The pessimist in me thinks if Sara does return, bringing up the Grissom/Sara relationship is inevitable. lol. Whether I'll buy it depends on how it plays out. As much as I'm not a fan, I don't hate it (though I sure hope they'll just hurry up and get it over with. lol). It was the way TPTB handled the scenes and the screentime that I couldn't stand because the change of the team dynamic and the lack of screentime shared by either Grissom or Sara with other characters were something non-G/S fans couldn't help but noticed. Whether Sara comes back or not, they need to fix it. I'd love more C/G, of course, but Gil needs more time with the boys, too. And I really miss the talks Cath and Gil always had in his office.

That's why I miss Ann Donahue and Anthony Zuiker. Ann was C/G, but she was able to balance their banter and other things in her scripts. Anthony Zuiker did well with the Mac/Peyton relationship on NY. Despite being in a relationship, Mac was still able to pay attention to, and take care of his team. Most importantly, the dynamic between him and Stella didn't change a bit. They still worked together and still shared scenes and were still BFF of one another.

I agree with what you are saying about Gil needing more scenes with the guys and more scenes with Cath and him chatting aswell...

Is it definite that Jorja will come back or just a maybe? I'm really not a Sara fan, so I really hope she doesn't.

Erica! Me writing Gil and Cath being naughty? Little old me? *laughs evilly*

I want Ann Donahue back. Not only is she CG, but she's an amazing writer. Some of the episodes she's written are really just phenomenal.

And yes, Gil needs more scenes with people other than Sara. Not because I'm anti-GSR, but because he's totally cut off from everyone else - including the guys.

Ditto to what Adorable Crazy said. It'd be nice if Gil remembered he DOES have an amazing, hardworking team.

Been trying to write some fanfic lately, but all that's been coming out is ANGST. Gahhh! It ususally consists of everyone snubbing Gil for what he's done until some crazy, unfortunate accident occurs that forces them to come together again. IDK. I need new eps to flush out the angst from my system. Or some really fluffy PureJoy fics. *hint hint*

^ I think that's Anne's cue. lol. Unfortunately I haven't talked to her for a couple of days so I have no idea how the fic is going, but Jac wrote a new Valentine's fic called The Inevitable. It's not the typical Valentine's fluffy fic you'd expect, but it's really well-written and ended nicely. I'm not sure if you could read it on Graveshiftcsi yet (depends on whether Jac has posted it there), but it's on the mailing list. If you need me to email you the fic, you can pm me. :)

I have to agree, when they push the GSR, they have to push it so hard, everything else gets knocked to one side. Not a GSR fan, definitely a Cath and Gil fan, I think those are just naturally perfect together, and there's no need to try and push the relationship down anyone's throat. Anyhow, I did a few Cath/Gil shippy type avatars, thought I'd share them. Hope that's okay!

That is funny, miami fans want her to leave :lol: I actually like the cheese fest that is miami, but i think i am in the minority on this board :p

I agree, but I do hate GSR. Way to ruin a great cast. Not to mention Grissom hasn't picked up a bug in a long time. The beehive doesn't count, that was just a crappy excuse for a GSR scene. I miss Grissom/Greg scenes...they are hilarious together. And defiantly G/C chemistry...gah, what were tptb thinking? oh, wait, they weren't.

Have fun in the PureJoy thread. Yes, Cath and Gil have such a fun wonderful relationship that it's really fun to watch.
I'm hoping for some good Cath/Gil storylines for the rest of the season and into next. :)

As much as I agree, I think we should minimize ship bashing so we don't get yelled at. I enjoy what a friendly board this is. :]

Waiting for new eps is tantalizing. It seems like we just got over waiting the summer months for s8, and now we're waiting again. Oh well. The writer's strike WAS worth it. And hopefully it'll have a positive effect on our lovely ship.

Wow, I haven't been here in a while. I dunno, I think that with the strike and lack of purejoy, my interest in CSI has been dwindling (then again, it's been dwindling for a while now). The past couple of seasons weren't that great because a lot of the old dynamics were lost to GSR. Suddenly TPTB only had one priority. Hopefully with the strike, there will be more team dynamincs as well as purejoy, but I'm not holding my breath. We'll just have to see what happens.

I could really see either season 8 or season 9 being the last season of CSI. The show has been going downhill, and now that Billy and Marg are talking about leaving, it'll only be a matter of time. In a perfect world, they'd leave together, but again, I'm not holding my breath. As for Sara's return, I have read a couple interviews that made me think that if she does return, it will mean for the end of the show for me.

All in all, I'm VERY pessimistic about the remainder of season 8 and the following seasons. Hurray for fanfics and fanvids. Thats all I have to say.
