Debate/Dislike a Ship Thread -- CSI:NY

Thanks for adding 'Dislike a ship' to this Kinkapoodles.

Okay, I'm sorry but I just don't/can't see Adam and Haylen together at all, much less any time soon.

And it's not because I'm partial to pairing them with someone else. They don't (seem) to have any chemistry at all. Plus, why in the world would you want to date someone who wants your job?? Surely TPTB can think of a better way to set them up.

Okay, polar opposites can be perfectly happy together. Okay, enemies can become friends. But this...this is pushing it.

I don't know, maybe I'm just missing something. Honestly, I'd rather see Adam alone than in another rushed romance.
 
I'm going to second you on that CandyCoroner about Adam and Haylen or what ever he name is. I don't like her. They don't have any chemistry and she is too pushy for Adam. He had WAY more chemistry with Kendall. ;)

Which brings me to...

Adam/Stella. I know it's been a while since we saw them in bed together. I read some spoilers about how they were going to get together somehow. But I have to say, I liked what I saw on how they did that. It wasn't graphic or overdone. Just two people saying they needed each other for one night or possibly more. I like that better than seeing couples all 'lovey-dovey' with each other. That's why Danny/Lindsay is sort of a turn off for me.

The problem I do have however with this pairing is that if he has been pinning for her since season 2 and NOW suddenly she gives in knowing that they work together and everything that goes along with that...and.. she's his boss, well I have a problem with that. It's too much like Gil and Sara from LV. She pinned for him for YEARS and he 'gave in' so to speak even though he was her boss, etc... I don't like Gil and Sara as a couple and that's why I don't like Adam and Stella as a cannon couple. Stella is very independent and strong. Going out with someone that has a crush on her a way makes Stella look a little desperate but again that's me. ;)
 
Its funny how people have different perceptions of things.. I like Adam and Halen:lol: I thought Kendall was abit "Snooty" to Adam. I think they will make for some good storyline as Hawkes said.."This is going to be good"! Adam is always good in situations like this. Besides who said they were going to be "Love interests"?

This has been my whole problem with these two. Little boys have crushes(as you well stated) and Adam just seems way to immature for Stella. It just looks stupid to me and makes me wonder why they would have Stella who they portray as an independent and strong woman sleep with the lab kid?
 
Again, different perceptions. I actually like Adam/Stella, sort of. If it is only a one night deal, or just a short time thing I can deal. But Having the two together long term I think would only cause problems.

Like you said LadyHunter, they are a little like Grissom/Sara. Both of them working at the lab while dating would only cause problems, and may result in one of them (probably Adam) leaving the lab. So the long term thing I don't think would work.

As for one time or short term, I think Adam is good for Stella. After a string of pushy men in her life (and by string I mean Frankie and Drew), having someone sweet, innocent, and laid back as Adam is refreshing. And well, Adam doesn't seem to be suffering from their one night either. Sleeping with the boss lady has given him a ton of confidence, which I hope stays. He's going to need it now that Haylen is working in the lab :scream:.

But I think part of Adams charm is his insecurity, to a certain extent. As far as Haylen, she is pushy, but Adam did refer to her as hot!! He cant be to mad at her:lol:
 
I don't really know what to think about Adam and Stella, actually I can only see Stella with Mac. I have to admit the scene we got in the premiere was a real surprise- I never saw that coming at all! Then again that happened a couple of times to me with this show. :lol:

I have no idea if I ever posted in here. And that after over two years. :lol: So for the case I didn't, my favourite ship is Danny/Lindsay. And also my only ship. It'd take ages to explain why I love them together, let's say I love everything about them. :lol: I also like SMacked because I think they have great chemistry. Same counts for Flack and Angell, although for some reason I like them better in stories than I liked them on screen. They also had some nice chemistry though. Apart from that you could call me a 'friendship shipper', if that makes any sense. I love the friendships between Danny/Flack, Flack/Lindsay, Hawkes/Danny, Hawkes/Lindsay and especially between Lindsay/Stella. And to add to this nice list, I also have a little threesome obsession. :p

So, to come back to the topic- dislike? I don't really dislike any ship so far. I can't really see Stella and Adam happening. About Adam and Haylen I can't say anything at all so far because I barely got to see anything of her yet.
 
New to the forum, thought I'd add my 2c. I don't see Stella and Mac or Stella and Adam as good matches. I don't get any sexual chemistry from either. Besides, if any of the potential couples turn out like Lindsay and Danny, I'd rather do without them. The police work is enuf to hold my interest.

Hi, my first time in here. :) So many ships I haven't thought before. :lol:

I ship no one until now. Just wanted to see a solid episode based on case that makes sense(seriously. :lol:). I don't like DL. Mostly for the fact(in my head. :)) that DL damaged both of Danny and Lindsay's character terribly, and beyond repair. The presentation of their relationship is just cheesy like harlequin romance novels's, which is hard to be taken seriously in a crime drama. I think it could've written better. But it's just not. :(

Mac and Stella's friendship is beautiful and very interesting :adore: except for one particular episode(GFD...:(). But Smack probably overwhelm the show itself because they are the leading characters.
 
i believe TPTB have learnt enough from DL's Harlequin story:lol::lol::lol: (That was a good one!:lol:) to make the same mistake with Mac and Stella

Melina and Gary have a real chemistry and we deserve to enjoy that through their characters on screen:)

Even non shippers have admitted it:p

That's why i do want them together. If they manage thier relationship with intelligence they have a gold mine in their hands:drool:

Non shippers have agreed they have chemistry, but not romantic chemistry. Putting the two leads together on this show would be the kiss of death. They're way better as friends and colleagues and nothing more.

since there are at least 2 non shippers i guess you can't talk for both of you
The main reason they claim is the fear of a similar DL type of relationship so i bet TPTB have noticed this and they will work on this when the time for Smacked comes ;)

Well, I guess there are at least 3 of us. I'd like Mac and Stella to remain just friends. Why is that a bad thing?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen a non-shipper say they have romantic chemistry. And also, the main reason I've seen for why people don't want Mac/Stella together isn't related to DL. If I can't speak for anyone but myself then you shouldn't either.
 
#4 non-shipper here. I've never interpreted the chemistry between Mac and Stella as romantic, but I guess someone could if they chose to. I think they work much better as friends and I don't think the series ever had any plans to put them in a relationship other than friends since the beginning of the series. If they want to let them ride off into the sunset together, that's fine, but do it in the last 10 minutes of the last episode of the last season please so I don't have to watch it for any longer than that.

PA--->I never mentioned romantic chemistry, you did. I only said "chemistry" because reading comment from most of fans outta there you can find lot of people saying they do have chemistry. Only they want or they don't want together, that's the only difference
and yes, ONE of the reasons is the DL fiasco according to what i have read and then you (In general) claim other reasons

i have watched a show where the romantic relationship was solved in the last 10 minutes
I Have watched a show where the romantic relationship was developed since the beginning
and I have watched a show where the romantic relationship was developed with just one member of the pairing after waiting and waiting and waiting "because it's too soon"

And let me tell you, results you got from those shows where you had to wait until the end didn't work because when you have two incredible artist like Melina and Gary with such enjoyable chemistry is a complete waste, not only for shippers but for the show too

The type of chemistry i am talking about is the one that doesn't need to be written because it's there, it does exist. And personally i would love our writers use it to develop a little more the relationship between Mac and Stella. Because there is nothing forced in there. Mac and Stella have been friends for years, both of them are single, Stella has been there for Mac when he needed and Mac has been there for her too. If you ask me, they wouldn't need to write too much to put Mac and Stella together and it would be more realistic than any other romantic relationship we have had so far in the show ;)

Anyway, i respect your opinions but of course i don't share it ;)
