Emmanuelle/Angell thread #1- Detective "Angel"

I really like her she's merged into the team easily but she has the rapport with both of the guys (flack and danny) which is really nice and you don't see that much with the other detectives they bring in. she must be in for a long stint since they bought in her background.

As always, I really liked Angell in the episode last night, and it was nice to see her compassion for Danny. I thought the way she brought it up was just right.

Every Tuesday in my local paper they feature a section of big events that have recently taken place & this past Tuesday, they featured a photo of Emmanuelle at the invite only Agent Provocateur party. It was held at the new Agent Provocateur in downtown Vancouver. It was only a headshot of her with another celeb but she had her hair back & she looked really pretty, as always. There was a caption too & if & when I find the paper, I'll post it. It's nice to see that she's back in her hometown :).

i liked how last week Angell was a bit flirty with Flack at the end. that look when she said she knew a good place to was "yeah how bout we go to me place" haha.

Emmanuelle reminds me a bit of Vanessa Ferlito in some ways with her looks. i think it might just be the hair lol. as much as i love Vanessa i think Emmanuelle is prettier and she reminds me of some other actress but i can't think of them.

i'm glad that the writers are trying to pair Angell and Flack and that's it not just some random person brought in for that sake. at least Angell is someone we know. i hope this bumps her up to recurring roll or maybe one day opening credits (yeah i know Sid needs to go first as well as Adam).

i've liked Angell since she came on the show last year, it's cool to see a female detective that can hold her own.

I totally agree. They do need to make her a regular, however they have to do Adam and Sid first. I have loved Angell ever since People With Money. I always wondered why they never paired her up with Flack on a case. I guess they were just waiting to pair them up. Keep up the suspense I guess...

LOL! I know! I want this more than Danny & Lindsey! Oh, and I was re-watching "All In The Family" yesterday, and I noticed that I had the same shirt as Angell! I was like OMG!It was only like a minute, but it was when she brought the brother in. It was a long-sleeved shirt with a glittered pattern on the top. I thought it was so cool! I was like, OMG! So I have been telling everyone. I am such a nerd!LOL

well i think she is so sexy!!! and sweet (my new word) pics of her.. it makes my nasty mind go crazy .. and yeah i do play for both teams..  i do lov the scene with Falck and Angell in episode 7 (cant recall the name) in season 4.. good they were cute and flirty in that one.. it one of my fav scene this season.

i'm sure someone has noticed this and maybe posted it on another page but Emmanuelle was on "The Handler" in one ep... same show Hill and Anna were on before NY. just thought it was interesting.

i looked Emmanuelle up on imdb the other and i saw that she was on Veronica Mars. i am a huge Veronica Mars fan and i cannot think of who she was. i have the dvds so i'll have to go back and watch it lol.

i've probably seen her so many things but just never noticed.

Angell's been mentioned a bit over in the Flack thread and I thought it was a good time to resurrect this one so we could have a little bit of discussion about her.

So far we know that she started working solo in "People With Money" (I believe that was what was implied), so she hasn't been a detective all that long. We also know that her father was a detective sergeant (according to the spoilers for "Commuted Sentences", I can't remember if that's what they said in the episode itself) and that she has four older brothers.

So, do you think she went into the 'family business', as it were--sort of like Flack did, following in his father's footsteps? Or maybe she was the exception rather than the rule amongst her siblings? Do you think it was hard for her being an (extremely :p) attractive woman trying to be taken seriously as a cop?

Also, I made a macro with a picture of Angell yesterday and thought I'd post it. :p

I'd love to see her talk about what it was like being a girl on the force and growing up in that sort of household.

I do think that her and Flack are cute together, but I really think we need to see more of her. WHen she first arrived we only saw her in random eps at least this Season we're getting to see her abit more.

I can see her following in not only her dad's but her brothers' footsteps. For some reason I just see her as coming from a whole family of cops.

I also think it was hard for Angell to be taken seriously because of her looks and also possibly because her family was over protective when she first became a cop. But she doesn't take any crap from anyone, and comes off as very intelligent; so I think she earns respect pretty quickly.

I can definitely see Angell coming from a family of cops, yeah. One thing I really love about her is that she takes no bullshit. I like how she holds her own against suspects who are trying to be tough and the ones who hit on her. And I freakin' love how she stopped the guy by kicking the garbage can over!

But as cool and pretty as she is, Angell's very real. She doesn't give herself airs or seem to have any unappealing arrogance or anything. She's so likable. I hope the show didn't lose Emmanuelle to a movie or something like that during the strike. We need more Angell!

I too think that Angell is probably from a family of cops, I can imagine that at least a couple of her brothers are cops too. Yes, she is a very attractive woman, but as everyone has said, she is tough so I don't imagine she has a problem, at least not amongst other cops. From the friendly banter 'Angell's got her wings' stuff in People with Money I think she's probably had her fair share of jokes with the guys and handles it it the best possible way. I guess as long as she is a good cop, and shows it through her work (and she seems to be respected in that way) then she wouldn't have much of a problem.

Not to dwell too much on any potential relationship that might develop between Angell and Flack, I do definitely think I could imagine her more with another cop than with someone who doesn't understand the job or the lifestyle. I'm sure there are lots of men who would find her very intimidating.

I really hope that Emmanuelle stays around for a while, it would be a shame if she left. Here's a couple of screencaps from 'Playing with Matches':
