Gil <3 Cath #29: PureJoy–Enough Chemistry to Power Vegas

I dunno how they should get together, but I could see Lindsey playing matchmaker. :lol: I just don't want Cath to be Gil's second choice or fall back choice when/if things go sour with Sara, you know? I think she deserves more than that. Maybe Gil could tell her that she's always been the only one he could really count on and he didn't see it before that they were perfect for each other... or something like that.

No matter what happens on screen, at least we know that the chemistry that exists between the two of them will never die.

Yeah, she deserves better that that... which is why it should be a long while before Gil and Cath can even consider getting together. *ignores grumbles from the rest of the thread* It's better that way, just so Cath won't be thought of as the second choice. Besides, they've waited twenty years, so it wouldn't hurt for them to wait a little longer. Now, we just need to get Lindsey in on the plan... for some reason, I can totally see her play matchmaker with her mom and uncle Gil!

I know what you mean Karu, I wouldn't want *if they ever get together* for it to seem like he was just on the rebound from Sara, I'd rather he waited and eventually realised that he has loved her for so long, and that she's the only one for him... Even if it took them a while, I'd prefer them to get together properly. Like you guys, I can see Lindsey having something to do with them getting together... Or maybe Greg... Hmmm... :lol:

Hmm, maybe the whole lab should conspire to get them together... after all, the probably want to see the sexual tension between Gil and Cath resolved so they won't have to see it at the lab everyday. I'm pretty sure Hodges and Greg would fight over who gets to be the ringleader of 'Operation PureJoy'... I think Nicky will be in charge though... he'll get it done while those two squabble in the background! Can you imagine all the hijinks that'll happen? I'd love to watch an episode like that... hey, who wants to watch with me? I'll even make popcorn and supply the junk food for you guys!

There actually is a fanfic where Gil and Cath get locked in a closet... I'm sure you can guess what happens. It's on graveshift... I'm not sure of the title, but it's possibly just 'The Closet' Hmmm... Erica knows, she recommended it to me, but if you find it, check it out, it's awesome.

Okay I just looked through both pages of this board several times and still can't find the Grissom/Cath song thread. So I'm going to post this song here instead cause I think it fits them (as well as many other CSI ships not just Vegas I mean).

I think this song fits them because after everything they've both been through, there will/should come a time when they will realize that they can only count on each other.

That is a good song for them....man, I just don't know what to say about Billy leaving...you all pretty much summed it up about the way I feel. At least, he may not be leaving for good. Do any of you remember back in season one when Gil was talking to Warrick I think, and he told him there wouldn't be no cake or party when he left, that he'd just be gone? Do you think he'd actually leave without telling Catherine goodbye? I would think he'd at least have the decency to tell her, even if he didn't tell anyone else because they have the most history.

Oh come on, there was to be a cake and a get together... it's Gil! Besides, I don't think he would leave with out saying goodbye like Sara did. He wouldn't do that to them, especially Cath. I would like to see a scene between just the two of them though... how do you think that would play out?
