CSI:NY Season 4 Spoilers--Get 'Em In A New York Minute

Yeah, Danny is kind of the Marsha Brady of the show, but I do love that it's a guy and not a girl that's the damsel in distress on the show. And if people are worrying about Danny in 413, maybe it is a cumulation of bad things that happen to him in a short amount of time.

But it wouldn't be bad to see Hawkes get a storyline, and I think he'd be pretty cool under pressure (in a way we know Danny wouldn't be).
 
What's bad is that I didn't even think of Hawkes at first. I thought 'Stella, Danny, Lindsay'--and he was an afterthought. A main character shouldn't be an afterthought. :(

He really needs to get something. Hawkes doesn't get nearly enough love on the show.
 
Hawkes would be nice. He deserves some action. I hope it's not Stella. Don't wanna see her hurt again. It's enough for the next 5 years with what they did to her in All Access. But, it's still gonna be good if it's her. I'm sure Melina will do a fantastic job. It wouldn't be the 1st time she makes gold out of dirt.

Well, I want it to be Danny. :p What?? :lol: I swear it's not just the love I feel for him talking. Being in danger suits him. ( not to mention it makes our hearts melt like nothing else) Second, like Top said, could easily be a cumulation of bad things, too much adding up that leads to 413. As we saw from 323, *why do we do what we do* and 408 *all that misery for 35 Gs. it’s pathetic, isn't it* he's already a bit shaken up. So, if TPTB do this right it could be an amazing storyline. Not to mention Carmine would shine, as always. ;)

And frankly my dears, there can never be too much Danny!
 
Being in danger really does suit Danny. It's something about the way he reacts, that combination of bravado and vulnerability. He's the perfect character to put in that situation because you get the most bang for your buck out of it.

Sounds like it might be one of those cases where somebody walks into a convenience store while it's being robbed or something like that. I wonder who it is--other than Mac or Flack, it could be any of them. If they're going for a full breakdown with Danny, it could be him, but I wonder if that would be viewed as too much Danny stuff in too short a time. Still, I kind of hope it is him--it would be interesting to see Danny pushed to the breaking point in a short period of time, and Carmine could do wonders with that storyline!

Any other guesses on who it might be?

I'm going with Stella cause there is already a connection between her and Mac's 333 stalker so that part of it has to be resolved somehow

I'm gonna take this in a whole different way, look at the sentence in a different way "While he's there, however, trouble plagues the New York team when one of the members is caught in a hostage situation." So while Mac and Flack are in Chicago trouble plagues the New York team, Mac and Flack could be considered the New York team, since they are in Chicago. Or by New York team, they literally mean the New York team, as in everyone on the New York team, in that case anyone who is a part of the New York team could be the one in the hostage situation.

I'm completely open for the idea of Lindsay or Hawkes, more so Hawkes because he hasn't has something really big like that happen to him, he just had that thing where framed. I don't want it to be Danny or Stella though, Danny has already been taken hostage before. And I just don't want it to be Stella, they should give her a story line that doesn't threaten her life!

I'm really looking forward to this episode now, maybe the promo after Wednesdays episode will shed some light on to who it is. lol although, since I live in Canada I don't think I'll get to see a promo, but CTV did air one last week after Buzzkill.

You mean either Flack or Mac could be caught in a hostage situation? That's a valid interpretation (although IIRC, earlier spoilers seemed to imply that it was in NY the hostage situation happens)
I'd actually like it if it was Flack the one to be taken hostage. He's always the rescuer in these situations, the one that goes in with all guns blazing. For once I'd like to see how he deals with being the one having to be rescued.

(COTP doesn't count, since he was out of it for most of the time!)
 
I think it will be one of the team in NY. I'd like it to be Danny - Carmine just acts those kind of situations so well, and it would add an extra Danny-Angst factor to the following episodes, or Hawkes because he deserves a decent storyline. Plus, if it was one of the team in New York, we could see how Stella, who is presumably left in charge of the team while Mac's away, would deal with it (c'mon , TPTB, we want Rambo!Stella), and how Mac and Flack would feel not being there at the time to help.
I just pray it's not Stella because I'm sick of her being the victim.
 
I don't know--I think the description makes it sound like it's happening back in NY, which wouldn't involve Mac or Flack.

I can see the case for it being Stella, but I'm with MacsLady--it's much more fun to see Rambo!Stella and I really don't want to see her victimized again.

I also kind of wonder why Danny is home in 411 to take Ruben to church--time off due to emotional/physical distress, perhaps???
 
Interesting. It does sound like something's gonna happen to the reimaining members of the team who are in NY, which would make the "B" story.

Now, considering Stella's had the creepy-Drew storyline I doubt it's her, and I seriously hope it's not Lindsay, which leaves my boys Danny and Hawkes. Giving Hawkes some interesting material would be nice, but putting Danny into this kind of situation... priceless. :D

Can't wait to find out more about this!!

^^ Interesting, interesting! About the hostage situation in 4x10, my bets are on Hawks and Linds.

As some of you have already pointed out, Stella and Mac are so involved on the 333 case that add to the list an hostage situation, seems to me a little bit too much for them.
In addition, Danny was not that long on a hostage situation during Snow Day and he is going to get involved on the Chil's play case.
So it leaves Linds and Hawkes. I can't decide which of those two suites better on the hostage situation, but since neither Hawkes nor Linds haven't had that much action during season 4, my say-so is, no matter if it's Linds or Hawkes, as long as it's one of them.
