9.16 - "Hunting Ground"
Written by Adam Rodriguez
~ Enrique (a Cuban) and Jean (Haitian) are running (hearts pounding) through the Everglades. Mid-run, Enrique looks down at his leg and notices a chunk missing. He rests against a tree in silence until there is a sudden "thud."
~ Horatio arrives on scene and speaks with "Alligator Pete." Pete was in the area at the time of the thud, and heard the loud scream that occurred shortly after the sound. He's unsure of what happened, but knew something wasn't right. He called the police and now Horatio, Tripp, and helicopters are searching the scene.
~ A helicopter spots something, prompting Natalia and Tripp to respond. They find Jean over Enrique's body--which is pinned to a tree. Jean tries to flee, but in usual Miami ways, Horatio points a gun at his head, allowing Natalia and Frank to cuff him.
~ Eric and Walter question Jean back at MDPD. It's a dead end. Jean isn't talking. Natalia and Ryan go back to the Glades and find a potential murder weapon in a tree. Upon more questioning, Walter finds out that Jean and Enrique were being hunted. There's more out there being hunted, but one thing the team determines: Jean did not kill Enrique.
~ There's not much else to report (at least that can be revealed). I do see mentions of Loman, but I don't see Calleigh so far. From what I see, there isn't much of Delko--lots of Walter, Natalia, and Horatio. Delko and Natalia both have moments where they speak Spanish, and there's also a few scenes where Walter speaks French.

Adam's TV Teasers : CSI: Miami Special
Episode 9.16 is entitled "Hunting Ground."
In the episode there is an upcoming guest star entitled Jean, and the actor playing her needed to be fluent in French and likely a little bit shady due to her illegal immigrant status. Not only that, he forced to take part in a 'disgusting ritual,' a hunt through the Everglades and is being targeted with a bow and arrow. Suffice to say, if he survives he is going to be a key witness in a shocking organisation that hunts humans.
Also look out for Steve, who's described as shady, as well as being a bit of smarmy guy, with slicked back hair. Things link back to him, but he tells the team his credit card was stolen, whether he is involved remains to be found out.
Guest star Wesley makes the arrows which are involved; is he?
Also producers are hunting someone who speaks Spanish to play Javier, the man shipping illegal immigrant's into the US. Does he know of the deadly games being played with his people?
A character called "Alligator Pete" is believed to have witnessed one of the Everglade murders, can he be of any help, and is his life in danger?
If you're after the official synopsis of the episode, this is it: After an illegal Cuban immigrant is found with an arrow impaling his lifeless corpse, Horatio follows the shocking trail leading to a despicable group of hunters who track and kill human beings...
That's all we have on the episode, which airs next year.

ADAM: Adam Rodriguez is about to pull triple duty on Episode 16: He's going to write, direct and act in it. "It's going to be a real high-octane episode," producer Barry O'Brien tells us. "It starts with a victim crossbowed to a tree in the Everglades, and it's literally an action movie from the first frame. It's really an exciting event for us."
vegaslights said:~ The episode begins as Doug Govali, a delivery man, makes his daily route dropping off packages. After making a "quicky" delivery he makes his way back to the delivery truck when two teenage kids approach him. Doug gives the teens their package even though he isn't supposed to deliver out of order. The teens leave and Doug gets back into the truck... where moments later he's strangled by wire and sliced up by a razor.
~ Walter is the first one on scene, with Eric and Horatio arriving shortly after. Doug's body is warm, so Horatio has officers lock down the street in hopes that the killer is still there.
~ At the same time there seems to be a 'B' case going on. Natalia and Ryan investigate the murder of a woman who was working in the drug business in conjunction with her step-son.
~ Not much else to report. No mention of Calleigh from what I've seen. Loman and Walter have some decent scenes.
The producers are hunting for an actor to play Sean, an intern at a doll manufacturing plant. He is described as both bright but misguided. Rumour has it he's sickened by something...
Also on the list of characters needing an actor is Pete, who is apparently "shaken when led to believe his wife & son were messing around." Hmmmm....
The synopsis states that "a seemingly senseless killing of a delivery man and the grisly murder of a business woman become inextricably linked." But how?

James: Any news on CSI: Miami?
Hey, did you see that 60 Minutes segment where Lesley Stahl showed us that Marilu Henner has the weird, neurological notable ability to remember exactly where she was on November 13, 1978 (and pretty much every other single day of her entire life?). Well, CSI: Miami is turning that story about that ability into a TV episode, because that's what they do over there. Producers are now casting for an actor to play a crime witness with hyperthymesia, i.e. superior autobiographical recall.
~ A case from four years ago is brought back into question. There's a huge possibility that the man who was convicted didn't commit the crime, as a similar crime was recently committed.
~ There's a brief moment (in what I'm reading) that suggests Natalia is attacked in the episode.
~ This episode is the one that deals with hyperthymesia (Finch posted something about it earlier)In this particular situation, an eye-witness (Dr. Greg Camden) provides Horatio with a suspect description that is a bit too specific. Ryan and Eric pay a visit to the Dr. after hitting a snag in the investigation, and the Dr. explains that he's not making up a story... the description is specific because of him suffering from hyperthymesia.
~ Ryan has hay fever.
~ Molly Sloan has a few scenes (she's the new Trace tech that appears in a few episodes earlier).
~ "About Face" ends with a montage: Walter, Calleigh, and Eric in the locker room, and Horatio looking at a fugitive board.
I could really use some new CSI: Miami spoilers. — Lisa
ADAM: Then a big spoiler you shall have! In an upcoming episode, one of the members of Horatio's team will be abducted by a presumed serial killer. That kind of behavior is normal among murderers, right? Well, in this case, not exactly. Apparently this culprit has nabbed this specific team member in a last-ditch effort to prove his or her innocence.
Still don't have an episode title for 9.19, but here's what I know!
~ 9.19 begins with a search for killer Randy Kroll. A cop car pulls over a vehicle in midtown, a car we're led to believe belongs to Kroll. Instead, inside the vehicle is Tim Garrigan, a hard worker and family man. As the detective (whose face we don't see at first) approaches the car it's revealed that HE is Randy Kroll. He kills Tim and breaks his tail lights.
~ Horatio and Natalia are the first ones to arrive on scene. A woman captured some photos with her cell phone camera and claims that Tim was killed by police brutality. After Horatio and Natalia look over the photos they realize that it's Kroll, and they're now on a manhunt to find him.
~ Horatio questions Randy's brother, Austin, and his wife. Austin makes it quite clear he has no idea where his brother's hiding and reminds Horatio that he hasn't seen his brother since he escaped from prison. Austin and Horatio have a deep history that dates back to eight years ago.
~ Randy attempts to assassinate his brother during a 'cage match.' Instead, his wife ends up being taken hostage.
~ I see mentions of Molly Sloan, Natalia, Loman, Eric, Ryan, Tripp, Walter, and Horatio. Calleigh is also in the episode, but mostly in lab/autopsy related scenes.

Director is going to be Larry Detwiler
