite there was little or no GSR in some eps, i'm happy it happened that way even though at the time i was temporarly dissapointed. maybe dissapointed is too big of a word for this actually, but you get the idea.
I'd love a kiss. I'd love a hug. I'd LOVE an, "I love you." I just try to keep my expectations low because while we love GSR, there is still an incredibly vocal anti group out there who hate it. So, I treasure every bit TPTB give us.
true. and i think it's another cause of such popularity of this ship. they give us so little and by doing so they show us how much more it could be. and now in S7, it's more than ever.
sorry Adzik!
it's okay, i'm used to it ;)

oh and 'Lyssa? what TIMEZONE are you? lol

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

okay, what do y'all want me to do now, huh? spoilers, spoilers, spoilers.

The best part is that 90% of the messages we're putting in the boxes are spoil-free.

We just have to put them there because they potentially lead to discussion ABOUT spoilers.

well, b/c we didn't have much GSR lately i feel that anything they will give us in the upcoming episodes is going to be more precious. if they did a couple of veggie burgers more in DC and Post Mortem, the bigger GSR which i believe is to come (i speculate here) would hold less power, less meaning and less magic (yeah, i know i said MAGIC, so i sound like an old grandma, but it's the only word that suited in here).

...Grandmas and magic?

Anyway - I agree. I think that if they really start holding back, which they've been doing in terms of no real shippy scenes, that if we get a *big* scene, it will have a greater impact.

we have this expression in polish that describes this as a "silence before the storm", dunno if there is a similar one in english, but you get the idea.

You and your crazy Polish sayings that don't translate into English at all...

LOL Adzix. We call it, "The calm before the storm."

Damnit, Alyssa! Way to totally screw up everything.

therefore, despite my temporary unhappiness and slight dissapointment after lack of GSR in last eps, i'm happy that they feed us with so little just to tease our apetites and come with a Bang later. i'm sure the wait is gonna be worth it. heck, most of us waited for years, so it's better for it to be played out carefully than to rush anything.

And I think that they know that they're baiting us. They're in the same room constantly, yet they give us scraps of real interaction. Therefore, I think they're building the tension, but also, if they're in the same room constantly and nothing happens, we get used to nothing happening. If every time Grissom walks through the door he's bringing her lunch or calling her dear or checking out her ass, we know to expect it.

There you go - that's my new theory as to why they work together so often. They're normalizing the interactions so that a big GSR moment catches us by surprise.

having said that, i'm going to my studying. it's the last day, tommorow since 11.50c i'm DONE with all my finals and i can read FF and rewatch CSI for two weeks not moving out of my bed.

I'm done on the fourth *glares* and then I have finals until, like, the 15th.

Polish whore.

Oh GOD we had power outtages EVERYWHERE last night. What normally takes 20 minutes to get home took 2 hours. The roads were insane.

And I really don't think the last few eps were COMPLETELY GSR-less. I just think people want fluff all the time, and there are other aspects to relationships. In "Burn Out" we saw Sara playing the wife, being gentle, yet not hestating to correct her man. And he, in turn, did not jump down her throat. Also, when he was ready to change the subject back to work, she followed. For some people, you'd want him to acknowledge he was wrong right then and there with an, "I'm sorry." Sara knows her man, though. She knows that's not his style, so she moves on. It shows how much they understand each other.

Yeah, but even the husband and wife moment was very co-workery. Would Sara have ever done that and would he have received her like that before they were together? No. But it's not really a "GSR moment" so to speak. There are other aspects of relationships, and personally I really like that they're so comfortable and domestic and, like WP said, a married couple - but at the same time, I want a damn kiss.

I have a feeling we'll get a goodbye kiss. Only because there were whispers of a goodbye scene between them, but often scenes that would be really important aren't spoiled for fear of another "Committed" response

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

I was just watching 4x4 and came to think of one thing when I saw Grissom's reaction to overhearing Sara and Greg talking about their "shower". What if that was one of the things pushing Grissom to go after Sara? I mean, his looks says that he can't believe what he's hearing and maybe he thought he could be to late and that Sara should hook up with Greg in the near present if she hadn't already by then...
Well, I'm only specualting and am really tired so I have no real clue of what I'm writing in English. It might as well be in Swedish...

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

I definitely think that Grissom has always been a little jealous of how easily Sara got along with Greg. After all, Greg was the only person who, besides Grissom, accepted Sara right from the start when she joined the team. Of course, unlike Warrick, Catherine and Nick, Sara wasn't investigating or treading on Grissom or Greg's territory, and both had crushes on her, so I'm sure that helped...

lol.

But yeah - I wouldn't necessarily say that seeing Greg with Sara was a catalyst, but you definitely got the sense in the Committed pillow-smothering scene (2 episodes later) that Grissom was not a happy camper when Greg flirts

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Adz, I'm eastern US. I just don't sleep. :)

As for Greg jealousy pushing Gris forward... Gris has been known to show a bit of jealousy, as mentioned in the above posts, when it comes to his woman and Greg. However, I don't think that really served as a catalyst for him. I mean, she was actively dating Hank, and he didn't do anything then. No, I think the catalyst was somewhere between "Committed" and "Grave Danger." I don't necessarily think it was the thought of losing her that forced him to say, "Better be with her now before she's dead." But, I think there was a push there to be with her, a push that was already in motion post-"Nesting Dolls," but that was pushed on even more by the events of "Committed" and "Grave Danger."

I mean, "Nesting Dolls" was the first time he admitted to needing her. Not, "The lab needs you here." None of that crap. "I need her." He said it to Ecklie in front of Catherine. It was a huge freakin' step.

And I have no idea if anything I said was coherant. Too tired. :0

yeah, you know normal people don't say "it was a MAGICAL evening". just. old grandmas.
Anyway - I agree. I think that if they really start holding back, which they've been doing in terms of no real shippy scenes, that if we get a *big* scene, it will have a greater impact.
yeah, that's why everytime there is no GSR i keep telling myself that next time it's gonna be huge.
You and your crazy Polish sayings that don't translate into English at all...
what about "run around like a cat that's gotta pee"? got something similar?
Damnit, Alyssa! Way to totally screw up everything.
thank you Alyssa :D you're always HONEST *glares at sarah*

awesome observation. you remember in the beginning we expected GSR everytime they had a scene together, and we were mostly getting it. now, we cannot be that certain we'll get anything when they are together.

MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. i'm DONE for two weeks now!! and i can make icons, date, sleep, eat, read FF, and watch CSI 24/7! *dances hula dance*

Adz, honey, I'm the prudish, honest, messianic Jewish aunt. Though none of that rules me out from that kind of behaviour, I can assure you: not my bag. (Translation: I don't do things like that.) I have insomnia, and I'm a nightowl by nature. :)

A really big moment would be jolly. I mean, we've been light for a few weeks after having something every week, nad here, we find ourselves waiting to see what tonight brings. It'll be interesting to be in here after the big show airs. :) Just another few hours.

I will tell you my response to that on PM.

what about "run around like a cat that's gotta pee"? got something similar?

Chicken with its head cut off.

thank you Alyssa you're always HONEST *glares at sarah*

*Prides self on being a horrible person*

awesome observation. you remember in the beginning we expected GSR everytime they had a scene together, and we were mostly getting it. now, we cannot be that certain we'll get anything when they are together.

And even pre-canon it was the same thing - pretty much any time they shared significant screentime, something happened. So I think they know we know to expect it now.

And it won't be exciting if it feels like an obvious next leap.

MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. i'm DONE for two weeks now!! and i can make icons, date, sleep, eat, read FF, and watch CSI 24/7! *dances hula dance*

I hate you.

*COUHGS LOUDLY* And billycrotch.com was, what - informational science?

i'm very aware of that ;)

yeah, can't wait. right now i'm making some GSR icons to kill time.

Chicken with its head cut off.
so right now, i'm one. wait. hey 'Lyssa is she bullshitting me?
And it won't be exciting if it feels like an obvious next leap.
exaclty. and it will be a lot more surprising. jesus, i'm excited about today. don't spoil me.
I hate you.

naah, to be honest i didn't check out much cuz the site was loading horribly long. i didn't even bookmark it and i can't find it now.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Adzix - your box is full, dahlink.

i'm very aware of that

Alyssa and I should be like Jewish crimefighters. You know - Can do your taxes in a single hour - can buy you sweaters at the Gap for wholesale prices - can completely dominate any and every industry they want - They're SUPERJEWS.

You love it. Don't lie.

Ooh! Ooh! We could have, like, deadly Draidles.

It'll be, like, putting the C Back in Channukah.

so right now, i'm one. wait. hey 'Lyssa is she bullshitting me?

lmao. You never know!

Nah - I'm not "Like a chicken with its head cut off" is supposed to mean someone frantically running around. Because a chicken will run around for about 10 seconds after its head has been severed because of the nerve endings firing off.

exaclty. and it will be a lot more surprising. jesus, i'm excited about today. don't spoil me.

Wish I could *sighs* *thinks of reasons why YTDAW no longer provides spoilers* *Glares at no one in particular...*

Anyway - I think that it's inevitable that they'll give us more than a scene with the two preparing for bed.

And much as I loved that scene, it looked more like they were going to spoon and sleep rather than have a crazy wild sexfest.

Not that I want to see that.

But either way - kiss! Please? Kiss!

*performs manicure*

Is that some kind of ritualistic polish revenge tactic?

naah, to be honest i didn't check out much cuz the site was loading horribly long. i didn't even bookmark it and i can't find it now.

Perhaps it was because of the sheer volume of its content ;)

*waits for Dayna to recoil in horror*
