Good morning everyone :)

Welcome governess :)

Before I post the theme winners and send a handsome guy on his way, I'll weigh in on posting winners. When it's my theme to select the winners, I go through all the pictures and post the one that goes WOW to me. The picture may be one of my favourites but it may not be. I will also try to pick someone that hasn't won in a while. That being said if the last winner picks the picture I like I won't hesitate to name that one as the winner. This after all is a game and in a game you have a winner and runners up. We all have busy lives outside of talk.csifiles and for someone to be able to post a few pics is better than keeping everyone waiting another day so they can post all of them. So as frustrating as it is for some I like the way the game is played. Lets not keep lists of who won and how long ago. Again this is a game and in a game there will always be runners up and 1 winner :)

Stokes4Me I read somewhere that Eric referred to his dress style as punk with a side of preppy. I think this says it all :)

Dizzney I love the look on Greg's face here. He would rather be doing something else and I'll leave it at that :devil: Also honourable mention to your Greg taunting Jacqui pic. I love hanging around the lab with the guys :)
egeria so very close to the winner here. I think this is the defining episode where Greg lost his innocence :( Just a loverly cap

But I'm going to go with twitz as the winner with this. I love the intensity in his eyes here. I'll also you give you an honourable mention for you picture from A La Cart with Nick giving Greg the confuzzled look :) So enjoy you Greg time Sue :devil:

This is the exact point I have been making that the same person or people winning all the time is a major factor in turning others off to playing the game. Nor does it really give anyone else a fair chance, since someone else could have posted the exact same photo and haven't won as much.

As I stated earlier honorable mentions w/o a link is not a large thing to ask that could happen. It doesn't hurt to at least try to include everyone who took time out of their day to participate. I think keeping a tally of who has won is a great idea, then perhaps it would be clearer as to there the patterns are circulating. Since this has been talked about already and is still continuing. And yes it's frustrating especially when equaling the playing field is more inviting to everyone.
 
Sara without trying to start a major war here, I think you've said you piece. We know you are upset but this is a game and you're the only one that seems to be having a problem with it. Life isn't prefect but I suggest we move on and continue to enjoy the game :)

There is no reason to be nasty about it, I am allowed my opinion and suggestions. Change is not always a bad thing.

Perhaps I am the only one who feels comfortable speaking up.

Hiya folks, okay can we all step away from the keyboards for a moment and take a deep breath and just relax. True that everyone is allowed to have their opinion, and true they can make suggestions on ways that might help improve the game. What has to be remembered is that the suggestions need to be digested, need to be thought on, and need to just be given time for folks to look back and see if it is something that can be done or would it even work.

The fact is I see both sides of the dime on this one, I also stayed back to let you all try and work it out amongst yourselves, but the tide is staying in a one way flow if you will, there is no turn to it, give and take. Some are either getting offended or defensive, jumping in to defend or what have you, or to the point upset just because of the tension.

No one is against anyone having something to say about the game or how they feel everyone should feel they can say something. But there is a difference between getting something off your chest and being stubborn, the problem here is both is being done. As I mentioned in the opening what needs to be done is for folks to step back and relax.

I am not about to yell and scream at anyone, so anyone thinking "Crap I knew I was in trouble as soon as I typed that" :p then you would be wrong. If tension is build whether you realize it or not tends to need to be released, and the one thing this forum is good for is allowing that and beinging or trying to be understanding with the circumstances or situation (which ever you preferre to call it) while being supportive and knowing that no matter what a game is a game and at the end of the day it's a game based on one common theme Eric/Greg, you all love him and you all celebrate him, every game can be tweeked here and there, but that doesn't always happen over night, and sometimes it happens without people realizing it did.

This doesn't mean you can never openingly say something or suggest something (as long as you stay with in the rules of course) but you too must be open to said suggestion, advice, response, reasoning, etc. give and take is a wonderful thing if you are willing to relax and listen and remember the internet is a wacky little thing, what might be meant as compassionate, or understanding can be misunderstood, and what might be meant as offensive or defensive could too be misunderstood.

Now in saying that I think the arguement has gone as far as it can go, if given a little time for folks to just gather their thoughts, and again relax maybe later on (a week or whatever) it can calmly be revisited in that relaxed respectful and understanding way. ;)

See that didn't hurt to bad did it, you all thought I was going to smack ya and again :p you were wrong.
 
Fear the dino. haha! That's an excellent caption for that pic. Someone should seriously put that on an icon/banner with that pic. :D

Hehe, it does look like his back went out. I got that "I've fallen and I can't get up" commercial going in my head when I saw that pic. :lol:

That one pic looks like he's saluting someone. :lol:
