"Fannysmackin" Discussion **SPOILERS**

The writers really do a great job in getting the viewers to care about the characters, and that is their goal, not to have viewers think, "It's just a show" and plus, the way they've written Greg, with all these little asides he lets out about the coin collecting, the braces, the full academic ride at Stanford, these little things, plus the way Eric shows the characters empathetic side, you just feel for that character, and seeing him hurt like that, they really want to ellicit those feelings of feeling bad for him, to almost wanting to protect him, and after all those promos, you do..it's going to be so hard to watch because after all, IT'S GREG!! He's just so adorable, so--I don't know how to put this, sweet?? you just can stand to see anything bad happen to him.

That episode, I'm looking forward to it, but still at the same time, I'm almost dreading it.

is the promo online anywhere other than the cbs site? for some reason my computer doesnt like that site. when the promo for btk was on youtube it worked.

i agree with what you said about parents (and freinds who arent into it) saying its just a tv show. i hate when they do that. i can go on and on about it, and even my friend who got me into it in the first place says "shut up, its just a show" my mom never saw it, my dad may have seen it, but wasnt impressed enough to remember (hes the law and irder type) and he didnt recognize the pics i showed him last time he was here.

parents dont get thise things. my parents are used to it with me though, cause ever since i was really little, i would take one show seriously, until it got cancelled. but that doesnt make them understand.

Well, I didnt catch my mom hinting that she was really into an show before. I was telling her about the promo for like the 4th time and I said im totally gonna cry when I watch it, so if she wants to see it in silence, to not watch it with me. (I also said Im gonna be screaming at the tv.) And she said, well now you know what it feels like to really be into something.. Other times she would be crying in an episode of a show and id be like.. Your crying?? And then laugh.. *blushes* My bad. :p But then I was like, Oh!!! See!! Now you understand how its not just a tv show to me! :D

thats cool that your mom gets it :)

other than one friend here who us into it (not as much as i am, but she is involved) and my friend who got me watching, who likes it, but hardly knows the characters names, my other friends here (in my country) dont watch. mostly they are respectful of my craziness even if they dont understand. everyone has something, nomatter what it is, so csi is my thing :)

My mom don't understand either. I <3 Greg!!! Can't wait for Thursday. I might be getting a job and had to tell the people i coundn't work nights so i can see it, i'll have to tell them i can work nights after Thursday. I'll be bawling like a baby.

The promo for Fannysmackin is on Youtube...it's titled "CSI Las Vegas Promo".

I can't wait to see it. I hate the thought of Greg being hurt but at the same time it's exciting. I hope the make-up aspect is realistic. What I mean is he will be brutally attacked by several people if he just ends up with a black eye or something that's not realistic. Not that I want to see that georgeous face messed up but I want realism!

I totally understand Wojo, that's why I was thinking if the bruises will still be visible at the inquest, or when he returns to work, how do you think that will go, the only time they ever addressed Nick going back to work was at that scene they were investigating, with basically one line..I'm wondering how this will play out when he does go back to work.

There is that mixture of excitement, dread and nervousness about that episode, no matter what, I still can't wait to see it and see Greg get that storyline and see Eric just totally kick it and show off his wonderful acting skills.

No problem! I've watched that promo like a million times! I can't wait for the epi to air. Only...3 more days, yay!

I just watched the promo! I can't help but feel terribly sorry for Greg- all I wanted to do was help him when I watched that. Gunna be a great episode.

My parents definately get CSI. They don't like it quite as much as I do, because when I like something, I LOVE it, and they aren't the same. Some of my friends don't get it though- although two of them do. I talk about CSI with them and just explain it to the others.

Yeah, my parents like it, well my dad does. But I'm the same way, only I get obsessed with one thing at a time. This one thing, being Greg/Eric, has lasted a LONG time so.. my parents just roll their eyes and make fun of me but its ok.

And my friends.. haha not one of them likes it like I do. i talked to my friend Jess about it, but not very willingly. She just calls it my nerd obsession and listnes to me go on and on. Lol, gotta love her. The funny thing is, I'm obsessed with because of a guy.. I don't know but that sounds like a normal 15 year old girl to me... :D Well, pretty much

if greggo wasnt there would you watch?
i think that i would watch nomater what, but it wouldnt be the same for me without david. he wasnt there in the first couple seasons, and i loved them anyway though.
i love csi, becasue....well, everything about it :D

is the promo on cbs longer than the one on youtube? its only 30 seconds!

Hmm.. if Greg wasn't there. Well, I probably would, but I wouldn't be obsessed with it like I am now. Its a good show, but its Greg/Eric that makes me watch every Thursday and its him that keeps me on this site..

See, like during the first few seasons, I never noticed Greg but I still watched when I could. But when I noticed him, I made time for it.. I guess that is what makes the difference.

Now, if they ever decide to kill him off, it may take a while before I can watch it again if ever. But the show is really good.

Yay for fannysmackin'

I've watched it since the Pilot, I was going to tune in before I ever even knew who Greg was..but then came that Pilot and Greg and he soon became my favorite. And my parents I got them into it from that first episode as well.

If Greg wasn't there would I still watch? I do love the show, Greg is a major part of that, if the epi's are good, I'll tune in, but at the same time, I might view it the same way..still, it also depends on if he wasn't on just how the left too, if it was done properly and with maybe a mention in the epi's after, I'd be fine with it, if it wasn't, I'd probably watch with a skewed feeling after that.
