i comlepetely, fully, definitively agree with theatre on that one.

SO YOU THINK THEY SHOULD GET A PUPPY, TOO?! :D

Uh, I mean...*cough* Yes. Um..anyway...

I'm gonna go ahead and swing this agreeance right back at you, though when you say they would have needed to sort out the past before they could have a future together. That's one of the major reasons why it's taken them so long to become a couple in the first place. They needed that clean slate to form a stable foundation.

Just like you need to cleanse, tone and moisturise before you apply foundation or you will get ACNE.

Ahem.

I'm going to, uh...go now.

I picked option numero 1. I think that they're sooo confortable with each other. She opened up to him big time in "Nesting Dolls" when she told him about her family and childhood, she let him in into her life. I think that by now Grissom has talked to her about his family and childhood too. I think that the only thing they hadn't talked about was about fantasies which they did in "Way to Go" and by the way they were looking at each other they wanted to start right away

DONT WORRY THATS ABSOLUTELY OKAY WITH ME; after some time one gets used to it ;)hope ya fine!!

I voted for the number two option, come on guys do you really think that they have overcome all the difficulties which challenged them for such a long time?! I dont think so, because when if everything goes on so well, why is this all still a secret and why are there no huging and kissing.
Of course they want each other madly but i feel that they have to face some troubles before ending up together happily ever after. They are both so complicated and kind of troubled with their past (I think that not only sara has to fight some ghosts from the past...just a feeling.... Iam preety sure that there will be some shocking momets for us shippers when they ll make us think"oh god they are breaking up!!! "but i am also sure the best is yet to come for sara and grissi and everything will be fine in the end but till then the shippers hearts will have to face some heartache.

SO YOU THINK THEY SHOULD GET A PUPPY, TOO?!
*deadly silence*

okey, but seriously i think ...well, no. i don't think anymore. i don't have to. you wrote exactly what i wanted to say.

i'm pretty depressed right now. third month without new CSI already passed and i feel a REALLY big need for new episodes and a bunch of GSR moments. good news? 3/4 of the time we needed to wait passed. still, there is this freakin' 1/4.

You and your effing polls. Lol.

:D :D :D on the polls- I picked #1-no quick fix- we just don't know once again what those snaky writers have up their sleeves- or in store :(- and alot I believe hinges on WP's departure or his "play" they have to write around his absence :( we've got like a month, and then we'll all see what's happening-

they even purse their lips together- that's from being around each other so much-they pick up the facial expressions :p-

desertwind, I looooooove your banner. Seriously, I'm in love with it.

I think that both Sara and Grissom have loved each other all along, Sara figured it out a while ago, and took a chance in 'Play with Fire'. A little bit before 'Butterflied', Grissom figured out that he did, in fact, love her too. Then in 'Butterflied', he confessed, without actually realizing it. Then around 'Committed' and 'Grave Danger', Grissom figured out that he didn't want to loose her.

I haven't really decided when he took his chance and asked her yet. I don't think that Sara asked him, I also don't think it was mutual. Well, it might have been partly mutual. Like if Grissom started to ask Sara out, then got a bit scared, so Sara just said 'yes' because she knew what he was going to ask. Or maybe Grissom tried to ask and Sara had fun watching him squirm.

Okay - I picked two. Are MOST of their problems behind them? Yes. But I still think that they clearly do have issues that they couldn't possibly have worked out in a few months of being together.

And, more importantly, it works better for the plot if they're not just automatically together and in a land of puppies and rainbows and lollipops.

You KNOW you want to join the "Grissom and Sara should get a puppy" club, Sarah. DON'T DENY IT.

What issues in particular do you think they haven't worked out, though? I'm curious. Do you have some in mind that you think "Nah, they couldn't have possibly gotten over X incident" or are you just speaking theoretically?

Other people feel free to answer that question, too, by the way.

I think that grissom has a big problem showing his feelings, not only to sara but to everyone. He likes to give the impression of everythings going fine but deep inside i believe he is a very shy person afraid of letting someone into his heart for the fear of getting hurt. And there must be a reason for that, maybe troubles with parents in childhood or a miserably gone wrong rlationship?!
Its very hard to get through to him and i think sara has been very desperate about his behavoir in the past. she for herself had to face horrible things in her childhood and has a difficult relationship to men. The main problem between the two for me is that sara needs someone who takes care of her and protects her and absolutely showes her how much she is loved and this in public in front of others to give her the feeling of being safe and sound. Grissom has a bit of a problem with showing how much he cares when in fact he does care a lot for her!!!!! Thats what they have do work on, in my opinion. :)

well, as i said i think problems are behind them, but i can still speculate.

problems that i think are the most probable:

1. Grissom is her boss, and some of his decisions regarding cases and sara's work may interfere with their relationship.
2.They may not agree on some cases they work together.
3. One of them doesn't want their relationship to be a secret anymore while the other doesn't want to change anything.
4. Marriage thing. To marry or not to marry? Grissom as a hidden romantic may want to formalize their relatinoship, while she ... well we know what her attitude towards it is like. A bit far-fetched, i know. In real, i think they both agree they don't need a piece of paper to prove their love, but who knows, if they'll be together for long.
5. Sara getting pregnant. Yeah, i know it won't happen, but if you want me to speculate, it's just what i'm doing. So, are they both ready to have a baby? i don't see any of them as a type of "abortion" people, b/c it would mix up their carriers, but it can still be an issue in terms of "I want a baby!" "No, we talked about it, remember? I'm not going to be good parent" etc etc.

that's it what i can think about right now. IMO the only problems they may have are going to be a result of future events, not past issues, which i believe are fully resolved by now between them.

thats why i think it would be better for them to seperate career and relationship. I am afraid that being together AND work together in the same team could cause a lot of trouble. BTW grissom is still saras boss and that should change somehow for the sake of their relationship.

About working together and being in a relationship together...
It certainly has it's pro's as well, which some people seem to forget.
My parents started a business together, like 30 years ago. This means that they spent time together 24/7. And they love it! They say that it is ideal to be in a relationship were your lover knows exactly what your job is like, and understand why you sometimes feel pressured by it or why you come home late, etc.
And I think that this also works for Grissom and Sara. Except for the part that he's her boss, though that is probably more of a problem for the co-workers. 'Will he favor her?', will be a questions that might arise for them. Though I still think that everyone will be very supportive.

Dont get me wrong. its good that sara and gil know exactly whats the other one is doing, and they will probably never have any problems with understanding how important their work is to them BUT what I think could be causing troubles is the fact that they still work in the same team and you know that for an example cath has her problems with sara anyway so i am afraid the tension between them will increase as for g/s intimate relationship wont be a secret forever ... Your parents started a business together thats different from saras and gris situation. Them working together was a bit of a problem for gil (for a very long time) one of the reasons he hesitated and doubted for a long time. I think its good that they have the same job but find it better if they worked in different shifts/teams.

i think both of you Fabian and gsrhappyending are right. there are a lot of advantages and disadvantages of present situation. but for now, when their relationship is a secret, i think there are less bad sides (no one will accuse Grissom for favoritism etc).

though i realize what consequences of them working together might be, i still wouldn't like Sara to change shifts. i don't want another Mea Culpa. i just don't, sorry.
