Wow, that's a tough one, Anne!

Lindsey abducted didn't do it. Cath in peril didn't do it. (both in BTK)

I can't really think of something that would work. I do know that it would have to be Catherine that initiated it to get it back on the right track. She would have to be the one to say "I miss my friend". To which he'd give a clueless, puzzled look and say "I've always been here". Then in frustration, she'd run down a list of all the times in the past few years he's been lacking in the "friend" category.

I think if something like DJ's fic 15x20 would happen to Gil and Cath this season we will have our old GC back! G/C stuck in a cramped space.. they would have no choice but to talk things through. Since TPTB (and the viewers too) likes the CSIs-are-in-peril storyline just imagine how much it would rake in the ratings.. both the leads are in peril!

But it might be too much like Grave Danger for a lot of people... and we just got over having our third CSI for the third season finale in a row get over being kidnapped.
I said something in the Cockroaches thread about how the whole Warrick ordeal might remind Grissom that Sara isn't the only member of his team, and while she's left, he still has the other guys. Maybe Warrick's drug problem will also let him realize that while he's been off in fantasyland, his CSIs are still living their lives and running into struggles, etc.

LOL as much as I don't want anymore of such drama, I have the feeling that they'll eventually recycle the storyline and apply it to every main character until there's no one left. IMO the CSI writers seem to do that a lot nowadays. :p If they still manage to bring back the Cath/Gil dynamic from the early seasons, though, I don't think I'll complain. ;)

I agree with what you said about the upcoming episode Cockroaches, Purejoylove. I really don't think he had opened up after getting together with Sara at all. The relationship, IMO, actually made him even more closed-off to the outside world than ever because he was totally oblivious to what his team, his friends have gone through. Even Sara was much more sensitive than he was. lol.

I don't much more drama either. I hope that Cath can make Gris see that his team needs him. Now that Sara is gone maybe Grissom can start focusing on regaining his team and his friendship with Catherine.

I hope they (Cath/Gris) can sit down and talk about the things that happened in each other lives.
Maybe then, they can build their friendship back up.

Just my thoughts ;)

That would be good. I have to admit I'm partial to both ideas - while it would be interesting to see them trapped together for a while, I also think they need to actually TALK about what's happened between them, and what changed - and when it changed.

They're so cute together though ;)

I think having them sit down and talk to each other is the rightest thing to do. It's just lame if TPTB just do nothing about their relationship. However, I'm not convinced that they could handle it well. I want to see it, but I'm afraid they'd do a lousy job. Gosh I'm torn. lol. Although I do have this little faith that maybe, just maybe the natural chemistry between Cath and Gil can save anything. :D

Btw, I upgraded the forum script at BTA (which was long overdue) and got it a new look. :)

I loved The Good, The Bad and The Dominatrix
Cath got to 'lay into' Gil about his behavior and his 'personal relationship' with Lady Heather.
Personally, I don't think Cath would have had a problem with Gil seeing Lady Heather, I think it's the fact he didn't say anything at all that put that look on her face.

I have to say, if I was Cath, one of the things that would have hurt me the most about Gil's behaviour, apart from him being a hypocrite, would be that he was keeping things from me. His best friend and he was hiding things. I think Catherine was hurt after she found out about the relationship in Dead Doll.

I think Cath was hurt after he revealled his affair. You could see it on her face and I think that it's a pity that TPTB didn't play off of that a bit more. It could have forced them to talk out their issues and it would have given me some closure in a wierd sense. I would have rather seen them yell and slap and get upset than watch them act like nothing happened. Let the emotions out. Bottling things up isn't healthy.

Intersting point though: maybe it'll be Warrick that can bring back the GC chemistry we all know and miss terribly. Remember at the begining of the show, GC chemistry was brought on by Warrick's problems? He left Holly Gribbs alone and Gil and Cath had to deal with that and we got the first Grillows scenes. Not to mention, back then he must have confided to Catherine about some of Warrick's stuff. Can't remember the name of the ep, but she asks him what he's going to do about Warrick.

Maybe, just maybe, she can be that confident again. Maybe she can be the one to help Gil deal with the teams problems. Perhaps TPTB are trying to go back to the begining. Hopefully they won't make a mess of it.

Oooh 27dayz I love your point about Warrick bringing C/G scenes. And it's so true that his problems in the first season caused those first C/G scenes. I've never thought of this before. Great find! :)

Ok, so a Warrick-centric episode should bring Cath/Gil back their friendship. I like it!
I hope so, they need something. Gil and Cath haven't said hardly anything to each other about what has been going on in their lives.

Um...this is definitely OT. I LOVE NEW BTA!!! It looks f***ing awesome! Wow. Good work.

Warrick-centric episode. We definitely haven't had one of that in a long long time. What happens if the rock gets into trouble? Go Gil Go!
