Chapter 17
Natalia walks into the room and runs her hand up the side of his bed. And she starts crying. Kaydence was looking from the window outside of the room. She put her little hand up on the window.
"Please don't leave me and mommy, daddy." Kaydence said as she let a little tear fall.
"That bullet was meant for me." Natalia whispered to herself.
Sunddenly she heard the machine go from buh-beep buh-beep to beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
"Eric, Eric...." Natalia said as she shook his arm.
"Don't you leave me. Not like this. I'm pregnant Eric." Natalia said as she took his hand and placed it on her stomach. She could feel the baby moving inside of her, and she closed her eyes hoping, praying.
"Daddyyyyy....No!" Kaydence said as she placed both hands on the window and started to let the tears fall.
It made Natalia jump slightly at the sound of it. As she looked over to the window she saw her little girl crying and Ryan and Calleigh comforting her.
"I love you." Natalia said as she got up and started to walk towards the door letting every tear fall that she could.
Suddenly the machine went back to buh-beep buh-beep, and she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Natalia?" Eric said as he rolled his head over and opened his eyes to look at her.
"Eric?!"
"Did I hear you correctly? You're pregnant?" He said as he could barely talk and his hand was still placed on her stomach and he could feel the baby moving.
Natalia smiled back at him and leaned over and kissed his lips.
"I'll take that as a yes." He said smiling back.
"Yes."
Eric scooted over as Natalia crawled up into the bed. As everyone walked into the room, Ryan picked Kaydence up and put her up on the bed too.
"Daddy!"
"Hey, baby."
"I love you." Kaydence said as she hugged her dad.
"I love you too!" Eric said as he hugged her back.
"Guess what?" Kaydence said as her eyes got big and round.
"What baby?"
"I'm gonna be a big sister!" She said with a big smile on her face.
"I know!" Eric said as he looked at Natalia.
"Hey Kaydence, you wanna go get something to drink?" Ryan said as he pointed outside the door as he knew she was gonna drive him up the wall before it was all over with.
"Yea!" Kaydence said as she hopped down of the bed and ran out the door.
Ryan and her left and went to get a drink.
"So how are you feeling?" Horatio said as he walked to the side of the bed.
"Tired but I'm ok."
"Ok well you need to get all the rest you can so I will leave you alone."
Horatio said as he turned his back and started to walk out.
"H..."
"Yea?" Horatio said as he turned around.
"Thanks."
"Ericcccc!" Marisol screamed as she ran into the room making Eric, Natalia, and Horatio jump.
"Marisol, lets let him rest. You can come in later." Horatio said as he stopped her from running over to the bed and jumping on it.
"But, but....ok" Marisol said as she hung her head low.
"You're welcome Eric by the way." He said as he walked out and shut the door behind him and Marisol.
"Well, I guess I need to let you get some sleep." Natalia said as she started to get up.
"I can get some sleep with you right here." He said as he pulled her back down.
"Are you sure?" Natalia said in a seductive voice.
Eric couldn't help but laugh.
"Yes, I'm sure." He said as he pulled her into his arms.
And within 5 min they were both asleep wrapped in eachothers arms.
Kaydence came back and Ryan helped her back up in the bed again and she too fell asleep in her mom and dads arms.
