At first I didn't see what was so attractive about Gary but seeing him playing bass...

bassists are always the coolest f*ckers in the band anyway, i think about 75% of my favourite bands are heavily bass driven so for me it's an added bonus that he plays bass and not something predictable like lead (yawn, lead guitarists are so last century). i wonder if he'd ever do a townshend/strummer and smash his guitar on the stage*? wow, that would make me so happy.

HAHAHA!!! "Lead guitarists are so last century" TRUE DAT! :guffaw: I've always preferred bassists and drummers! Like you said : coolest fuckers! And there's nothing like the sound of bass. I just hate it when bands try to cover it with the sounds of guitars and shits. WTF are they thinking. Bass FTW!

damn i wish i could photoshop well enough to swap strummer for gary!

* i realise townshend and strummer were leads but even so, and anyway i'm sure entwhistle did it too, it was a who trademark - the clash only adopted it!
