George/Nick:Texan Charm #9

Nick was angry holding that gun on McKeen, and when people are angry and hurt - even meat-and-potatoes guys - they do irrational things. I think it probably occurred to Nick in a flash that he could do it, but just as quickly thought of Warrick and how he wouldn't have wanted it that way.

That's what I was trying to say earlier. I think Nick was pushed to the point, but either fate or some vestige of rational he had left kept him from killing him.

Oh yeah, he was definitely tempted. That's probably why his hand was shaking, he was fighting the temptation to just avenge his friend's death by shooting the slimey :censored: who killed him.

Hey all,
I rarely check in now that I can only seem to access the board from my work computer but wild horses couldn't have kept me from posting today!! George was absolutely stellar last night. Looked fantastic, wicked awesome acting. Intense! You should have heard me yelling at the T.V. -- "No Nicky, don't go into the woods." "No Nicky don't shoot him, it's not worth it." LOL I absolutely LOVED that is was our Nick who first suggested that it was McKeen who was the actual shooter. I'm sad after the episode but happy, happy, happy with George/Nick today.

That's exactly why his hand was shaking. He was definitely fighting temptation. That's what makes George such a great actor.

Now remember, even though it would be out of character for Nick to shoot McKeen, everyone is capable of killing someone. That includes, all of us, and yes, our Nicky too. And like I said before, he had to pull the trigger, he just had to have that release.

I also loved the intensity of Nick's voice when he told Grissom and Catherine it was McKeen. There was no "I think it was McKeen", it was a definite, "McKeen". Nick knew it was him and no one else. You could tell, right then and there, Nick wanted to leave that lab, find McKeen, and take care of him. I believe it took every ounce of strength for Nick, not to leave that lab and go rogue. Which, I think, added to the whole gun on McKeen scene.

And that was another great scene between Nick and Brass. Now with Grissom leaving, maybe Nick and Brass will have that camaraderie and friendship that Grissom and Brass had.

Ok, so lets get to some lighter things and some drool moments from last night's episode, shall we?

Now who, while watching the episode, was thinking, ooooh that would make a great cap? Oooooh so would that. And that, and definitely that?

Wow, a whole episode of Open Nick , tight jeans (nope not goint mention my fetish in the picture of the team. Nope, not going to mention it ), a suit, lots of chocolate, etc. etc. This episode, like Snakes, could become it's own porn.

I said it once and I'll say it again: George did a FANTASTIC JOB last night and so deserves an Emmy for his performance. Again, he was the eyes and ears for the audience. And those facial expressions? You knew exactly what was going through his mind.

Call me sick, but when he was sweating buckets holding that gun at McKeen, I was drooling..me..like..sweaty..Nicky....

Actually I liked how he looked in the alley way when they were re-enacting the crime scene..

Don't feel bad cause I was drooling too, but more so because of how angry he looked. Angry on Nicky is just so sexy. I guess it's cause usually he's just so calm natured.

Thanks for posting that Blackflag! It's about time someone noticed his great acting.

I've watching and rewatching that funeral and after Grissom says "I'll miss him" and they cut to Nick. Just him crying, putting his head down. God, it just makes me cry. So powerful.

And I agree with the article, Emmy's what else do they have to do to get you to notice. I think there were many Emmy worthy performances.

Did I mention how much I loved the scene where Nicky was holding the gun on McKeen? He looked very sexy... and his arms... muscular... very very nice. :D

My friend and I got a kick out of the whole 'McKeen' line. He said it with such force, we just sat back in our seats and said 'woe!'. There was utter hatred in his voice.

What was also incredible was how the first time he told McKeen to shut up, he yelled it loud and clear, but as McKeen kept spewing crap, Nick's changed with each 'shut up' because his sanity was breaking.

OH and I was in the Sara/Grissom thread and I caused a bit of stink because one of them said. "And Sara broke the case!". I posted. "Correction. Nick broke the case."

And as for the media-well George has been ignored by them before so it's nothing knew. Perhaps Grissom showing emotion after eight seasons is a bit of a headliner-maybe that's why its a headliner as up to know we weren't sure he had any emotions in him.

I think George should be nominated for an Emmy for this one.

And when he told McKeen to 'shut up' the third time, wow, very powerful. Just the way he said. You can just tell Nick was losing it.

I truly believe it took every ounce of strength NOT to shoot McKeen. Ok, I know the answer to this, but I wonder if they'll mention that scene or will Brass talk to him about it? Ha, who am I kidding. That would require continuity. :p

 How could anyone think Sara broke the case? All she did was go to Warrick's house and get clothes for him for his funeral. She couldn't break the case cause she wasn't even allowed to work it. So, good for you for pointing that out.

I loved that Nick was the one to figure out that it was McKeen. He was so smart putting two and two together and coming up with that. Good job, Nicky! He's definitely ready to take a stronger lead and guide the younger members of the team. :D

I agree about George and the emmy. Of course I thought he should have gotten one for "Grave Danger".

That's easy, they're GSR fans and another one just posted in the For Warrick thread and said the same thing.

Sara broke the case? Don't think so. If Nick hadn't figured out it was McKeen, and they were so determined to prove that, then the idea wouldn't have came up about checking the shell casings.
