Eva/Natalia #2: History Aside, She's Making a Good One!

I'll put it this way. As far as we know Speedle knew Natalia before he knew Eric. We're not sure exactly when but I would venture a guess that Speedle met Natalia before or very near the time he became a CSI, perhaps when he was still a street/patrol cop. Eric and Horation may not have been in the picture yet. So, the question I would ask is the following: Could have Speedle met Natalia when Nick Townsend (a.k.a. Natalia'a now-dead ex-husband) was at the height of his abusing Nat?

This to me seems kind of logical. Could it be he was the officer who arrested Nick for when he broke her arm, or the investigator who was involved in the case that put Nick behind bars. Perhaps Speedle convinced Natalia to testify and get he help she needed to leave Nick. Thus, in apprectiation of Speed's help, Nat tells him what she does for a living. Voila!! Speed's connection with a DNA specialist from the FBI is then born!

Not only that but if Eric was to realize that Nat knew Speed, they would have something that Eva said was missing from the relationship. I'll put my thoughts about this on the EDEN thread.

I wish I had more info on timelines just to see if periods of time matched up.
There's a great deal of vagueness around when Nat left Nick, when Speed started with CSI, etc.....

I don't have a single lick of envidence about this! It's pure, unadulterated speculation on my part!! It's fun anyway though!

There's a big 'IF' that goes along with all this, & it has something to do with Rory. More in the spoiler reply.

ok, first off, there may be a chance that Rory Cochrane turned this down. The updated spoilers do not mention Speedle. There is also the chance that Natalia may not be in the flashbacks at all now either. Apparently there is a casting call for a female FBI/DNA expert who Horatio will have connections with who helps him with the '97 case. NOW, we never know, there's still a chance that Horatio meets Natalia in the past through this other woman, but as of right now that's uncertain.

IF this 'Speedle' thing goes through, then I honestly don't have a clue as to how/why they met. Nick would seem like a logical reason, but I always had the impression that her abuse started later in the marriage & that he went to jail (& the divorce) just a short time before Natalia arrived in S4 (she told Eric she hadn't been with anyone else since her divorce, so Im putting together that it hadn't been a huge amount of time since her divorce was final). Anything is possible though - tptb sure do like to rearrange timelines :shifty:

I suppose it's always possible that Nick hadn't become too terribly violent at the time she supposedly met Speed (IF Speed even shows in this epi), maybe it was just an arguement that lead to him getting more physical & she called the cops on him. Considering we don't know a whole lot about Nick & Natalia's marriage, when they got married, when they divorced, when & how long the abuse lasted - anything is possible. Though I will say that it all could just be our imaginations running wild, cause the previous spoilers sounded as if they just met through some work thing, but ...we never know. It'd be nice for them to take it into a new direction, but probably incredibly hard to do considering this man is no longer alive. I guess we'll just have to see if this Speedle thing pans out.

Hopefull the speed thing will pan out. 've always gotten the impression that Nat was divorced from Nick long before she came to the lab in S4, but then again you never know because she did seem so scared of Nick when he came back in S5 that the divorce could have still been fresh. Who knows with TPTB and their timelines.
 
^^^ Well, & you have to think about the amount of time Nick was in jail. I don't know how long those sentences usually are, but I wouldn't think they'd be sentenced 7 years for spousal abuse. I don't know, I just always had the impression that it was still pretty fresh in Natalia's life (the abuse/divorce).
I also always wondered if it was maybe an illegal mess (theft?) of his that put her in the mole position. A "guilt by association" situation? She get's fired from the FBI, maybe even faces jail time, or she takes this other "job"? So many darn questions, & no answers! :confused:
 
I just wonder if this will take out more of her screen time. I wish they would show her more though! She deserves it. I'll be so mad if she doesn't get any screen time. I think this will stur things up just a little bit for everyone! I guess we'll just have to wait and see! All this talk is makin me want to see the episodeee! Mrs. DelkoWolfe your story is amazing by the way! =D I can't wait to see what you have comin next!
 
She looks beautiful as always, & I adore her for staying so fit at this young age but I just hope she doesn't get too skinny. Eva has beautiful curves & she carries them so nicely. I can't wait to see her on Miami with her new bod this season! :p

I think Eva just gets prettier every season. I can't wait to see her this season.!! I highly doubt she'll get too skinny. Besides what would Eric have to look at if she did?
 
Strange as it seems but many of my favourite episodes have Natalia in them even though H and Frank are my fav characters. I would say Triple Threat is the best and the ending when she outwits the triplets was excellent.

I think Nat will have a good season this year, but I'm really curious to see what tptb do with her on the field & with her gun. We haven't seen her really have to use it much, so it's hard to get a feel for how she's doing with it, or what she'd do in a tough situation (I hardly count 'tunnel vision'). She's that kind of person who I think would totally dwell over it if she was forced to shoot to kill, even if it was self-defence, so I'd love to see her have to go through something like that.

Wow that's Super! :) I think someone should tell the writers that a key ingredient to a good CSI-M ep is to have lots of Natalia :)

I think it should be justified to see Nat on the field. Let's have her switch places with Delko so we can see progress on her character.

I agree completely. I would really love to see Nat and Yelina work together. I think they would be an awsome team working together. Both have a no nonsense attitude, both of them could in a way be considered in love with a man they ccan't have at the moment (Eric and H), both are extremely beautiful (and Yelina's accent is wonderful), they have both also been in a abusive relationship (Stetler and Nick); in which case they have both had the one man their in love with save them. Not to mention that when they are pissed it is suggested that all spectators run 100 yards away!:p

Those are just my thoughts.
 
I would loove to see her & Yelina share a few scenes. They do have a lot in common, & they both have that drippy sex appeal. After seeing what Yelina did with the Russian mob guy, & seeing Natalia fool that funeral dude, I think those 2 would make one hell of a team undercover. :p

If those two were undercover I would start fearing for the criminals!!:lol: Can you imagine the beat down they would give trhe bad guys?:p

Ok so after reading this I'm really hoping for some major screen time for our girl here. Nat needs some drama to put her in the limelight since Calliegh has generaly sucked it up for eveybody since season 5 (post Delko getting shot). Eva is a very talented actress and she has been sitting in the background for far too long. She's part of the main cast and yet she's only had two storylines. TPTB are missing out on may golden oppertunities with her. However if the script changes and Nat is taken this could be a chance for her to show what she's really made of in a sense. Calliegh uses her gun every episode almost and Natalia has only used her's once I think it's time that Nat used her gun more often. Anyway I'm just hoping this gives Eva/Nat the screentime and attention she deserves.

:lol: I just posted a fear in the spoiler thread about this.

Natalia is ALWAYS in the lab, but I swear I will flip if they convientantly have her out on the field for this hostage occasion. :scream:
So far it appears that there will be a guest star, a CSI receptionsist who is actually the one taken hostage, so I don't think we'll see Natalia harmed, but for this scenario I would like to see her involved, getting out her gun & getting into the action.
This is one time I'd actually LOVE to see it played out the way tptb do thier usual pattern -- Natalia is in the lab, as well as H leading the interogation, Kyle is in the morgue - Eric, Calleigh, & Ryan are out on the field -- typical right? Well, what a perfect time for them to have a lock down in the lab where the other teammates can't get into the building & thier stuck wondering the fate of Horatio, Natalia, Kyle. I could possibly see some team effort on both parties if played out correctly -- here's hoping. :thumbsup:

Ya'll had me hoping she was gonna get kidnapped! Oh well screen time for her is like waiting on Christmas every new yr! So maybe it'll be this season when that opens up for her! I hope it does! I miss seein that beautiful face on my tv screen every Monday night! She is seriously due for some screen time! Are you listening TPTB????
