I can imagine Eric saying everything from 'I like you' (now, that would be an understatement of the year) to 'I love you'. Imagining Calleigh's response is much more difficult. She's tends to play close to the chest and we still don't know how much her near death experience is going to change her and in what way. I mean, she will probably realize that life is way to short and that she should be with Eric and fully use every single day of her life, but I'm not sure if she'll open up enough to say something like 'I love you (too)'. I could imagine 'I have very strong feelings for you', 'I want to give us a shot', 'I'm sorry for not letting this happen sooner' (this one is when they get together)... I'm just not sure how far the writers will go, and how far they can go without doing something that is out of character. But, then again, we don't know what will be in and what will be out of character after the next episode.

I can imagine the next thing happening:

Eric comes to visit Calleigh in the hospital (and brings the flowers, of course). He tells her how deep his feeling are, that he wants to be more than friends, that he's sorry for not telling her sooner... She brings her hand to his cheek and then somebody (Alexx???) interrupts them. Latter, somewhere at the end of the episode, we see them leaving the hospital together, and she takes his hand and threads their fingers or something like that. That way, he said what he feels, the interruption gives her the time to think about it without running away and she makes the first physical contact. What do you think?

I think this is more likely than a kiss :scream: unfortunatly. Cause the writers will probably try to drag this out. However, I am hoping that they will not and we will finally have some E/C action.????

I'm sure we'll see a kiss at some point, I just think it's not very likely in the next episode. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't want it. I'm still hoping it will happen. Maybe he'll start babbling how mush he wants her and she'll shut him up with a kiss? A girl can dream, right?

'm sure we will see a worried Eric. There is no way he will be able to hide his concern regarding her situation. It will be that concern that, IMO, will get him to do what she has been waiting for him to do; tell her how he feels. :D

11 Days! to go!!

Yeah I can't wait to see worried Eric. I wonder what he'll say and how :).

I wanted to ask the group a question. We've discussed how/what we think Eric will say when he talks to her about how he feels, but what do you all think will be her response? How do you think she'll react, what do you think she'll answer, will there be a kiss initiated from her part, some kind of physical gesture...???? What do you think?

I have been thinking about it recently too.:)
I don't think she will kiss him. I guess it's just not in her nature to do that kind of things. Maybe if he will tells her finally how he feels, that he's in love with her and he wants to be with her, she admits that she has feelings for him too. But she wasn't sure about his feelings for her and that's the reason why she didn't say anything. And maybe they will hug or something. Or maybe he'll kiss her.

I do think that they will kiss after this conversation, but as to who initiates it... I don't know. If I had my preference then Calleigh would initiate the kiss.

Just my opinion...

Here's what I'd like to see happen. Eric, disturbed that he almost lost Calleigh, without her knowing how he really feels about her, goes to the hospital and beings to tell her. He doesn't ramble, but goes on for a little while about how he feels and finally she says "Shut up... (which earns a shocked and sad look from him) shut up and kiss me", so the look on his face turns from utter shock to a huge smile, and of course, he does kiss her. Or, instead of her saying "kiss me", she shuts him up by grabbing his face and kissing him. Yeah, I think I like that better.

Dude... here we are almost at post #500, almost half way through this thread. I bet that the discussion when 7.14 airs will necessitate a need for thread #33! And I also bet that episode gives us the new thread title (something one says to the other).

Very interesting thoughts from everyone :D

Here's my take:

Eric arrives flowers in hands and sits down besides her and asks her how's she's feeling. He then starts rambling on about wanting more about how he knows it's a risk but he's willing to take it because he knows how much it's worth it....suddenly she interupts with something like I know it is and he is like what? and she goes that it's worth it and smiles and looks at him the way she does, and if the writers are up to it, they almost kiss but... Alexx comes in and interrupts. Though I really don't think we'll get a kiss not even an almost kiss till further down the road. So probably after she says this she just looks at him and smiles (maybe places her hand on his cheek, please?) and Alexx comes in.

Still, her interrupting him with a kiss while he rambles nervously about how much he cares for her would be the best scenario :D:adore:.

Okay, I think that when Eric finally takes the plunge to talk to Calleigh he's going to be pretty straight forward about it. I believe that he's trying to "court" her by buying the truffles, and I won't be too surprised to see him bring her flowers when she's in the hospital. Once he gets it in his head that the moment has arrived then he's going to go for it all the way. I do think that they will kiss after this conversation, but as to who initiates it... I don't know. I agree with you. I think that Calleigh should be the one to initiate the kiss. i just really, really hope no one interrupts them again. Some people have the worst timing. (Yes, I am talking to you Frank)
I do have a feeling though that Alexx may walk in on something...that would be too funny. But then again she might just walk back out and come back later because she knows that they've been building up to this moment for 7 long years.

Considering really all SHE seems to be waiting for, is for him to say the words....I think she will be taken a back by what exactly he has to say and will be able to do nothing else but kiss him! :D ;)

In all honesty, I think it will be her turn to be a little speechless. We don't really know for sure if she really is ready to hear what he has to say; especially if it is that he wants to be with her. We know, to this point, how he feels. We have no real indication of exactly how she is feeling. We know she cares about him but to what depth? That is something we haven't seen or heard from her. Actions speak louder than words, yes. She has lied for him several times, been there for him etc. But she is putting all the weight of the decision to be together, IMO, on him by asking him to tell her what he wants. What about what she wants?

Ya know is this going to be one of those situations where b/c he wants to be with her, she is going to be like ok lets date? B/c it is something HE wants. I just feel like everything concerning them is all left up to him. Don't get me wrong I WANT them together but I also think it would be nice to know and hear where she stands and what she wants.

So my ideal scene would be for him to tell her how he feels and then for her to turn around and do the same...it would also be nice to hear her admit that she is scared about starting something. Cal has never ever admitted she is scared of something (other than ants ;) ) So it would be interesting to see if she admits that the reason she has been hesitant is b/c she is afraid. ;) It would also be nice to hear her express her emotions...it would be nice character development for her.

I highly doubt it will happen but one never knows with this show ;)

I am speculating that Calleigh's near death experience is what gets Eric to finally speak what's in his heart. He's going to think about how close he came to losing her and while she's in the hospital he'll tell her how he feels.

This is what I think: Calleigh will begin to choke, and Eric will help her in some way, basically freaking out. I think that when she's in the hospital, Alexx will of course talk to her, and I'm thinking eric knocks on the door with the flowers. Alexx smiles, and lets them talk. After being shot, calleigh being kidnapped, and the thing with Jake and Eric's family, Eric will realize that after Calleigh almost dying, he cannot wait any longer for her. Of course, this episode could go down thousands of ways, I just really hope what we've been waiting for happens...they cant wait any longer after her almost dying and him almost dying. No. That would just be stupid :p//I'm ready!

I think all of your guys' theories and predictions are really good! One thing that I'm definitely hoping for is that Alexx helps everything along. It's going to be great seeing her again, but it would be even greater if she was somehow involved with Eric and Calleigh getting together. And of course, I hope Eric brings flowers... it would be nice to see some continuity between episodes. As some of you have said, I also hope that Calleigh is the one to initiate any type of physical contact. It would be nice to finally see her embrace the idea of having a relationship with Eric. Man, I cannot wait to see what actually happens! It's going to be epic.

I agree. I'd like to see her initiate the first contact. I like your idea too. I personally think that we propably won't see any kissing till he gets out of the detention center at the end of 7x16(?) Divorce Party(?).

I think the only time we got any real indication of her feelings for him was that scene in My Nanny in which she reacted to Eric saying he was waiting to find "the right girl" to have kids with. The look on her face said it all, the idea of anyone else being "the right girl" did not set well with her. Jealousy toward a girl that didn't exist yet.

Remember how we were told that Calleigh's near death experience in this episode changes her thinking? I forget the exact words we were told, but essentially her nearly dying will be the catalyst that changes their relationship. This leaves me to think that it may be Calleigh that actually goes to Eric and tells him how she feels, before he has the chance to tell her.

I honestly need to stop reading these threads. :guffaw: There have been probably over 50 different predictions, and I love them all! Im just so anxious for this episode, and how the rest of this season will play out with calleigh almost dying and eric in the detention center. :(

Everyone has such great ideas on what will hopefully happen a week from Monday. Countdown is on...

I am really hoping for a heartwarming moment between Eric and Calleigh because they are long overdue for one. Something to make your heart melt because in the end these two do deserve that happy ending. I really do hope that Alexx is instrumental in them finally telling each other the obvious because I am sure she has known forever how one another feels for each other even if they just realized it themselves. I'm tired of this will they or won't they game. Step up and take what's yours already!

Going back to the TVguide interview it made me laugh when Emily said that he was ready to tell her how he felt and she went off with the other guy. :scream: I was like aha! I knew that is what that phone call was for. I guess if Eric has waited this long to tell her, what's another couple of days for him. Meanwhile that is torture on us.

Hmm, interesting. I hadn't thought about the possibility of Calleigh taking the first step and telling him how she feels. But as you say the spoiler does make one think that could happen. It would be interesting and a really cool twist on things. I can just imagine Eric's face like, what just happened????? And so all he has to do after is kiss her :).

Oh and can I say that the way she whispered his name in Burned was also an indication she felt something more than just friendship :)? I mean I don't whisper a friend's name like that just cause his my buddy...
