i just wanted to say that ^^ but i can't help myslef to point out that we've got a great nom battle up there. i wonder what's gonna win, yo. maybe *gasp* one of my titles?
i'm so curious too!! is so funny when you have so many good choices!!!
look the fight for the last place in top 5 !!! WOW

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Yeah its the newest promo i believe. It shows Grissom looking to the left talking to someone specific and he says, "Brass just got a call from someone claiming that the ghost of Mickey Dunn wants to kill him."

Aah. And... sorry - my brain's dead. I'm in the middle of language lab. Do you think he's talking to Sara at home?

Hmm you think they'll have a nice Thanksgiving dinner? It may be tofurky or something instead of real turky but...and then there'd be plenty of room for dessert...*giggle*

I think that if they do believe this is their last year, it might be nice to have, like, a team outing dinner or something.

But with them pointedly seated next to each other.

NEVER.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

Great.. Now, I'm repeatedly watching the new promo trying to figure out where Grissom is for the lighting to be that low. I can dream that they'd have Gris and Sara having their own little Thanksgiving, but it almost would seem bittersweet considering last week, because I'd spend the whole time wondering if Sara knew, yet, about the offer to teach. One more day until we know for sure. :) Can we all wait one more day?

Yeah, I know we can't, but we have no choice. Pumpkins!

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

That looked like a viewing room shot to me. Mostly because of the way the shadow is hitting his chin - the only time it's looked like that this season is when he's been in the viewing room with Sara or Catherine.

He could be talking to anyone, however. His tone isn't really giving anything away, but it's obviously another CSI. I doubt it's Greg given how casual it is. So that leaves... Catherine, Nick, Warrick and Sara. lol. And possibly Sofia.

I dunno - this show has never done a Holiday moment. But given the fact that two characters are now living together, it wouldn't be unheard of.

I think Grissom in the kitchen burning a block of tofurkey and then calling to make reservations at a restaurant would be a cute scene.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

When will this be finalized? some good.. some weird..some well, new fans might not understand them "They're doing it right now" seems to be appropriate..since they are :p

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

alright guys, i've been going through S2 episodes chronologically and gotta tell y'all it's a very confusing season in terms of GSR. in short it looks like this:

1. PSVs in Chaos Theory and Overload.
2. Sara meets Hank in Bully For You.
3. Sara strokes Grissom's cheek in Scuba Doobie-Doo.
4. Grissom meets Lady Heather in Slaves of Las Vegas.
5. Sara has a date with Hank in The Finger.
6. Grissom makes the rude "hamburger" comment, Sara asks for a leave of absence, Grissom buys her a plant in Burden of Proof.
7. Grissom tells Sara she is beautiful in Primum Non Nocere.
8. PSV in Felonis Monk.
9. Grissom holds her arm in Anatomy of a Lie.
10. The symmetry under the bridge and Robbie Robertson's 'Unbound' song in the background in Season 2 Finale The Hunger Artist.

(oh, and an interesting sidenote: around the time of Ellie in real life Billy proposed to Gina.)

so usually we look at those moments separately, reffering to them as "chalk scene" or "the plant" etc, but we tend to forget that they all made a whole and that there was a specific chronology to them.

for example: Grissom didn't know Sara was involved with anybody up until The Finger when he, as far as i remember, overheard that Sara had a date with Hank (i don't exactly recall if Grissom actually heard the comment Warrick made, but even if not, i believe it came to him around that time anyway).

BUT he didn't know anything about Hank during the chalk scene, and there is a fair chance Sara went on a date with him by then already.

so after "chalk" Grissom meets LH, they flirt and all but he doesn't pursue a relationship with her yet, he leaves it as it is. also we've got him going after Sara in Organ Grinder, which wasn't exactly shippy but showed that he cared for her.

THEN we've got The Finger. Grissom now knows Sara is seeing someone. Right after this episode comes "BoP" with Grissom's "whatever" attitude. Sara is hurt, and she resignates. in result Grissom is sorry and buys her Da Plant.

The next episode right after that is PNN. is Grissom still feeling slightly sorry? well first, he knows she is seeing someone so a comment he made is less risky than if she was single and secondly, yeah, he is still sorry.

then we have some Grissom PSVs again and later the protective hold on her arm. this all brings me to a conclusion:

1. Grissom knew Sara liked him more than she should thanks to Scuba.
2. He wasn't really ready for anything with her but also didn't go all the way with other women at that time.
3. He shows her he cares, but when he learns about Sara being involved with someone else, he is confused and well, annoyed.
4. He realizes he was too harsh on her and that maybe he should show her somehow that he too, could be interested in her. This way he wants to tell her she shouldn't be too serious about the guy she's seeing. Let's remember she's at the age most women are already married.
5. In the end we've got a beautiful conclusion of the whole complicated season with this song:

I am drawn
I am drawn to her
Like a moth to flame
She leads me down
Unbound

I am lost
I am lost
Has anybody seen me
I am lost

Oh nothing is forgotten
Only left behind
Wherever I am
She leads me down
Unbound

so basically my interpretation depends on Grissom knowing about her seeing someone through most of the season. we know that he first heard about "Hank" as a specific person in the premiere of S3, when he met him, but IMO he knew that she was involved after The Finger.

and all this accompanied by the Buteflied explanation he gave would explain why he didn't want to get involved with her at that time. i think Hank was partly a reason Grissom knew he would've felt insecure. he sees Sara stroking his cheek and shortly after he learns she is seeing someone else. i think his fear deepens when he SEES Hank for the first time, he's handsome and young. not that Grissom is not handsome, DUUUUH, but as we know he might be a little oblivious to the fact that he is good looking. he doesn't strike me as a guy who stares at the mirror most of his life, and i believe that in his mind, the biggest factor that drives women to him, is his mind. but than again, who knows what this guy really thinks?

HAHA.... very good observation. Because I was so bored I didnt know what to do with myself, I paused the scene and (I could be wrong) but in the left corner it looks like dark hair. Maybe Im just seeing things and just really want to be her, but who knows.

Could you imagine if they were really having thanksgiving dinner together? Holy moly, this board would be outrageous! lol.

BUt then i tend to believe that they probably wont even mention Thanksgiving, but hey you never know!

Adz have you noticed how handsome Billy looked in the promo? Id bet you like some of him for Thanksgiving dessert (if hes not otherwise engaged) hahaha!

PS I love all the top noms and i think anyone will be awesome!

Edited to add spoiler tag

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

What the hell is up with the pumpkin? Does this have to do with your Thanksgiving? How ethnocentric. *snotty face*

I voted for "Normal Fell" and 2 others I can't remember. I didn't vote for 5 because I only liked 3. Is there a new episode this week, even though it's "Thanksgiving"? Is this where the pumpkin thing comes from? I'm confused.

Oh, my letter was published in the current issue of Cosmo (US, not UK). w00t.

awww, thank you des :) i kinda felt i had to order all of it also in my head.

i haven't, cause i don't WATCH promos, lol ;) i consider them spoilers, i'm very radical. that's why i unfortunately omit your discussion about it, i haven't read any of it.

but heck yeah, i'm going to watch the promo after the episode airs and i'm sure he looks freakin' cute. as always :D

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

The pumpkin is in reference to Grissom's comments from last week! Watch the show people!! ;)

I really hope "Since Norman Fell" wins. It's about darn time! We've had that one up there for ages, and it's just such a classic. Plus, it would give all of us a chance to design new banners. Oh, just me? Ok, then.

I was talking to my fiance about tomorrow being Thanksgiving, and whether or not we'd get any indication of our Geeks doing something to celebrate, when my fiance reminded me that, besides last year's Thanksgiving, CSI doesn't really "do" holidays. *sniff*

*crosses fingers* Still hoping.

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

i was lost about pumpkin too
Thanks Alyssa :)!!!
wow, Grissom is a real poet..Gosh i love this man
i'm reading Moby Dick and thinking in Grissom....ok i'm crazy but he is so real for me... I am imagining which part of the book he liked more lol

Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding

GSR quote from this week's ('Happenstance') Fandom Talk review by the wonderful Annie -

He simply quotes her a line - "I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion" - and she teases him about being a misanthrope. She leaves him to his solitude but not without an affectionate parting shot: "I won't wait up." He puts down his book and looks conflicted but, dude, it's not a difficult choice. Literature will wait. The brilliant, funny, hot young woman who adores you may not. Don't be an idiot, Grissom. Seriously.
Love.

Anyway, GO NORMAN FOR THREAD TITLE. For once. Srsly.

I still do like 'Blue Eyed Boy/Brown Eyed Girl' on variation of Sweetest Thing title, though.

Now, I am going to go sleep. Being up til 3:45am and having to get up again at 6am is NOT FUN. Damn seminar preps. Griss, I feel ya, boy! Just be glad you have a hot brunette to go home to. I, however, at this point in time, do not* :( Zzz...

*Unless you count Colin and The Tom, who I of course have at my beck and call...*cough*

I doubt there's going to be a GSR related Thanksgiving-ish scene. To me the room Grissom was in was too dark to be anywhere shippy (not including the supply closet, but we're not going there). It's either the interrogation room, the viewing room or that room with all the computer screens and video equipment. You know what would be a pleasant surprise, though? If it actually was the supply closet. Bow chica wow wow!

And of course my vote went to "Since Norman Fell". That thread title better win this time, dammit.

Vote for Norman!

Wow, Adz, nice job. Season 2 was definitely the season of variety in terms of GSR. We got fluff scenes, angsty scenes, jealousy scenes and just plain teamwork scenes.

BUT he didn't know anything about Hank during the chalk scene, and there is a fair chance Sara went on a date with him by then already.

I have to disagree. Sara called someone at the end of Too Tough to Die and I'm almost 100% sure it was Hank. The next episode was The Finger (I think) and that showed them -as you aleady said, Adzix- having dinner together. It just makes sense.

Great post Adz.

Double w00t! Nice going, zig. Next time I'm in a store which sells Cosmo I will scan through the issue and be like, "I KNOW HER! SHE'S IN MY GANG" when I see your letter. *gangsta pose*

Oh, and Al? Love the icon.
