I can make some, and then you guys can snag.

8 days till Christmas. Are we doing the challenge? It's such a tradition, it would be a shame not to do it this year.

I can't believe there are 8 days til christmas!! I didn't do the challenge last year but I am game to give it a try...at this point any E/C fics would be great...I need a fix!! Especially since these two SCREAM for fics to be written!

Hellooo all! I've been away for ages because we have no new CSI over here and I'm all burnt out of inspiration because of it, but I finally got to see a few S5 eppys and I'm back again. :D

I was wondering what you guys think of Jake? He's very nice to look at and all, but he better stay away from Calleigh. I can totally see Eric getting overproctective of her around him. I think it would be too much for me to handle if they got into a fight! Now that's hot *drifts away into fantasy*

Well, we need more people to suggest elements. So far we only have a cranky elf. We can't do it without the elements, so get suggestin'!

Welcome back, Ali!

I don't really trust Jake, and I don't trust the writers to make him stick around. There's already been some anvils about maybe him getting involved in drugs. I just can't see Calleigh being with him long-term. What if he does get into drugs, though? Ew.

I'm kinda torn about Jake and Calleigh. Part of me wants to see it, because we may get some Eric jealousy and overprotectiveness, but the other part of me doesn't because I don't want to see Calleigh get hurt again, because more than likely she'll turn into uber-Robot Calleigh again, just when she seems like she may be opening up. Having him hurt her again could be a great way for them to get the E/C ball rolling again, but I don't trust the writers with Calleigh in really emotional situations.

I think he'd lose some of his hotness if he gets into drugs, but he does give me that kind of bad vibe. All Calleigh's past boyfriends have sort of had that going on, she needs to realise that a good guy is what she needs. Besides, I'm damn sure Eric has a naugty side anyway, we've seen the way he looks at her when he thinks she's not looking. (.)(.) :p

They might not even hook up at all. Calleigh might just be there for him as a friend. But yeah, Horatio seems to think that Jake is bad news. And when Horatio thinks someone is bad news... yeah, he's always right.

It would be interesting to see Calleigh's reaction. When she found out about Eric buying pot, she totally denied it and didn't believe it. Actually, it seems like every time something happens to Eric, she gives him the benefit of the doubt and goes to him, whereas with the others, Ryan, mainly, she expects them to be screw ups. So if she hears Jake is into drugs, will she react the same way she reacted when she found out about Eric?

I really feel like watching season 1.

^ I've been watching Season 1 all day, so many great eppys :D.

I don't think Calleigh will give Jake the benefit of the doubt, because he's clearly hurt her before, so unless she starts to fall for him and that causes her to be kind of illogical about the whole thing, I can't see doing that.
*sigh* When you bring up things like that, it just makes me realise how much Eric and Cal are meant to be together. I mean, unless this is some big elaborate plot they've had from the start, which I highly doubt since the Miami writers have proven time and time again that they're not that smart, there's just too many coincidences with them. Like how they are always there in the important moments, how Calleigh always gives Eric the benefit of the doubt etc. and we know this isn't done purposely because TPTB havr said before that they aren't planning anything of the sort. It's fate damn you! I tell ya it's fate!

I'm seriously starting to think that this season and next are our best chances of going canon. The writers felt Season 2 was too early according to Adam, well GSR only held out until S6, so it's time for them to make the damn jump!

In Adam we trust. And what does Adam want? Some Emily thrust.

I agree, we really can't complain too much about the E/C stuff we've had, because there's been little of it, but the quality has been awesome. The trust line alone, come on. I know Calleigh trusts Horatio as a cop and a CSI, but as a man? I really can't see her going to Horatio for anything personal. I doubt she trusts Ryan at all, I think she sees him as a younger brother who's always screwing up and messing up, and his arrogance is a huge turn off. It just seems different with Eric. He's the reliable one and the one who won't betray her trust. She told everybody off after Hagen put a gun to her head, but Eric was the one who didn't let her push him away.

So I do have faith. The writers recognize the E/C potential and know they have chemistry, so I'm gonna delude myself into thinking they're saving the best for last.

Do you all rememeber the episode, I am guessing from season 2, where Cal walks into the lab where Eric is in and he asks her if anybody else is around or something and she says, "Nope. It's just you and me. Just you and me." What eppy was that? He seemed sort of like "Good.hehe."

Really? I don't remember that moment at all. And I have season 2! I should pop it in the DVD some time.

Death Grip is still one of my favorites. Jealous Eric is the best thing since chocolate covered Eric.

Mm, chocolate-covered Eric. I want!!

Who else would Calleigh ever trust that implicitly? You get the feeling that Calleigh hasn't really trusted that many people in her life at all, and for her to basically trust Eric with her life (not to mention her heart...come on, we're getting there!) is just huge. And it just proves that she knows Eric. She knows he's more than this playboy kind of guy he tries to be. I just don't see anybody else placing that kind of trust in him. And then you go back to the fact that it's Calleigh, who doesn't trust anybody else like that. And then you just have to wonder, for them to know and trust each other so deeply, how can there not be anything more than friendship there?

I'd say there could be friendship, but the writers have done little to convince us they're just friends. There's so much sexual tension and innuendo, it's impossible to see them as just friends. Every time I try, I think of that scene in Simple Man when they hug each other and then Calleigh pulls away quickly and Eric goes this disappointed head sway. You could practically hear him thinking, "every time I get really close to her, she pulls away."

Do you guys remember that scene that got cut in 48 Hours To Life? I'd give anything to have it resurrect some time this season or the next.

Damn, chocolate coverd Eric? I can picture him wresting Cal in it now...

Yeah, Cal trusts Eric. They actually seem concerned for each other. Ryan just seems cute and sweet and I can see the chemistry but Cal with Eric... Eric knows what he wants and so does she. Eric will get down with it.

Eric and Calleigh are totally like Jim and Pam, and Ryan is like Dwight. Jim said something this week about how there are all kinds of relationships, fun and distracting, but in the end it's always about 'that one girl', and it reminded me of Eric and Calleigh. In the end, they always keep going back to each other.

It also reminds me of that DMB song: I remember thinking sometimes we walk, sometimes we run away. But I know no matter how fast we are running, somehow we keep, somehow we keep up with each other.
