ams, yes, To Halve and to Hold is in season one. I think it's really one of my all-time favorite PureJoy episodes. Cath and Gil acted so much like a married couple in that one. Speaking of season one PureJoy episodes...well, I don't think you can talk about the first season without the C/G dynamic. In fact, it was such a PureJoy season IMO. PMJ is a great episode along with many others, and let's not forget Table Stakes and Strip Strangler.

I just watched Table Stakes today
you do see the C/G dynamic more in Season 1 and Season 2 even parts of Season 3 ( Inside the Box )
Again, I wish the show would pick up on that more
but we know that Billy and Marg are "mutual fans of each other"
that alone should make Season 8 more interesting

Damn right she does Mr Grissom. I dunno why but I really like when he calls her 'Miss Willows' hmmm Jeez we can hope. I just like that it wasn't just us moaning about the lack of scenes G/C shared in S7. Hopefully TPTB will have noticed that too. So fingers crossed, we shall at least have some more G/C scenes in S8. *hopes and prays*

There are too many reasons to love Table Stakes. The "shall we do the room, too" line, THEIR SONG, the scene where they are examining the music boxes, the scene in the restaurant where Catherine bumps into Gil who is standing in back of her, and so many others. Oooh and "I wore nothing but skin"! I bet Gil is the only one in the lab who's seen that. Tee hee.
I do know for a fact that a lot of people say they miss the Cath/Gil dynamic, and some of them don't ship at all. I guess that says a lot. Romantic or not, the C/G interaction is one of the factors that made CSI's success and most of the viewers like it and are used to it. It is so wrong to take that away from the show. Not to mention there ARE people who tuned out because of the lack of the C/G interaction.

It doesnt make any sense at all to have the two main charactors barely able to string a sentance together, they better bring that back GRRR! I don't care if they aren't 'shippy' scenes, just bring back some form of bloody friendship. Rant over

Hopefully there will of been enough moaning in tptb headquarters for them to see where they went wrong (imo) last season.
FiveUS is showing some classic GCR episodes atm. Burden of Proof was on last night, I love the ending. Love the way Cath tells him to move on. *sigh* Jeez Griss she meant, move on to her :devil: Silly boy.

I'm not sure whether they think the same as I do, but I think there were always a certain amount of PureJoy in the classic episodes from the early seasons such as Blood Drop (probably one of my all-time top five), Strip Strangler, Burked, Identical Crisis and so many others. Again, the C/G dynamic is one of the factors that made classic CSI.
