I don't think they would kill off Cath, I mean they already had her father shot, her daughter almost kidnapped and her potentially raped, how much more can she take?

I do like the idea of her coming back to wrap up Cath's storyline. I hope it involves her and Grissom and their amazing connection.

I don't think they'll kill her off either. They've given her too much angst, and she's known as one of the fans favorites, so I don't think they will do it.

If they do - I'll kill 'em!

Curious what she means by that. Is she talking about the GSR storyline? Cause I have gotten the impression that she isn't too impressed with it.

I am not getting my hopes up with any good G/C moments. The show is crashing and burning...I see a really crappy end to the season and the show.

I don't think she was talking about the canon ship (although she gives me the impression that she isn't too thrilled about it, too). The interview I mentioned, if I remember correctly, was before "canon". It sounded more like she was talking about the show in general. There were a few good storylines, yes, but most plots just fell flat. The show wasn't as interesting as it had used to be and she was getting tired. However, in a recent TV Guide interview, she said that season 8 was interrupted with the writers' strike and she'd love to return in season 9 to wrap up Catherine's storyline. I have a feeling that I know which storyline she was talking about, and I think it must be decent enough to have her want to come back for a new season. I just hope that if they decide to continue with it, they'll handle it properly. There has been too many disappointments in the past couple of seasons.

I'm pessimistic regarding good C/G moments, too. *ducks* To be honest, I'm not at least a bit thrilled that the strike is over and the show is coming back. I love my Cath/Gil, but there are many ways to get it (eg. fanfic, videos, etc). However, you know I'll be happy to see it if there's any C/G moment to come. :)

Btw, I don't mind if they killed off Catherine as long as they handled it nicely, which I really don't think they're capable of at the moment. lol. But yeah, I'd prefer it if Catherine's way out is more graceful and less dramatic. CSI's got enough drama already.

God no! Don't kill off Catherine. Instead I'd rather see that she may instead run and successfully run for mayor of Las Vegas instead or is promoted to Grissom's position when he retires.

I think it's better they keep the shippiness to a minimum on the canon show just so they don't screw it up and ruin it.

Nah I don't think that they'll kill her off either... It would be one of their worst even decisions ever in my opinion... I like the sounds of her and Gil coming back with little additions though. <3 My friend is so mean... :(

I don't think they will, either, and I think there are much better ways to have Catherine leave, but with these writers, you never know. lol. Anyway, if they can't write a decent way out for Catherine, I'll help kill them, too. :lol:

And I'm happy the strike is over too. That way, hopefully, they can write a decent storyline for Cath that involves Grissom :)

I'm sure Gil got Cath something special, and vise versa.

On my wishlist for the new eps concerning PureJoy... some better friendship scenes. Those are more meaningful to me than any of their scenes because you can use your imagination for so much more without worrying bout TPTB botching it horrifically.

I'm glad the strike's over with now too. Hopefully in the new episodes to come we'll see G/C side by side working together where they belong.

I know for a fact that Cath and Gil are being very naughty in Anne's Lyrics Series. lol. Wait, it's Christmas Day they're spending together, not Valentine's Day. Although it doesn't make any difference to them at all since they're naughty all the time and never need a special day to act on it. :devil:

Regarding the new CSI episodes, as I said in another thread, I wouldn't mind them pulling a Dallas, forget what happened in the past couple of seasons and get a fresh new start, and I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way. lol.

^ That does sound nice, maybe the strike gave the writers time to think of some good storylines... *Hopes* I like little friendship scenes, we deserves some as we haven't had any in such a long time.

YAY STRIKE IS OVER!
We can finally get back to the joys of CSI. Can't wait!

In reference to what everyone else has been saying, yeah a fresh new start would be nice. A couple of new writers would be nice too, since they'd add to the freshness of it all. Just forget about the whole Sara deal and just move on, right? She threatens to come back again (threatens..is that a bash word? i'd hope not) occasionally, and I think that just brings out ghosts, you know? People have moved on, and I think that's that.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.

^ I agree, lets hope she doesn't come back, and if she does, lets hope the GSR storyline does not continue, it went on for too long and in my opinion people got fed up with it... Time for a fresh start. :D
