Police Officer
The team was acting like Horatio would if it were one of them in his situation: concerned, yet stoic and focused on the job.

Yea I know. When Ryan said that I was like whoa. They remembered. And something that happened in season four too!By the way, I was rather shocked that we got a mention of "Nailed". We don't usually get a lot of continuity on this show, so that was nice to hear lol.

ladyjr8: but I guess running up for group hug while dangerous criminals run loose would be an extreme in the opposite direction. Great acting all around and love Horatio diving in to save Nat...the season is off and running-literally!
I agree with this. Also, someone having as much trouble breathing as he was would not have been able to hold his breath as long as he did, or be able to pull out the backseat, in order to save Natalia. Yes, I know this show is largely fantasy-driven, but it has to be believable. And IMO, this wasn't the least bit believable. It took "Superman" Horatio and turned him into "Superman dosed with Kryptonite" Horatio . . . but it's still Superman, performing superhuman feats. As others have noted, I was shocked that members of his own team weren't the ones to rally around him. I know he's always played the stoic role, but still. Enough is enough.OMG, that was NUTS. OK, the idea that Horatio could get up with a gunshot wound, jump in the ocean and save Natalia--maybe, just maybe I could buy an adrenaline rush. Maybe. But that he somehow managed to walk around for the whole episode, wheezing and sputtering... come on. That's ridiculous. Just ridiculous. He would have never been allowed to leave the hospital. Had the show had an iota of realism, he probably would have been passed out by the time he got to the hospital.
although I didn't think Nat was around when Ryan got the nail in his eye.
Natalia joined in 4x01, Ryan got 'Nailed' in 4x08

Let's not forget the countless number of times Eric was shot in the HEAD and survived. Speedle dies because of a lousy technicality with his gun. Jesse falls and hits his head. But when Horatio and Eric (even Calleigh and Natalia) get shot, drown, etc. they survive by possessing such magical powers.
This show, man. This. Fucking. Show.

Eric was shot once in the head. And it's a show for a reason, if it was 100% realistic it wouldn't be very entertaining.
