read it on stv a few minutes ago television premiere date so maybe it's only for the first one september 23 criminal mind 8 pm csi ny 9 pm

Weird... I can't imagine they'd put Criminal Minds at 8pm. Maybe it's the Central time zone times?

I'm in a central timezone & CM comes on at 8, NY at 9 -- it's always odd to me considering CM can be much more gruesome. Curiosity is peeking though, is the schedule changing?

That pic is hilarious. Nice to see one from the set, too!

I wonder if that's the scene where Hawkes goes to pick up Danny from physical therapy. It totally looks like Hill is leaning over Carmine... makes me think Danny is in the wheelchair.

From TVGuide.com's MegaBuzz:

You guys mentioned a while back that CSI: NY producers were planning to bring back Reed, Mac's stepson, and Sam, Flack's sister, this season. How's that going? — Clarisse
ADAM:
Not too well, actually. Executive producer Pam Veasey tells me that ebb and flow of story ideas in the writers' room just haven't ebbed back toward those characters. But don't give up hope. "These two characters are always on our minds," Veasey says. "And if they do return this season, it will be quite riveting."

They're "always on [their] minds," but they can't be too arsed to write stories that include them. But if they do get around to it it'll be teh awesomesauce. Color me unimpressed.

*watches Reed and Sam fall into the Black Hole of Continuity*

*yells into the abyss* Tell Louie we said hello, you two!

It would be a pity but i remember it was said some weeks ago Sam only would be bring back IF they had a solid storyline to do so.
Regarding Reed, awwww :/ He is as solid character as Sam is. But it doesn't mean we won't have them

It would be very nice to have them back this season but at least i expect a good storyline for both of them :) If it can't be this season then the next one ;)

Besides it's very interesting they weren't included yet considering they were appreciated by the fandom. It means there are powerful storylines in the background being developed :D

The Black Hole of Continuity is getting a little bit overcrowded lately, isn't it? Who knows? Maybe Ella and Reed can meet there and give Mac a step-grandson.

Maybe tptb need to stop trying too hard to make the storylines for these characters riveting. Personally I don't need to see them coming back for some big drama-filled storyline. If that's what tptb want to do then it's little wonder they're struggling to find the right way to do it. There's only so many times you can link a main character's relatives to the crime.

They have a perfect opportunity to bring Sam back, even for a moment to show support to Flack in his grief. They have a perfect opportunity to bring Louie back (assuming he's still alive) to offer support to Danny in his recovery. Sometimes the simplest storylines can be the most powerful.

^ Amen!
But you know how TPTB sometimes are all for the flashy stuff. They won't be back unless they can be involved in a massive dramatic arc.

THIS! I'd say more, but you said it perfectly.
