Wow, I realy like your mom. She sounds like a brilliant woman. That just made that scene better for me.

And I like that idea about Cath keeping at him, just so he can hear her voice again. It sounds very sweet. That would be the first step in getting back to his old self.

So...it's possible that Gil is on his way back to his old self? I like the idea. lol. Let's hope when the writers strike ends and everyone is back to work, the old Gil we loved so much will be back, too.

I'm hoping Gris does find his way back to Cath. Back to the wonderful friendship and closeness they once had.
Drumchik I like you idea of Cath bugging him, but not with her words with her voice. I like him coming back to her from the sound of her voice. He can hear her calling him... OOO *plotbunny*

littlesara1, we should add your mom to hour G/C fans Hall of Fame. That's a great observation. However, I think her thoughts are too deep for TPTB. They could never come up with something so subtle as that. For them, things have to be brutish and short like life. :lol:

I just watched Dead Doll, or Living Doll, or whatever the one was where Sara got put under a car.

Gil and Cath sharing glasses = ADORABLE! And their reactions with the guy and his dummy - lol@ Catherine's "A grown man sticking his hand up a doll and speaking in a girl's voice - yeah, that's healthy"

They were really great together in this episode - but I felt tit was a pity to manufacture a "moment" with Sara for the flashback when they could have used one with Catherine a lot easier.

That being said, it's what I'm exploring in one of my fics now, so how do you think Gil would have reacted if it had been Catherine that was taken?

The Gil we all know and love would have been devestaed if it had been Catherine. He would have been panicked and scared, ten times more so than he was with Sara because
a) he's known Catherine for years
b) she was his one connection to people. She prodded him to lift his head from the microscope, she was the one who initiated his need for physical contact after ITB.
c) she's practically his wife

I also think that he would do a lot more to find her, maybe even to the point of 'going fast by going fast' instead of 'going fast by going slow'. He'd be more emotional, I guess.

- another thing would be that he'd consider it more urgent because of Lindsey.

- and she's saved his life once before. He would consider this as his chance to return the favor and he wouldn't want to fail her. He told her he "always has her back", it would be his chance to prove it.

• Burden of Proof - Catherine and Gil have breakfast at his place.
• Cross-Jurisdiction - Nice tan and nice suit.
• Lady Heather's Box - Catherine avoids Gil's comfort after Eddie died.
• A Night at the Movies - Catherine and Gil watch a movie together.
• Inside the Box - Catherine asks Gil how long they have known each other.
• Inside the Box - The hug!
• Butterflied - Conversations on the girl's patio and in her bedroom.
• Dead Ringer - Gil drives along with Catherine.
• No More Bets - Catherine blows in Gil's office.
• Harvest - Outside the morgue.
• Formalities - Catherine ties Gil's bowtie.
• No Humans Involved - Gil "takes his pet for a walk".
• Weeping Willows - Catherine and Gil in the observation room.
• Secrets & Flies - Gil tells Catherine about his father.
• Loco Motives - Catherine giggles at the crime scene and Gil asks her if she needs a minute.
• Monster in the Box - "Catherine! Layout room. Right away!"
• The Good, the Bad and the Dominatrix - Catherine gets pissed in Gil's office.

Whoa that was a long list, but it's not even 1/10 of what's really in my mind. LOL.

Hello everyone!

I am a big fan of Purejoy and I've been really dissapointed in the show since the whole GSR thing started, it's actually the reason why I started watching Miami and now I'm more hooked with it than LV. I really miss the flirting and the great friendship they shared cause it gave the show soooo much, plus their chemistry is just so natural. I really hope we get some of that back now.

So just to let you all know there's one more grillows fan out there

Second, If Catherine were buried and lost in the desert, I think Gil wouldn't have been so secretive about the relationship first of all and second of all, I think he would have been just as emotional as he was when Nicky was buried.

Erica I really like all those PureJoy moments in all throughout all the seasons. Can't wait for a new fic too.

I agree hhunter about Catherine being lost in the desert. I always thought it was peculiar that he seemed more emotional over Nick than Sara. Weird that.

Hey ya hiphugger17, welcome to the unorganized ship that is PureJoy. As Anne said, PureJoy is always there. You just need to find your way to it. Of course all of us here are, more or less, disappointed at the direction the show have been going in the past two seasons, well, relationship-wise. However, no matter what they do, the chemistry between Catherine and Gil is there, still standing and standing still. As long as you love this ship, it is canon to you.

So, what's your favorite PureJoy scene?

I would say my favorite scene is either the one were she's dressed with a really nice dress and she walks away from his office and he just stares at her with his glasses on his lips. Or the one with the tush comment. (I can't rememeber the episodes names, sorry) . Those two come to mind but there are just so many great moments between these two that it is hard to sum them up. So most probably I'm forgetting some great scene and then someone will mention it and I'll be like: "oh yeah that one too"
