Episode 605 "Deep Freeze"

The episode opens with former pro football player Joe McClain at home in the early morning hourr. Joe's phone rings but he is hesistant to pick it up b/c it is a restricted number and being a former pro athlete people/fans are always looking to talk to him. Against his better judgement though he answers the phone. A women whom he does not know begins to flirt with him. Turned on by the mystery of it and the fact that his wife isn't home, Joe continues to flirt with the woman. Halfway through the call the women suddenly becomes quiet and Joe jokingly asks to not to be shy-then suddenly a knife slams into Joe's neck...killing him.

The team does not get to examine the body long as the pro althete's wishes have him being crygenically frozen until a time when there are such means to revive him from the dead. So as Joe is frozen; so is the team's evidence!

Martin Wheeler, Joe's manager is an early suspect when the body bag Joe was transported in is found in his car! Martin is the type of guy who kept Joe's bad press out of the press. But Martin is only out for himself...hoping to make a buck off the death of a former star athlete.

Jake Berkely is back in this ep as is Stetler...don't know how big either of their roles are but they there.

Natalia is still learning to shoot. At one point when lifting a box of evidence she somehow manages to pop her shoulder and when Eric helps her pop it back he (platonically) gives her comfort until her pain passe. Stetler apparently witnesses the scene but had missed the overall reason for the embrace.

Didn't see any mention of Ryan....so I don't know what he is up to in this ep.

If the spoilers change, as they always do, I will let you guys know.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

If there's no mentioning of ryan does that mean he won't be back on the show? I'm so confused here.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

No. No. No. All that means is that I didn't see him mentioned anywhere in this ep. It doesn't mean that he has left the show.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

OOH I knew it, us Natalia fans have been saying that her 'shooting problems' will be from the effect of her once broken arm... yay! can't wait!!!

Why would Stetler care about ANYTHING between Natalia & Eric? Is it possible that it meant to say Ryan? or I guess Calleigh, but Im not so sure if she'd actually care, depends on how the first 4 epis are played out.

It sounds as if Stetler may misunderstand what was going on. Maybe Stetler tries to charge Eric for sexual harassment. I wonder if Calleigh sees the embrace or hears about it. The next question is how does Calleigh react?
Should be a good episode.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

Stetler does in fact misread the situation. He only sees the embrace and not the preceeding the scene so of course he probably jumps to conclusions.

As far as I know Cal doesn't hear about the scenario. But apparently Stetler finds out about her and Jake and seemingly mentions something to her and then confronts Eric about how Stetler might have known. Eric tells her it wasn't his intention to get her in trouble but in fact he defended her to Stetler.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

Sounds like were in for a season of Stetler (the department dick) jumping everybodys sh*t about their personal lives..I wonder what he'll say about H & his newly found juvenial delinquint son... He'll probably play the "personal lives are effecting the team members" crap to try & bring 'em all down. Thanks for the info DELKOLOVER, can't wait to see!

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

Do not speak ill of Ricky Raccoon!

*hugs Stetler* Cherry pies for everyone.

Anyway, maybe if Horatio was a competent boss, Stetler wouldn't have to step in all the time. But at this point I think it's probably a game of foreplay they play and then they meet in a motel after work and unwind, if you know what I mean, and I think you do. Growl.

This episode sounds slightly soap opera-ish. The Eric/Calleigh/Jake triangle is still in full swing with Jake apparently clueless about the E/C tension. Natalia is, yet again, the poor weak woman (so sick of her being a damn victim) and Ryan is... working at the Dairy Queen by now? What's the story?

So cheap. In other words, business as usual.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

Oh, fabulous. I'm so excited to see more drama with Eric/Jake/Calleigh. In other words, I really, really don't care and it's getting rather annoying.

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

 OMG!! Yay!!! Mjszud..our dreams are looking bright :D!!! well one step close at least:D!!! and....:eek:WHAT!? No mention of Ry!?!? :(

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

*sigh*

It would be an okay episode if the whole Natalia/Eric/Calleigh/Jake nonsense weren't happening. "Oh ma GOD you told Stetler!" "Nu uh, you can't prove it!" "I'm telling!"

Please. I've heard more mature when I was in highschool.

*hugs Stetler* Love that he's back in this episode. :) I hope to see more of him this season - Truly love his scenes with Horatio so hopefully we'll get to see some of that.

As for Ryan, I think he's the only other character I'm looking forward to seeing again in the near future. He doesn't have half the oodles of drama that everyone else has THANK GOD. (Aside from being fired, of course lol) Plus, he has better hair. :p

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

Ooh the snake is back, interesting. Don't really care about the Eric/Calleigh/Jake triangle Any news about Yelina? *is hopeful*

Re: CSI: Miami Season 6 **Spoiler Lab** #3-Proceed With Caut

I just found another version of the story.

We see Joe McClain in the teaser. Don't get too attached (given his personality that won't be too hard), since he's the victim. He's in his 50's, a former pro athlete still in excellent shape. He's also still pretty frisky, since he gets a suggestive phone call from a woman he met at an event. We in the audience get the idea that something is up since the woman tells him that she is the brunette he met, yet we see her hair and its blonde. Joe invites her over, and tells her that his wife is out. The woman enters and stabs Joe in the neck.

Martin Wheeler was McClain's business manager who Horatio questions. When he comes in, they notice right away that the man has a black eye. Horatio questions Wheeler as to why he was rapidly selling off Joe's memorabilia before Joe died, and Wheeler explains that Joe was spending like he was still in his prime, and he was trying to keep Joe afloat. They argued over that point, and that was how he got the black eye. Wheeler claims that he found the body, then immediately called the cops.
