CSI: NY Season 4 Spoilers! Discussion in the Big Apple

If Reed is going to be a hostage of the cabkiller I think it would be really interessting to see how Mac will react on this, and maybe with Reed's adoptive parents (we never saw them:(). I bet Mac would do everything for Clair's son!
(I HOPE the writers don't kill Reed!!!)

If Reed is killed, that could (possibly) send Mac into a depressed state now that he's lost the only connection to Claire.

Lindsay's in a funk, now Mac could be in a funk, Danny's already gone through his, but he'd probably readily join in, Hawkes doesn't have a girlfriend and is reduced to flirting with a dead shark... Flack is the only one happy! oh what is this show coming to? :wtf:

(Sorry about the Hawkes comment, I couldn't resist :p)

I really hope they don't kill Reed (I like his mumbly voice) and there's enough death (of people we know) this season already, we don't need another one.

In 421, is the situation confirmed (based on the spoilers)? Because I'm still confused (like when wasn't I?) as to how the whole thing goes... and there aren't any spoilers for Lindsay, where's my Lindsay!? :(

What situation are you referring to?

Lindsay isn't mentioned in any of the 421 spoilers that I have seen. Sorry.

^The whole hostage thing I mean.

Boo to no Lindsay. I can just pretend that she's not mentioned because she either doesn't interact with the guest cast, or she has an uber big role :D (probably the former, but I'm pretending remember?)

I'm still confused sorry. If you're referring to Reed, then he isn't mentioned in any of the spoilers I have seen for 421.

I know why I'm confused. People are talking about Reed being a hostage of the serial killer (in episode 420) and episode 421 is called 'Hostage'. However, I don't believe that the two episodes are connected.

421 is where Mac is in the bank. The bank robber, who is holding the bank customers hostage, claims that he didn't kill the bank manager and he wants Mac to prove it. The spoilers (and Lenkov's comments from his recent interview) suggest it's a 'to be continued' episode.

You don't think they are keeping things QT about Lindsay for 421 cause she could be the one being held hostage? I mean it's possible cause if they told us it would be like letting the cat out of the bag.

^I think between Reed in the cabbie's car and Mac in the bank, the show has enough hostages.

My guess is that Lindsay will probably play a minimal role, like she has in the last two finales.

I wouldn't go to say her roles were minimal.....being almost blown up in Season 2 and then coming to Danny's rescue in Season 3. I think we're due to see a major action scene from Lindsay. Maybe this will be the writers way of bringing them 2 back together.....major cliffhanger to leave us guessing till Season 5.

Who knows really.....we just have to wait and see what the next episodes bring us.

I know I shouldn't be contributing to this, but I can't help myself.

Lindsay being outside the building in S2 is not "being almost blown up." Flack was the one who was blown up. You know, the guy who had to have his artery tied off with a shoe lace so he didn't die.

Also, sleeping with Danny, standing around outside the warehouse doing nothing and then dragging off a seriously injured person so she could make his getting held hostage and getting beaten to a pulp all about her is not "coming to Danny's rescue." In fact, her insisting on dragging Danny off after Flack called for EMS to come to Danny could've made his injuries worse.

If the cliffhanger has anything to do with Danny and Lindsay's "relationship" I'll scream and throw things at my TV. Anything to do with romantic relationships on a procedural crime show shouldn't be "major" IMO.

Anyway . . .

I'll scream and throw things at my TV if Reed gets killed off. I love the father/son dynamic he has with Mac. Since Reed may be in danger, I agree it would be cool to see Reed's parents and how they would react to Mac given his new relationship with Reed.

Regarding to what Top41 said, I completely agree.

In S2 finale, Lindsay appeared on screen not for more than approximately 10 minutes, and in S3 apart from having 5 lines outside Danny's apartment she didn't do much. I have a feeling that we won't be seeing too much of her in this finale either.

On this finale, the focus will be on Mac and Stella (especially Mac) and the team. Lately, Lindsay was listed as a regular after Sid, and IMO I think it's a sign towards her involvement.

It will be such a bad move if they kill Reed off. I think that they will put him in danger and make Mac rescue him, and there will be definitely some emotional moments between the two at the end of the episode :D

Can I watch? Because if it is, watching you throw things at your TV will be majorly more interesting :)

I like watching Reed and Mac's dynamic too - and I never thought about the appearance of Reed's parents showing. That's going to be good IMO, if it happens. Gee...now you've gone and made me all excited for the future eps when I'm dreading all the DL drama. This is so unfair. *headdesk* :scream:

Probably, though I wish she'd get more screen time, without any Danny drama, without the writers making her seemingly stupid-yet a know-it-all, all at the same time. Just the good ol' Linds we used to know before the writers went stupid.

And I will be right there with you.. What is this the dating game or a crime show!!!! The cliff hanger should be case driven given the nature of the show. Any relationship stuff should really be left to pad out scripts not be the focus of them.

I feel the same way about this I am glad he is in the eps but if they kill him off I will be seriously pissed off...I might not throw things, its a new TV set....but I could be persuaded to throw things at the writers.:devil::devil:

A bit of drama with Reed I could cope with and it could be nice to see his parents. There could be conflict if Reed gets hurt they could blame his relationship with Mac for putting him in danger in the first place... Now that could be interesting.
