You can watch the promo here on the CBS CSI: NY site, if the site loads for you... ;)
It's quite confusing but I think it's obvious that Mac will be the hostage...

*shouldn't have clicked! shouldn't have clicked* lol.

I still haven't watched last night's episode. I was chatting with Fay and everyone when they watched it and then when it came on my time, I fell asleep. :p

So it looks like from the preview that Mac is going to be the one taken hostage? Though why if it's only Flack with him in Chicago, do we hear Danny--and maybe Stella, I can't remember--calling out for Mac??? That was definitely Danny's voice in the preview, wasn't it? Do you think the whole team is going to end up in Chicago?

Yes it's Danny. It was his voice. Not sure if it was him, or someone else running ... I think it's him.My guess, they all end up in Chicago. Mac is kidnapped and Danny is looking for him.
And that train scene. It was Flack, Stella, Hawkes and Lindsay in the train. Stella is telling Danny : that's Mac stalker. They seemed trapped. It kinda looked like the 4 of them got trapped in the train and Danny was running after it. Or I'm just going blind. :p
I'm telling you, the most confusing promo ever!

Daliymotion Vid Promo

a better link for the promo if cbs is annoying for you like it was me.

I get you Lorelai when you say its confusing least it shows who the hostage is, and it makes sense at least that part but are they all in Chicago now, thats the part i don't get.. or does he come back.

I would love if Mac were the hostage. He seems so on edge and vulnerable with this whole 333 thing that seeing him held hostage would be great. And it would make for some great acting from Gary. And I love Angsty!Mac. If it is him, it's such a shame this season's so short because we probably won't get to see much of the after effects. Also, if it is him, it should make for some great moments between him and Stella. Drew's gonna regret messing with Mac like that...maybe Stel will drop down commando style from the roof like she did in the elevator in SD, land behind Drew and go Super-Rambo on him. That would be awesome.

*tackles and huggles*

So much energy exhausted in chat, then just flopped into bed. ;)

Oh wow, just watched the promo! Looks like it's definitely gonna be Mac. I think this is a great move by the writers - they've never really placed Mac, the leader of the team, in this kind of situation - usually it's him saving or helping to save his team from some bad thing. It should be interesting to see them save him, and see how it affects him in the future. It's nice that it's a guy being taken hostage too. At least we know Mac makes it as he's in the following eps. Typical Mac- get stalked, get taken hostage, go back to work. The only thing I didn't like in the promo is Mac saying 'It's all about ME.' I love Mac but when the writers give him this line or something similar repeatedly throughout the season - we saw it in the last ep with the puzzle, and in the ep when he told Flack about the 333 case - it really makes him look like a narcissistic (sp?) ass. I know that in fairness it IS all about him, but really, must he keep saying it? Mac, sweetheart, we get the idea.

Heck that promo was one gigantic headache! I had to keep on pausing to figure everything out! I agree that it seems to be Mac taken as hostage. Well, at least it's not Stella nor Danny. Danny just went through that in Snow Day and that would just be too much if it was him held hostage again! As for Stella, she's been through too much already with all the domestic abuse she suffered under Frankie.

I don't think the whole gang will be in Chicago. That would just be too much of a stretch. Besides, wasn't it just Gary Sinise and Eddie Cahill from the regular cast who went out to Chicago to film some scenes?

At least next week we finally get to see the 333 story line reach its conclusion. I was getting bored with it.

Yes they were the only two who went, but they only filmed the outside scenes, so technically the rest of it was filmed as usual in LA. So everyone could be there, but there would be no reason that they would be, and it would be completely ridiculous.

I'm not surprised that it is Mac that's taken hostage. There was a slight reference in the original spoilers that it was mostly likely him, but until someone actually definitively said 'hostage' you wouldn't have guessed that was what was going on.

I'm not sure, but whilst Mac and Flack are in Chicago there isn't anything to indicate either way that the 333 stalker is actually there, even though I assume he must be. I'm going to stay open minded, but I guess all the action will take place in NY if the rest of the team is involved, maybe Mac chases him back to NY. (The stalker called Mac and asked how it felt to be home, so he's either following him to have known he was in Chicago, or he and his special powers should be in an episode of Heroes and not CSI: NY).

Anyway, to be honest, I'll just be glad when it is over. No more annoying "It started in London..." speeches or flash backs to Mac ignoring his ringing cell phone, or answering it in an angry voice. I'm sure Mac won't suffer too much at the hands of his stalker, after all he seems fine in episode 11. Continuity? I've learned to no longer assume such a thing exists.

From what I could see of the promo, Mac gets knocked unconsicous and is later tied to a chair. There are these motion sensitive lasers surrounding him, and there's a shot of a rifle firing, so I guess it's been rigged so any movement would cause the weapon to go off. I also saw a clip of the rest of the team going up a flight of stairs(presumably the building where Mac's being held) and them opening the door and someone(Danny?) yelling "NO!" as the gun goes off.

That's what it looked like to me, anyway.

^^ Ok, after a fast reading of the previous posts, I can't help it but feel the nervousness growing and growing inside of me. It looks like the end of the 333 case is going to be a real <<boom>>!. I mean, it's like if TPTB were fooling us all by saying "you thought you've seen how far can go the 333-stalker? so you don't know anything".

Mac tied up on a chair with rifles aiming at him? Can't wait to see it!! Luckily we are just five days apart from the 4x10 (who is the most positive one?? XD )
