Yeah, GSR was a bit of a disaster for a long time. They dragged it for too long and in the end nobody cared. And for what? It's not like the relationship takes from the show. As far as I'm concerned, they usually only get like 2 seconds of screen time.
I think season 5 is perfect, but also kinda dangerous. The show could still go on for years, how do they keep it fresh? I guess they could explore the tribulations of being married to someone you work with, but that has the potential of becoming rather trivial. I don't know. We'll wait and see.
It would be kinda ridiculous and out of character for them to sink the ship, though. I mean, with Eric and Natalia... Natalia's a moron and has no self-respect, so it didn't surprise me that she kept hanging around Eric. But if it were Calleigh... I don't think it would be that easy, for the both of them. Kill the ship and I think they would also kill the friendship, and I don't think that's something they wanna do.
