ha yeah, I saw it today too...some parts of it were so funny, and there were some parts where the whole audience just gasped or screamed...
Overall It was a good movie, but yes, it was rather long...I sat in that cinema for 3 freakin' hours

Hong Kong really sucks, POTC is gonna be out on 3 Aug, but i guess i can watch it a bit earlier, since my sister works in a film company that distributes Disney movies. Every year, i get to see a few Disney movies before they are released!!!
I can't wait to see it!

Awws, that's nice of your sister Tink (unless of course, you don't wanna go with her, but that neighbour of yours instead ).
Well, DMC was ace! I prefer the plotline in the first one though, because I found it was more straightforward. I found the plot in DMC a tad overly-complex, which made the film lag a bit in one or two places, though to be honest, I didn't really notice the time because I was so glued to the screen
I won't say too much, because I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet. I thought it was pretty funny throughout, and I liked the development on the Will/Elizabeth/Jack thing though I think fans are going to be quite divided on what will or should happen with this in the third movie.
The soundtrack was cool, though again, I think I prefer the one from the first movie. It still think it was good, and will probably buy it in CD, but it just didn't have that 'Ommphh' factor in it that made me sit up and notice the soundtrack in the first movie.
A fantastic swash-buckling sequel, and a great job by Gore and his team(s). Praise to them for making a sequel that lives up to the first. Definitely the must-see movie of the summer in my opinion. The CGI is amazing, and Depp is on top-form as usual This man is God when it comes to acting - he has the part of Jack nailed perfectly. I don't know how he does it. I could never act that well :lol:

seriously, i dont think ive had such a good time watching a movie in a while. it was so funny, i was laughing almost the entire two and a half hours. not to mention a giant snort when the theatre was silent :lol:
the effects and make-up on the flying dutchman and davey jones crew was amazing, i dont even know when it was real people or animations. johnny was fab as always, his face 20 feet tall makes up for siting in the second row. i cant believe i have to wait a year for the next one. what will i do with myself until then????

in the special they were saying they spruced up the ride quite a bit apparently Now it includes Captain Jack, Captain Barbosa and Davey Jones
apparently they shut down Disneyland for the premier so it was quite a big deal
oh and to whoever asked if Davey Jones was real or not he's played by Bill Nye but they digitally enhanced the face so its a bit of both

Yeah, this has to be the best film of the summer. Even though it was 2.5 hours it was awesome and I must say that it was better then the first one even though the plot wasn't as good. Johnny Depp is god and I just adored him as Jack Sparrow. He's hilarious! Will Turner bugged more then last time. Speaking of which...
The location of the film was stunning. The water and the beaches were breathtaking. Oh, and the special effects were so realistic and whoever was in charge did an excellent job. The music added really good suspense in relation to the scenes and elements in the films. Overall, just a really, really good film. You must watch it soon.
