Eric & Calleigh #19 - Spontaneous Nudity Bound To Occur

God, I miss Tyler. Cooper sucks. I'm gonna write a fanfic involving Tyler. I could so see him and Valera joining forces to bring E/C together.

Poor Eric. He didn't even react to the site, though. He was just standing there and she started yelling at him. Heh. That scene was hilarious. And Tyler's face is the best part.

And Calleigh yells at Eric for knowing there are porn sites out there, and yet she parades in front of him with all that cleavage. It's like, she's the only one who's entitled to titillate him.

Midnight you should totally do a fic revolving around Valera and Tyler trying to get Eric and Calleigh together b/c I could soooooo see the two of them teaming up to get them together!!! GO FOR IT!!!

I just saw 'Internal Affairs'. It wasn't that good, and there was far too many guest stars hogging the screentimes and not enough of the main cast, but at least when Eric and Calleigh were on screen they were together. The focus on the show should now hopefully shift from Snake drama to Eric-centric angst. I'm still really looking forward to what's coming up. There was definate touchage in the first scene. It was so unnecessary too, Calleigh does love to invade Eric's personal space.

Oh, and I hate Jake. If he's coming back, I want Eric to argue with him and shoot him down the way H did.

I seriously love Grand Prix for that reason!! There was absolutely no reason for her to step that close to him when she said 'maybe you're not asking the right way.' I mean she gets any closer and he would be able to jump down the tank top!! Plus you gotta love the look she gives him after the race car driver offers to show her his car! It is such a 'ha someone likes my cleavage' look! :lol:

Grand Prix is ridiculously cute. Again, she was totally invading his personal space when she stepped in close to him, and the little look she and smirk she gives him when she delivers that 'right way' line. That was open flirting if there ever was any.

Speaking of cute, I am watching 'Invasion'. I love the scene where Eric gets her to smell the burning ropes. The way she smiles, laughs and says 'Eric!' is so sweet. Then later on the scene where she chases him to the elevator because she wants in on the helicopter ride. You know she thought because she has him wrapped around her little finger he would let her tag along, and he probably would have, if he didn't like teasing her so much. I bet he did take pictures, most likely far more than necessary just to please her. As much as I love the angst, I miss them being so cute. Hopefully since Calleigh seems much happier recently, and the way they always light up around each other, we might get that back soon. After 'Man Down' of course, when their friendship, in the words of Corey Miller is 'stronger than ever!'

 

We should be able to make a title out of that "maybe you're not asking the right way" line. Do you think it had double meaning? I also took it to mean that Calleigh would say yes to Eric if he asked her the right way. Dunno.

Invasion was mega cute. They were acting like a couple of teenagers in love.

I never thought about there possibly being a double meaning, but now that you bring it up, yeah, I can definately think it's a possibility. Maybe she could have been hinting at something in the past. Is it possible that Eric could have tried to ask her out before and it just didn't come off the way he planned? It could happen, Eric is usually such a smooth talker with other women, but with Calleigh he nearly falls over his own feet. That's another thing I love about these two, they both have big reputations for one thing or another, and they hide behind those facades often, but with each other they just can't. They have a special connection, where they can see through each other so clearly. I mean, they both try and hide things from one another, but they can both read each other so well, even if they don't exactly know what to do with the information. They have such a vulnerability around each other. Maybe that's one of the things that scares them the most. Calleigh especially, she needs to be in control. I dunno, it's certainly possible I guess, there was definately something...knowing about his look.

Part of their complex relationship is that they are such good friends. If the writers don't intend to get Calleigh and Eric together or have them have a meanginful relationship then they would have slept together a long time ago. Think about it, Eric has no bones about sleeping with women anonymously or having a one night stand and Calleigh is no mary sue character. So based on that they would have gotten together long ago but it seems the writers don't want to do that 1) because even if they had slept together/had a relationship and the broke and then the writers decided to rekindle it; it would seem to soap opera-ish 2) the writers, when they get them together, want them to have a deep seeded relationship, can't have that if they aren't close friends....it creates a sense of tension and real life realization that 'wow we've been best friends for years we know each other better than anyone...so lets take it to the next step'

Hasn't anyone had a best friend of the opposite sex who they eventually ended up dating? Well that is what I meant by that long winded rant!!

 

No, but I've had best friends suddenly declare that they're in love with me, and it really, really sucks. It's terrible. You can never go back to being friends. I don't even talk to them anymore .

So I certainly understand if the reason why they're not together is because they don't wanna lose the friendship. The problem is, you can't keep your feelings a secret forever. Sooner or later one or the other is going to snap.

Exactly. You can't hold that kind of thing in forever, it must tear you apart. It'll get to the point where friendship is just not enough. In fact, if they keep drifting apart the way they have been over the past few years, there will be no friendship to lose.

One day something's gonna motivate one of them, and make them realize that they just can't keep on like this. It's got to feel so bad to see the person you love every day, and not being able to be with them, touch them, hold them, make them happy. Eric and Calleigh have reached the point where they can never be truly carefree around each other anymore, because it's always in the back of their minds. There's always an elephant in the room. It must pain them that they can't be the same way they were before. Like you said, you can't go back with something like this, eventually they're going to move up to the next level, or their relationship will just fall by the wayside.

Dammit, now I feel like crying [/pathetic].

 

I don't think, even if the writers tried, they could throw this ship to the wayside...it has become a way too big established story thread. They will eventually get them together, writers don't like to leave open storylines and this would be a big one. (I'm just hoping it isn't in the series finale!)
